Saaame. I think I'm too used to C-dramas have female characters who are obsessively in love with their male masters ๐ I was not expecting this drama to deliver baihe (albeit v. mild) content - I am delulu ๐
The romance is unnecessary. The editing with Qian is choppy at best. I wanted a friendship aspect and it seems…
I like how they've tried to give everyone in the 4 time in the limelight vs just focussing on Huzi and QXX, but if it's not handled skilfully enough then it comes across like the drama is losing its focus. This is especially obvious as we're getting towards the end - I almost forgot about Yan because we were so focussed on everything else and Mo Guzi has now โstabilisedโ Qianโs body so it feels like there's no longer any urgency to get him a permanent body, even though we must be getting towards the 49 day limit now? As far as I remember there wasnโt even reassurance from one of the other 3 during the banquet along the lines of โQian, donโt worry weโll be able to get you a new body soonโ, which would have also made them all seem less distanced from QXX after coming back from Qianyu.
- Honestly, I'm choosing to ignore whatever they are trying to do with Xin Tong and Hu Zi. Earlier, people were…
Maybe it's because I'm a miserable old person or I'm just tired of romance dramas, but I was really hoping they would just keep everything platonic because I actually really like the dynamic the 4 have right now. I find with many friendship or bromance dramas everyone in the group is close to the MC but not close with each other if that makes sense, but the 4 all get along with each other very well and I like their chemistry. Personally, I don't think the romance adds anything at all, so for me it just feels like they threw it in there to please viewers who only watch dramas for romance. Not that there's anything wrong with only watching romance dramas (each to their own), but adding a romance where it's not needed or doesn't make sense or where it's potentially not written very well makes me feel very *big sigh*. That's just my personal opinion and I'm old and cranky ๐
Also agree with your point about Huzi and QXX. I can understand that because we've just had the Qianyu and Julun arcs the other three might be more prominent and closer, but Huzi and QXX seemed oddly distanced after how lovingly Huzi was running around looking after the puppet QXX. From the previews it looks like we're getting more Huzi and ZXT scenes in the next two episodes. I hope we see more of QXX with the group soon, I know it's not intentional and I'm overthinking but I always feel so sad when it looks like one in a friendship group is 'falling behind' ๐
How beautifull is the scene in ep22, when QXX as a puppet go in to the sea to take the weapon.I know that it was…
Those images are so beautiful. I think the one of QXX falling injured and bleeding is the most 'beautiful' because of how heartbreaking it is ๐ญ And agree about the ending song, I love LYN but thought the song was a bit generic, but surprisingly it worked so beautifully with that EP22 scene
I'm loving it so far, I'm mainly watching it for Xin tong
One thing they really got right was Xin Tong. I'm so glad the writers made the female in the group strong enough to match the MLs and with the best leadership skills - so refreshing!
Iโm scared. What if thatโs not another version of Mogu but really Mogu himself? What a shocking plot twist.
Mogu's family specialises in medical things right? So maybe his family was experimenting on something to help level everyone up and accidentally created the two primordial spirits? I don't know, probably the more likely reason for the two primordial spirits is the demon king/crane, but I'm just thinking of random reasons why this Mogu is not our good Mogu ๐ If it was our Mogu though then surely Yi Mei wouldn't have tried to kill him before? And if she needed to meet up with him, she could have grabbed him in Fulong and brought him with her and Yan rather than meeting up separately. My gut feeling is that it's not him, just a relative ๐

That would be one hell of a plot twist ๐ฒ I wonder if he's responsible for the Qi's curse; what if the Mogu they met is the 'Yan' Mogu and Mogu who's with our protagonists is the 'Qian' Mogu? Because Yi Mei did say that Yan would find the answer to the issue of the two primordial spirits once she takes him to meet someone and lo and behold, 'Mogu' appears!
Gosh I really can't stop replaying EP22, it's just so tragic - exactly my kind of thing ๐คญ It got me thinking though, I wonder if the Qian we see in the EP23 preview actually has his own body now? Otherwise it would mean Qian has been returned to QXX's body, which is with Yi Mei now, so he'd be running back to them from Yi Mei, which I'm not sure she'd allow? Then how did he get a new body? I wonder if Huzi will offer up his body since granny said they just need some sort of vessel to store Qian's primordial spirit and that's when the demon crane we saw in Huzi 'void space' (forgot what it's called officially) does XYZ plot things and that's how QXX ends up with a body that can sprout wings (as per the trailer). Probably overthinking it waaay too much, I'm just looking forward to the next few episodes haha ๐
Ikr? I kept laughing cos itโs just so weird, but it seems to get a bit more heartwarming at the later parts๐ฅฒ
I laughed out loud when it cut to that scene with Huzi talking to him after he first finds him and the camera panned over to the mannequin sitting on the steps ๐คญ But it gets more heartwarming and then tragic, wait until 35:30-ish onwards in EP22 ๐ญ
The characterisation and pacing has been completely wild, but I can't stop watching. What is this sorcery? ๐
Jiang Long has been one of the highlights for me. I wasn't familiar with him before this, but I've really enjoyed his acting here. He's doing great ๐

Yes, we've finally got to the interesting bit ๐ I just wish we spent more time on this bit rather than all the filler beforehand, because I have a horrible feeling it's going to become rushed with details being brushed over
Also, what on earth is an mpreg novel?! ๐ฒ
Also looking at the previews, wtf I did not expect that person to be the ultimate baddie ๐ฒ
