It doesn't have to be a trial for anything "magical" either, maybe they could put them on trial for treason or something? They would have to find another country that went to war sometime around 1620-1630 (which I'm sure there's a ton out there, the Thirty Years War comes to mind for western wars but they could very well just immigrate to China). But then they would be moving to another country where another language besides Korean is the dominant language, and that would be tricky. It's also been so long since I watched season 3 I don't even remember why they ended up in America in the first place lol
Thanks! :D I love adaptations too, as much as I love reading, I also love being able to see the story play out…
Yeah, looks are sooo subjective I didn't expect everyone to be happy, especially since I wasn't 100% satisfied myself lol, what put Yoo Ah In over the edge compared to others was his versatility because if the actor is only there for his pretty face and not able to showcase his many layers, there's no point

Yeah, I was thinking about it a lot. Idk how they would put Claire on trial for being a witch when I'm pretty sure shamanism is a very legal thing in historical Korea, but it's such an important scene for the plot that they wouldn't be able to cut it out. They would either have to cut a lot out (which would hurt but work) or do multiple seasons, but then it gets tricky when you get to season 3 and jamie and claire go to america but i chose to set the korean version in the 1590s when america doesn't even exist yet. Or they could just extend it and do a 24-30 episode run of only do the first two seasons.. i'm rambling now lol
trading those hot outlander sex scenes for a under-18-just-a-kiss-on-the-lips-and-maybe-a-hug-in-the-end kdrama…
lol it's a sacrifice that would have to be made, but i've been seeing some steamy kisses these past few years! lately i've only ever come across those touching lips "kisses" while watching dramas set in high school (thank god)
Outlander is one of my favorite shows/books of all time, it made me love time-travel story-lines. The characters…
That's something I thought a lot about, things would definitely have to be cut not just for time constraints but because they wouldn't be able to air on korean tv. Like I can't see them incorporating all of the rape (which might not necessarily be a bad thing because that gives people with certain triggers a chance to experience the story when they can't watch the original). But yeah, I was mostly thinking about how epic it would be to see Claire and Jamie's love story kdrama style :)
I’m reading a lot of people don’t like Yoo Ah In as Jamie, perhaps they have only seen him in pictures, which…
Thanks! I thought a lot about the setting and well it wouldn't exactly fit (cause you know the king's army beats the Jacobites but Japan eventually retreats after 1598), it's close enough that it the events could be adapted with few major changes. I watched some clips from Chicago Typewriter, Six Flying Dragons, and some of his movies and he definitely has the talent. Looks are totally subjective so I wasn't expecting everyone to be satisfied lol
I love the idea, and I love that you used Outlander, which has been my favourite book series for the past 15+…
Thanks! :D I love adaptations too, as much as I love reading, I also love being able to see the story play out on screen in front of me. I was playing around with the idea of Park Seo Joon, Jung Il Woo, Lee Min Ho, and Ji Chang Wook as Jamie at first because I know all of them have done historical dramas (some of which are super popular), but after watching some clips of his acting I think Yoo Ah In has the talent to at least convey the emotional complexity behind Jamie's trauma. As for Joo Ji Hoon, that choice was no question lol
Wow nice article and a great cast! I haven't watched Outlander but I've thought its premise is similar to Faith.…
Thanks!! I haven't scene Faith yet, but the synopsis seemed so reminiscent of the first season I really got in the mood to watch it after this season of Outlander ended. I've heard great things too~
seo kang joon is incredibly talented, but i think he might be too young? i had to skip over a lot of talented actors like him because i couldn't picture them being a father figure to kim so hyun lol
I love your article!! I love Outlander (though I like the books more), and I was glad on your input on the historical…
I know right! Jamie is Impossible to cast! I think I mentioned it in the article, but I literally sat on this for a month with everyone casted except for him lol and I'm still not satisfied. When I was making this, I was going through the list of korean actors on mdl and one by one placing them in that scene by the river after the english ambush in episode one, and I literally could not picture any of them.
i can not get rid of Sam Heughan face from my mind so I can not imagine yoo ah in playing that role at all. I…
isn't it so hard! i think the only reason i was able to settle on yoo ah in is because i haven't seen any of his works so i was able to let my mind wander more for imagining him in the role of jamie. as for his body, actors bulk up for roles all the time. kim woo bin, lee min ho, park seo joon, lee jong seok, lee soo hyuk i saw a post recently comparing all of their before and after photos and it was crazy
Agree with everything in this article except for the actor in Jamie Fraser's role. He's not hot enough. Sam Heughan…
ikr I was not satisfied with anyone I came across, I was sitting there scrolling through the list of all korean actors on mdl for hours and nobody matched Jamie as well as Sam does
