My god this episode was really cringey. I think the worst actor here is Ace's dad. I couldn't focus on the confrontation scene. They were just shouting at each other and neither really hit the right emotions to make it effective.

They really need a better director and better scriptwriter for the next season. Aki and Miko is wasted on this. They could really hit the ground running if they attend a few acting workshops and have better material to work on. They have insane chemistry but that is about it for My Day. All other casts is a dud except Kim (Leilani) and Moira (Shanice). They need a better off screen support. Probably a new editor too. What is supposed to be a heavy scene was followed by the bubbly theme song to cut the parts. They could've easily omitted the song while showing the title card not to lessen the impact of what just happened. What a waste of talent all around.

I get that people say this series isn't a "serious" series, but the way they're laying out stuff says otherwise.

??? Acting alone GSP would do rounds on My Day. Scriptwriting and directing needs improvements too lol. Are we watching the same shows or do you value My Day because of its steamy scenes? That's the only thing My Day has over any BLs.

Knock on wood but in the credits last week, Vlad tried to get the remote from Karl but Karl shut that down real quick. In this episode, Karl handed the remote to Vlad willingly on the episode where he finally realized he might have actual feelings for Vlad. But on the same credits Vlad dropped the remote.

Ep 6 might be rough after the night they almost kissed. Vlad might have interpreted the way Karl ran back to their unit as rejection and start talking to his ex again. Remember, Vlad does not want to fall in love with a straight guy only to be left alone in the end. So, if he really thought that was Karl rejecting him, then he'll start avoiding Karl to try and stop his feelings towards Karl. Vlad might use his ex "A" (Aldous from wattpad version?) to forget about Karl.

On the trailer Karl was sad, hugging who i assume his Uncle Santi. He looks young tbh, then again, some filipino families are huge, it spans multiple generations. My oldest niece is only a year younger than me. Some of my cousins are actually younger than her lol. So any way, at some point Vlad will leave Karl's unit and sleep elsewhere. In the credits of that episode we'll see Karl watching something sad with no sign of Vlad anywhere in the credits. That'll be torture.

Ep 6 or 7. Set your expectations and prepare for a potential heartbreak lol

Both Ben's best friend and Jim's nanny said it's good enough to be sold! Ben is probably like that because he's told he's good at something when he's not. He needs to stop letting things go in his head. He thought the driver was probably stupid because he's freaking late for like a few minutes and when Olan said it's because of the covid checkpoints, he's basically like "not my problem". istg I'd punch Ben point blank if i know him irl. I mean Ben called Jim good for nothing AFTER Jim told him his dad never approved of what he's done even when he succeeded in Davao on his own. The world doesn't revolve around you bitch calm down. jesus this Ben dude have zero empathy on his supposed "childhood best friend" lol

Ben seems like a dick based on the first two episodes and he's not even trying to hide it. Jim haven't done anything wrong and to attack him for saying the obvious is problematic. Jimson is obviously hurt by the unprovoked attacks by Ben which almost made him make a homophobic remark. Hope he gets called out in the future episodes.

Also why even deny that it was him who uploaded that video he took without his consent? He's literally the only person with Jim at that time and also he talked throughout that video. Ben is such a dumbass i can not with him lol

That's common in certain parts of Metro Manila, but i see why you see that as rude. As for Ate Judit sitch, director and writer already teased, that her actions and/or role as an "ally" is actually gonna be discussed in further episodes. They are waiting to see if people catch on it and it seems you and a few people already do.

...but that's how filipinos speak irl. It also comes from socio economic status of people. The richer the person is, the more likely that person have access to english cable channels growing up which helps a ton as it's easier to absorb language at a young age. This person is most likely attending more prestigious schools where people are more exposed to the English language when travelling abroad, visiting their emigrant parents/siblings (usually US, Canada, or Australia), and is among peers who share the same experience. Vlad is the more affluent person of the two main leads and as you can see he speaks way more english than Karl and so does Ate Judit.

Pretty much everyone in the Philippines code switch between Tagalog + English or Tagalog + English + local language, simply because Filipino (standardized Tagalog) and English are both named national languages and both languages are taught in school from kindergarten until you're part of the workforce. Schools (at least the one i attended) have english-only policy during class and we speak tagalog at home with our parents. It was only a matter of time until the entire country started mixing languages.

As the people who are verse in both languages started having children of their own, they use both languages when speaking to their kids, creating a new generation of taglish speakers. Code switching is used to convey thoughts faster and more efficient and that has become the standard way of speaking nationwide. Any major city: Metro Manila, Cebu and nearby islands, Davao, etcu. have a significant percentage of the population that is speaking like them. You must live outside of a major city and/or live in a place where it can't sustain private schools to not encounter people who speak like this. I don't know where you live, but even the poorest of the poor inject 10-20% english in any given conversation in Metro Manila.

I remember in high school like everyone had zero personal space just like ken and shake in this episode. I remember my friends being this touchy towards the end of lunch break waiting for the gates leading to the classrooms open. Didn't matter if your straight or gay. Just a lot of touching among close friends. Nobody really cared or thought twice about it lol

I'm assuming in the final episode of the first season (It's safe to assume there is a second because of the unprecedented success of GSP for Globe Studios) Vlad will let Karl touch his hair with love in his eyes. Or maybe while they're watching a movie on the couch, Vlad will rest his head on Karl's shoulder and Karl will instinctively pet his head and Vlad will respond by sliding his hand behind in full cuddle position and the title card will light up, credits roll. Then I'm gonna cremate myself and cease existing in this unjust world and resurrect from my ashes when GSP returns for its second season. I hate it here.
