I think the relation beteween "legend of the condor heroes" and "return of the condor heroes" is a good comparison.

Basically they are 2 dramas in the same universe where some characters from the prequels are elders in the sequel (like parents/grandparents).

And you don't need to watch the prequel to understand the sequel, but changing the names of the characters/places/important stuff between the 2 dramas annoys the audience that watches both dramas.

that is so bad! Basically at some point this is the type of drama where you need to wait until it airs all episodes because you need to speed watch some parts until the characters aren't so stupid...

From the posts here the phoenix queen and her lover (characters from alp) also seem to have their names changed and I don't know if there are more...
I don't have the same memory for names as some people here but it seems to be several unecessary changes

but just from these eps we know there will be melodrama (the ml kills the fl), misundertandings (looking at you peacock) and likely love triangles (even if they don't last).

And in recent years there has been several light hearted xianxias. I thought this was going to be one of them. I will obviously wait to seem more eps before I have an opinion on the story.

Imagine if you see the legend of the condor heroes and then go see the return of the condor heroes and the drama changes the names of the characters from the first book/drama.

It basically becomes a mess.

I am very surprise by this.
I thought this was going to be lighthearted with a group of young people going on adventures.
However it seems to be a classical xianxia filled with misunderstandings and melodrama. Not what I was expecting at all from the traillers.

Also the ml is on the path of being unbearable. Despite what happened right on ep 1 he still thinks he can do anything, doesn't care about the consequences of his actions and doesn't try to improve himself.

the vines in ep 4 are really bad cgi.

I think the fox demon will find a way to pressure her to betray the ml and be with him if she wants to save something and things will escalate into the war.
My doubts are if after 1000 years it will be a continuation of the tragedy or if it close to the end of the drama.

I think the most probable scenario is that the fl makes everyone believe she loves the fox demon for some reason (probably related to saving the water beasts clan) and only when she is dying tells the truth to the ml.
however it is still an horrible way to start the drama. we all know that something awfull is going to happen.

And I also bet that a thousand years later she will be revived into her phoenix body and she didn't die because of the pagoda in ep 1.

I meant that within the 21st and 30 of december they could air 14 eps or so and vip sell the last 6.

or they will release 14 chaps until the new year and vip sell the last 6 before the end of the year.

do they increase or decrease the number of released eps during those times?

I have no idea what is the meaning of vip in the photo or if there is some hidden info about the other 20 eps.

20 eps in 11 days. Is this suposed to end by new year with tencent selling vip access to the last eps?

Because I can't imagine a reason why they shouldn't be present.
