I don't understand why this thing isn't sold to something like netflix so that it can be broadcast internationally. At least they would make some money out of it.
one of the worst dramas I have ever seen. the first 12 eps were talk, talk, talk ,talk and nobody did anything.
The ml is one of the worst leads of any show ever. He is lazy, dumb, weak, breaks all the rules of the sect for no good reason, is biased against other sect members, entitled despite being a childish asshole. His only redeeming quality is that at the end of the drama he knows martial arts and starts to use his head.
And the ending was stupid. It wasn't an ending but a clifhanger. And everyone knows that chinese dramas don't usualy have second seasons. And even if a new season happens the fl would need to be a spy against the ml repeating the plot of s1...
So WeTV announced Xu Kai as Global Ambassador? Can WeTV give prime slot for Xu Kai's future dramas?
doesn't he have few future dramas? at this time shouldn't he have already been cast for more 2 or 3 dramas? for someone that does 3 or 4 dramas a year it doesn't seem possible that he will keep those numbers in 2024 or 2025
I have just finished watching the whole series. Tbh I did not expect such amazing ride. The storyline had its…
I have no idea why people want to compare a reverse harem drama with a comedy/light romance.
I haven't seen sokp but I guess it is the typical melodrama but involves a lot of politics and schemes. wol is something much lighter and focused on action and a single romance.
And I bet much of sokp ranking is due to it having and ending that pleased everybody and that is something rare in those types of dramas.
problem with this drama is that the ML and FL are exactly like the hundred other cdrama ML & FL we have seen in…
The dynamic between the leads on the first half was fresh and new.
Even the leads communicating and understanding each other instead of having arcs where they are in conflict because of misunderstandings or plots from other people was pretty good.
And I don t think this was the typical 2nd male lead being in love with the FL. She never gave him a shot, felt the need to respect his feelings, let him manipulate her into trying to have a relationship...
All in all I think the problems arise more in the second part of the drama where it becomes more slice of life and the FL doesn't t have the emotional scenes the ML has. And it also feels as if she is OK using his feelings to manipulate him all the time
I can see good things in falling into your smile or snow eagle lord, but lost in the kunlun mountains is just…
I agree completly with you.
In regards to snow eagle lord I would also add that as it is an adaptation of a famous novel and anime it makes sense for actors to want to participate in the drama to increase their popularity.
And you hit the bullseye about WoL. The middle was weak and it got draggy but the last episodes redeem the drama and leave the watcher with a good feeling.
Several good CN dramas have a good start, strong middle and weak ending that sucks any will of ever watching them again.
Easily Xu Kai best drama after ALP.As the drama went on, the ML kept shining. His story ark was more fulfilling,…
I can see good things in falling into your smile or snow eagle lord, but lost in the kunlun mountains is just bad. I have no idea why he acepted to participate in such a weak script.
I think the plot where Great General Cui going mad is believable as he once was a great commander who commanded…
I think the FL character ended up lacking emotional depth.
Either because of cut scenes or the story the moments of her father going senile, her wedding and even the aftermath of Li ni almost dying should have much more emotion on her part and they came out as flat.
The male lead delivered his emotional moments much better.
After the rebellion was put down and the show almost became a slice of life I thought it was getting quite draggy at times. But the last episodes were awesome and xu Kai really carried the drama from eps 37 to 39.
The cinematography of the fights were so good that I want to see more dramas from this director. On the other hand, the parts with the fake cui Lin were a failure. The guy can't say monologues without looking like he is in an old drama giving a discourse like it was done in the 60s.
if it ended filming on 30 nov 2022 isn't it too early by chinese standards?
and you are tunning out of his dramas to watch lol.
it is a dick ending.

I Don t know which arc is better and more emotionally powerful.
They are great and xu Kai really shines in them.
We need more dramas that have fully shown happy endings
