Part of the reason I visit this website is to get realistic ratings from viewers who are currently/have watched a drama. If the ratings are decent, it will often pique my interest to watch a drama. So it irks me when childish pranksters begin to rate a show a '1' when only one episode has aired. I mean c'mon...if you found the episode that bad, then rate the episode, not the ENTIRE drama. I get that everyone is entitled to an opinion (via ratings), but I find it distasteful when a super low rating is unwarranted, especially if the viewer hasn't watched the full drama (or at least half).
I'm calling the necklace Hayama gave Azusa for her birthday during their 2nd year in high school, as the cause of everyone forgetting her. During their 3rd year, when they run into each other on that corner, it falls off of her and I think that causes him to remember her the next day. But once she puts the necklace back on, his love for her can only go so far, and he has to rely more and more on pictures, videos, and notes to remind himself of her existence, until eventually the memory of her just fades away.
i rarely watch thai dramas, but this blew all versions out of the water...and this is coming from someone who truly enjoyed the korean version. like other viewers have mentioned, the chemistry between the leads was fantastic. this is probably what made the drama so compelling for me.
I wish this drama ended at episode 11. I would have preferred an epilogue (SJ saving Most, them revealing who…
You're not the only one who's relieved to finally be able to click 'completed' on this one. While I enjoyed the overall drama, the first two-thirds was much more engaging than the last third. Those last 5 episodes were too full of sugar and fluff to keep me thoroughly interested. IMO Shi Won's character stole the show for me. I'm kind of disappointed he was phased out like that.
I'm gonna get so much hate but it's okay, TOP can't act that well..................
I liked him in commitment and tazza too, which came after 19 and iris. so his acting is improving little by little. And I thought he made a charismatic assassin in iris even if his role was more the silent killer type with few lines. He's a bit stiff in the beginning of this drama, but it's a different genre for him. But on the upside, by episode 6 he seems to loosen up and show more versatility in his role. Hopefully he keeps it up. I'm sure his acting will improve (as with all actors) as he continues trying different types of roles.
thankfully this was only 16 episodes, which quite frankly they could have ended around 12/13. can you imagine the agony if this had been extended to 20, like they often do with kdramas?
The last few episodes don't have the bells and whistles from the earlier ones, but this isn't unusual. Alot of kdramas are guilty of giving you great episodes in the beginning, then throwing in boring and/or slow ones in the middle, and wrapping it up with a fast paced/rushed finale. Admittedly the pacing has been slow, but the writing has been pretty consistent and all of the characters are so likeable (especially Shin Hyeok!!), which is why viewer ratings remain high. At this point, I don't expect any crazy plot twists for the remaining two eps, but I suppose the writers can always surprise us.
well, I hope some fan theories are right because it has been getting so draggy lately that it hurts me. Facepalming…
agree. i still think it's good, but the drama lost some of its momentum around episode 11/12 when the end goal of having the two main leads get together was 'seemingly' resolved without the usual dramaland conflict. it just rarely happens this easily and so early. We're all holding our breath trying to figure what crazy sh*t the writers have planned....if anything at all. :)
Guys, this fan theory is killing me. Pls don't let it be true!!! Do not open link if you have not watched ep 13!…
For goodness sake. This is what happens when you do a big reveal too soon and leave a drama with too many episodes to fill and not enough tension to keep up the momentum. Viewers start coming up with crazy theories. But seriously though...that would be one interesting plot twist if it actually happened. lol.
All the scrambling to find subs, and I ended up dropping this show like a hot rock. I almost didn't finish the…
This behavior is pretty prevalent in most asian dramas that we view. This one is just more in your face and not as sugar coated as in other dramas. If you haven't already read it, ceki91 wrote an excellent article on this issue a month or two ago:
The acting is good but what's with yamapi's character attitude?! I can't enjoy the dorama because of his excessive…
I've only read a few chapters of the manga (which this drama is based off of), but they've already slept together twice. So that could be part of the reason he is obsessed/loves her in the manga. But I agree, it doesn't translate so well into the live action version.
After 10 years, the main lead Takayama, was still angsting over her high school glory days. Give me a break...move on already. If you like slow movies, this one will be right up your alley.
Now that they've done the big reveal, I'm really hoping they're not going to stick with the noble idiocy angle for too long. But seriously, there's five episodes left -- please, please, please writers don't ruin this fantastic drama with amnesia, pettiness, flashback scenes ad nauseum, turning this into an angst filled melodrama or getting rid of Shin Hyeok's quirky, lovable character!!! Especially the last one...I'll really have to come after you if you do that. :)
Pretty decent move for the genre. It was interesting how they recreated the children's games with the Japanese traditional symbols. That said, while Fukushi Sota is welcome eye candy, he really needs to work on his facial expressions. He is very limited in that aspect. I'll need to watch some of his other work to see if he's any better. Kamiki Ryunosuke on the other hand is the opposite -- he played his role well as expected. I also wish Sometani Shota had been a part of more of the movie.

In this drama, as already mentioned, the abuse extends to stalking, sabotaging her dream, locking her up and exerting his will over hers.
