This is like the BEST plan ever.....and where outlander is screwing up with too many seasons and monotonous stories,…
honestly, the kdrama could probably get it done in 30, maybe less depending on how much filler were to be cut

did not watch the show or read the books, but Chinese seems to be the expert when it comes to time travel/transmigration…
why have one adaptation when we could have both?? lol admittedly i don't watch many chinese dramas (currently working on amending that) so i can't even imagine a cast, i'd be interested to see what people would come up with!

Amazing article! The cast is spot-on, and you reminded me to catch up on Season 5 of Outlander! And I agree Jamie…
Thanks! I'd say "I hope you like pain" but isn't that why we all watch this show in the first place? lol jokes aside, season 5 was good, I hope you have fun~

I would pick Lee Joon Gi for Jamie Fraser. In all honestly probably both LJG and YAI are on the older side but…
Ikr age is so complicated. Even in the STARZ version they had to cast them a bit older than they were in the books (I believe Sam and Caitriona were both in their 30s when they filmed the first season?) which is why I was looking for someone around Yoo Ah In's age because it eventually has to be believable that they're both old enough to have a daughter in her 20s after the time jump. Which is where my concern jumps in for Shin Hye Sun and Son Ye Ji looking/being too young (despite being incredibly talented), Claire has a really mature vibe because she is older than Jamie by a few years and has experience been married.

I'm a big fan of The Outlander (seen all seasons but I've not read the books) and in all honesty I don't believe…
respect, but I would personally have to disagree on the lack of chemistry in kdramas because that's so heavily dependent on getting the right actors. in regards to the rest, i feel like historical dramas tend to get away with more violence than modern day ones? (i'm also of the personal opinion that the sex isn't necessary to convey intimacy). The time and money would be the biggest issue in adapting Outlander because I am sure the rights to the story alone are Expensive.

Sorry but its a no go fo me..The story with its time travel elements has already been used in Kdramas..Eg.Faith,Scarlet…
it's been a minute since we've gotten a good time travel drama from korea tho, and outlander does it so well that they can use the trope without it being too tired imo (or at least that's how it would ideally be if the adaptation was done right lol)

Great post ^^!I would just change Laoghaire MacKenzie's Korean actress, cuz I can't stand Laoghaire and I really…
BIG MOOD. I think because it's been a while since I've seen Laoghaire that the negative feelings have died down so I'm able to picture an actress I really like in the role but I remember h a t i n g her when she was on the show.

I love Outlander! Diana Gabaldons story telling is amazing!I like this idea of making into a Korean adaptation.…
isn't it so hard to cast! i love all those actors, but isn't woo do hwan only two years older than park se wan? this was my problem casting it, i overthought everything lolol

Honestly when I first saw Outlander I was like, "Ok, wait so this is just the English/Scottish version of Faith"…
the first outlander book was published in 1991 so I guess it could be argued that Faith took inspiration from diana gabaldon?

Nice article and way to think outside the box. :) Sounds interesting, but going from hot to chaste love scenes…
Thanks! I've been seeing some pretty steamy kisses lately though, as long as the connection is there I think it could work

Yoo Ah In is a no no for me. I picture a big and tall man as Lee Min Ho, Yoon Kyun Sang or Yoo Yeon Seok. About…
I think Yoo Ah In could bulk up? Have you seen Lee Min Ho's before and after pictures? & ugh i am DYING for yoon kyun sang to do a drama this year i miss seeing him on my tv
