I was watching a journey to love that has a lot of hype right now. And after watching ep 8 I can't stop thinking that wol action scenes are so much better than this. The moves were so ridiculous that I just wanted to fast forward

From the traillers it isn't fair to compare this drama to tteotm.
One begins as a light comedy and the other as a serious drama that is suposed to make you feel.

The competition of this drama this year is starry love, back from the brink, love you seven times and dramas like that. If it is really good it can be compared to love between a fairy and a demon,

If you are talking about successes within the fandom shouldn't you add dramas like I am nobody, kunlun palace, love you seven times, wonderland of love and a journey to love? (probably back from the brink too)

I kind of refuse to believe that my journey to you had that much heat given that the first half of the drama is talk, talk, talk. To me that is a drama for wuxia die hard fans that can power through the first 12 eps or so.

I think joy of life s2 has a lot of reservations already. Is this being slightly related to alp help the reservations or is that something irrelevant and people only care about the cast and story/traillers of this drama?

That is a problem with recent xianxia. In the past there was too much melodrama and sufering and now some dramas are too light and childish.
And I think this director tends to be on the too childish tone... However there are parts of the trailer that gives me hope that this will be a serious story on the second half/last third.

Because usualy we should get 4 or 6 eps on the first day and two eps daily for the first 7 days.
So the worst case scenario should be 16 eps on the first week + 6 weeks to end. so this should end close to the end of january.

ps actually I am not sure if in the first week it is usual to have 14 eps + 4 or 6 from the first day or 12 eps + 4 or 6 of the first day

in the comments below someone says he wasn't the main director in the untamed. the hope is that the script is good enough that he can't ruin it.

this seems to have a really good screenwriter but a bad director. It will be interesting to see the end result.

but wol and other dramas this year had to weather the c drama crisis. There was a comedian that made a joke and the government wanted to mess with the entire industry right? I don't think it is a good example.
