I rewatched ep 10 (again) and noticed so many little things and clues that they sprinkled in there. If you are able to, highly recommend you watch the uncut version because the details are amazing.
Particularly the bits before Khem gets possessed and jumps off the roof - it's insane that they do actually set up all the shots for when he sees Rhampueng (ie: on the rooftop with the priest, when the car almost hits them). It's actually a blink and you miss it moment but so well done.
And some viewers have already pointed out but with each day that passes you can tell that Khem is getting physically and mentally weaker. First watch you think 'Oh, he's just tired and exhausted from being locked up inside 24/7', but then on rewatch you can actually tell the life draining from his eyes with each passing day. It's more than just tiredness. On second watch, I noticed that in the sky lantern scene (with Jet, Charn and Khem), Khem looks like has given up - he doesn't say a prayer like Jet and Charn does, he smiles at his friends like he's just playing along with them, but he's made up his mind that he's going. It's so sad.

The show actually gets better with each episode - totally surpassed my expectations (although not gonna lie, I think my expectations were lowered from some of DMD's recent series).

GCY has always valued their (CC/GCY/WS) friendship and wants to sort out the misunderstandings from seven years ago so that they can all move past it. He might've invited the Wang brothers with the intention to actually sort it all out, however CC couldn't hold his jealousy so that plan went out the window.
Also, pretty sure that in the novel, GCY has something to do with CC finding out about WSW and YY - JXS actually asks GCY if he had anything to do with it and he says mentions that it's better to air out these things earlier rather than later.

what will keep me going for the next six days is the second last scene with CC and WS. CC is clearly setting the boundaries between them and it means he knows he loves WSW and only WSW. So that little bit of clarity will have to hold me til next Monday.

It's so disgusting - the sexism and terrible things that QBY is subjected to. She suffers so much.
And to think there are some families these days that still uphold these idiotic, archaeic values.

EP19 T.T my tears won't stop

This is set in 2007/2008, people probably had a stigma about AIDS/HIV and thought QQY also had it coz QBY had it. Add on the rumours surrounding her and MS, her mum got her to take the test to confirm that she doesn't have it, about in a round about way sort of proves nothing happened between her and MS too.

I really hope everyone gets their comeuppance, but the reality is that this is so difficult whilst most of the family and their social circle (extended family and family friends) are still based in that little village. Everyone around them has the same cultural upbringing and thinks the same as them - that cycle is so hard to break.
You'd hope that eventually as more of the children become educated and experience the world from the city, their views will change, but the change will only be from the younger generation. There's nothing really more you can do about the older generation, hence why I said in my original comment I feel bad for everyone - QY's parents are restricted by their upbringing and education so much that they are trapped by cultural expectations; the grandparents are so stuck in their old ways they cannot see how much it hurts and twists the mind of their children; JR's parents had to adopt because otherwise they'd be the laughing stock of the village and disappointment to the grandparents; JR has the responsibility of the entire family (being the eldest male heir to the Qiao family) and BY's downfall/death on his conscience.
Everyone is a victim of circumstance and everyone's made bad choices. It's just so sad yet so realistic.

Man this drama has me thinking and reflecting a lot. Have to admit, I feel bad for all the characters (although some less than others obviously): they're all pitiful in their own ways, even the parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle (JR's 'parents').

They will hint at this in later episodes but basically chinese families that are based in small villages in the countryside still hold onto the belief that you must have a son. BY and QY were both daughters, so the mother was forced to have another child until there was a son.

Holy crap so much happened ep 18 and 19 - it's hard to digest it all.
ML is on point with the rescue mission. I'm ready for FL and ML to officially become partners and kick some evil butt!

My guess is Zhuang Shi Yang had a hand in helping Pei take down the Ruan family - in return he would get to marry Ruan Xi Wen.

Ep 12 - definitely feels like the ML knows more. He is testing FL, seeing how she will solve this. When she tells the families to take up arms and fight against the soldiers, ML is just observing from the side. As he leaves he tells his daughter that she will be alright, how could he know this?
Interested to see how the family survives this ordeal, as we see they are alive in ep14 teaser.

Totally agree with you! His Man 3 is also giving me too much drama. YJ treats his relationship with MG like an actual thing when in reality you wouldn't even say they had a thing; and MG either still has residual feelings for YJ (but won't admit it) or is just jaded. I also don't like YJ 'flaunting' (if you could even call it that) the couple rings. Either way, I'm fast forwarding the YJ and MG mess coz it's just so unnecessary.
My faves are MS and SJ - the babies are just so pure and lovely. I want them to be happy.

Marking as a spoiler but I'm not sure how accurate this is, but if you watch the trailer, DaiShun are probably endgame as they're obviously the ones that kiss in the trailer and it looks like Kazuto and Alan are also endgame. There's a lot of scenes of those two hugging and stuff.

On ep 2 - going great so far. CGI looks great, characters are great. I love the dynamics between the 3 sisters and I like the two young fox students (the guy fox that chases after the girl fox like a high school crush).
