From what we know Snake and Ruling are going to be together but as much as I want Ruling to have character development, it will never happen. Because she has alreayd made a grave mistake which is colluding with the wrong person, a person who is a literal killer. And she jsut brushes it off simply hoping Ting Yan won't be harmed by this. Ruling open your eyes, Ting Yan cares about Sima Jiao that I don't see her trusting her ever again if she finds out the truth. Overall, she doesn't have any means to justify herself anymore. Wonder how they work around with this tbh. I only see death as an ending for Ruling unless she is reborn in their next life. I can totally see it has a similar vibes to other xianxias but different is different. It feels as if like all the main leads from xianxia dramas are doing quests but Sima Jiao and Liao ting yan are doing a better job . Sima Jiao and Liao ting yan are such a grumpy and sunshine duo. I love them so much. I love the pacing and it is getting better and better. There is something about LTY's humor, she is a funny character and it is not forced. Similarly, Sima Jiao has a unique character, mix of aloof, bloodthirsty yet somehow he is the most caring person. I love this drama so much
