No matter how much I prepared myself for episode 38, it still hurts and I'm so angry at the system. This "legal…
I don't think this comes from the western culture because here in France I do know some married cousins... and people don't care. as long as you are not siblings, people don't care.
Im done with this show, the overused long lost family member trope has ruined my favorite part about the drama,…
I understand you sooo much!
but, I also think that it's easy to be "perfect" when everything is going fine, but it's when shit happens that you really get to see what a person is made of. and I want to see what is inside hyun jae... my love for him goes until the end. let's support our favorite baby! himna!
I'm watching another show with the same actor that plays MiRae's ex. He's the ML in the other show and is the…
hahaha! this is why girls like bad guys! we see him once with a smile and kind gesture, and for that single time, we are ready to ruin something valuable.
I wouldn't say you were out of line, but I wouldn't say you are correct either. An adoption reunion is like having…
that is exactly why I say that the "adult" one (the grand-pa) should understand that his daughter needs space! the father who works with orphans should understand that! the police structure where they went so often should warn the parties! my gosh, in france you have social workers who warn you and advise you to let the other person some space!
the better thing to do is to change nothing. all they need to know is the true, what's the problem with living…
wow! we have so drastically different opinion on this!
in congo (africa) anybody can take any child as his/her own child. the legal adoption is not considered as something important. as long as the person says "this is my child", it's done.
when formalities are required, the child is asked if he/she wants to be adopted, whatever his/her age as long as he/she can speak and answer the question. this is not just an adults' decision. who ever is the adopter, if the child say no, the tribunal will refuse.
when done, the child is considered a REEL member of the family, from heirloom to rights. there is a saying : anyone who do wrong to an orphan will carry curse and bad luck for his/her whole life.
my opinion is the same as the African one. I see adoption as something sacred you cannot joke with. it's not like you need a child so you adopt one, and you need to ease your "blood" family so you give him no right. this is bullshit. this child is yours or he is not. and you behave consequently.
ep 38 just WHYYYYYY? why would things turn this way?
KAe made the right thing, and talked loud about this habit grand-pa and adopted son had to not share their burden. nice job!
I loved how hjae was eager to find a solution even in this desperate situation! this is a hell of a man!
I really hate the way the grand-father is putting pressure on sooj for her to accept his apology and their relationship. this is really something I hate about family: some people consider that they are entitled to enter your life and/or take decisions on your behalf just because you are related. she is an adult, they are all adults, it is up to her to decide whether or not she will meet him again and how it will happen. this is something you can cope with from annoying great-aunt, but not from a responsible grown up!
he says he wanted to find her because he wanted HER to be safe, but the truth is, he wanted to find her because he wants to lighten his soul from guilt. he needed to talk to her about her medical family history: but he met her twice and was all about "forgive me and be my daughter again!" = I don't care what you need because this is what I want.
he should have brought the family medical history and the letters in the first encounter. then just say: read this, take your time. I was desperate to find you because I wanted my daughter back, but you are 50 now, you have your life and your family, maybe your own reasons to meet me today. just know I would be happy to have you back in my life. call me anytime! and that's all!
This is the second drama I've seen this in, but does anyone know the significance of couples buying new bedroom…
I suppose this is one of the good luck wedding's traditions in korea. every country has it's own non-sens. like why do western brides wear something blue, something old, something new the day of the wedding. it's for good luck.
the better thing to do is to change nothing. all they need to know is the true, what's the problem with living…
I don't think mirae's mother would agree to disown her adopted parents if they were alive, the same way minho doesn't want to disown his adopted father. this is unfair and disrespectful to adoptive relationships.
in this situation, it would be helpful if yjae and haej adopt a child, because the parents will understand how selfish they are: if they can do that 50 years later, then their adopted grand-children can be taken back by their blood relatives even 50 years after.
I really love how this drama make you look into adoptive relations.
The crazy legal aspect of familial relationships and marriages. This is what makes Asian cultures, in particular…
the better thing to do is to change nothing. all they need to know is the true, what's the problem with living the situation as is?
this being said, the 2 solutions left are these: 1- they change nothing and do "as if" sooj and kchul are not related. the 2 adoptions are protected and respected. 2- they erase the 2 adoptions.
you cannot respect 1 adoption and not the other: you have to choose sides. and this would be fair for both adopted parties. in both cases, hjae and mirae can be married.
I liked how yjae behaved with his wife: be at ease with my family so I can be at ease too. (good advice!) we 2 had bad fertility's result, don't we feel more intimate now? (so true!)
hjae just thrilling about being soon married! getting home supplies with his fiancee, choosing rings, and this absolute scene when looking at mirae in the wedding dress without a word! the 2 of them are just heart candy ! (shout out for the actors' acting!)
I didn't like the way grand-father and adopted son just pushed everybody out of the situation, like they are all alone in the world. they treat KAe as an outsider! it really hit me this time.
now the news were leaked, the shit hit the fan...
and most of all, most of everything, nobody looked at the butt commercial this time! I am soooo saaaaaaad!
healer the main lead of k.avengers. they are my better model (the hero and the ajumma) to understand villains or processing falsified info and finding what the true is. they have the best insight, know how to take action, and act very fast.
1st lieutenant: my love from the star's alien. this will be the healer's Thor's hammer. fast, strong, clever, ethical. leaded by healer, he will understand the world better.
2dn lieutenant: do bong sung. for delicate cases which need the feminine touch.
4- goblin as the general for mass battles
5- I hear your voice, because sometimes knowing what people think is winning the battle.
6- alchemy of souls: don't know the drama, will watch, so I give a faith vote to the MDL community's favorite's choice.
I agree with you it's a real feminist drama. I didn't think to add this to my review because for me this is something that should be normal, but you are right... this must be highlighted.
"it's not like you need a child so you adopt one, and you need to ease your "blood" family so you give him no right."
I live in France, I know that. I am not saying the whole world should adopt african's traditions and laws.
I say that I love them so much and agree so much!
but, I also think that it's easy to be "perfect" when everything is going fine, but it's when shit happens that you really get to see what a person is made of. and I want to see what is inside hyun jae... my love for him goes until the end. let's support our favorite baby!
