my advice is to jump the first minutes of the drama. You will enjoy it much more if you don't see that.

so basically we can have the same characters having 3 diferent names because there are 3 dramas...

on the other han these 2 eps were the first time I felt bored watching this.

I got to add that the first ep made it look like the fl deserved what she got. They said that she abandoned the ml for the fox king and helped him in some massacre. The message gets kind of ruined by everybody present having a negative reaction to the ml, but normal people should simpatize with him in that scene.

And beside everything you said about the ml you could also add that dispite being weak and not wanting to improve he thinks he can do anything and doesn't care how his actions afect others.

I think it will happen around ep 20 because of the broken heart.

I think it also has the luck that is airing without much competition. At most jtl that is in a completly diferent stage right now

But characters can be weak and imature and still appeal to the audience like the fl. There are diferent kinds of imature an the ml is a kind that several people don't like. There is nothing to do about it.

And the first scene of ep 1 that basicaly tells the audience that these sweet moments will end up in a tragedy doesn't help the drama. People would react very different to these eps if they hadn't seen that.

I don't think that is very acurate. Very few people have problems with the fl. The problem is the personality of the ml.

And I also think this story seems more targeted for a chinese audience withthe promise of some of the old tropes than to an international audience that has seen several xianxias and isn't as fond of misunerstandings and melorama.

So far I think the fl is original and the way they started the drama 1000 years in the future is original (even though I didn't like it and would apreciate the drama more if I didn't watch that scene).
But yeah I agree with you. The originality and deep scenes of the drama will happen later. But I think we could say something simillar about ashes of love. The real memorable scenes of that drama happen mostly after the wedding.

I don't really agree. we didn't need to be introduced to the tiger clan leader now (he did nothing in the conflict between aunt and nephew and the backstory about his love triangle could have been shown later).
The scene with the immortal court wasn't really needed.
On the other hand I would have like more info about the princess they gave the emblem from the auction house

I watch mostly wuxia and xianxia dramas.
I can see why historical dramas need a lot of named characters. And I would prefer to have characters introduced along the drama instead of all of them making a small apearance in the first eps.

But I think the amount of characters mentioned in this drama is a proof that the leads are always moving around and doing things. It should show that there is too much going on to consider this boring. Doesn't really make sense.

It can't be much later than that because there is a broken heart on ep 20. That should be the end of an arc.

I think we have had a huge amount of named characters. I am used to watching xianxia and I think this is very rare.
we had named people from the ml sect, phoenix clan, devils, fox clan, tiger clan, eagle clan, peacock clan, immortal court...
For 8 eps there has been a lot of named characters mentioned.

ok, but is the next arc one of the better ones? Because you are implying it is and I much prefer the previews of ep 9 and 10 than the previews of eps 11 and 12.

I am watching the drama. And I am not saying his personality doesn't make sense.

But I don't like a ml with his personality and behaviour. And no amount of good justifications for him being that way can make me like him.

I got to agree that the drama isn't boring. It has other problems like an annoying ml, the confirmation on the first ep that something bad is going to happen between the leads and things like that.
I can even understand if people complain that there are a lot o characters introduced in few eps and it is hard to keep track of who is who.
But boring? I think that is unfair.

why do you think that the next arc is so good?
the preview of ep 12 didn't look that good to me and given the broken heart on ep 20 I see a big misunderstanding in the future...
