Those rumors about Yongwoo came at the perfect time wow, them plus his behavior in this week's episode really have me doubting his authenticity. I guess even after trying to keep up a persona knowing you're on a dating show, your real face will eventually show up. I think the moment he realised the 'chase' is over and that Choa actually has genuine romantic attraction to him, things became a bit too much and in their date convo you can tell he's trying to put some distance. I also noticed that in moments when they were sitting side-by-side, Choa's body alignment was tilted facing him, while his was facing forward. Nonverbal body language speaks a lot, he is definitely not as into her as he was.
Following that, from what we see and from what Cheolhyun previously had said to Choa, Yongwoo doesn't really seem to give her any special attention while they're in the group. This may be a stretch, but idk after seeing Yoonjae & Yunha's little private interaction in the house (Yunha laying down on the couch, Yoonjae sitting on the floor beside her, I was absolutely dying) I was wondering why we didn't see much of that despite them also being a sure couple. I've seen a few commenters say that Cheolhyun's doubts about YW were probably right and I agree, also it's funny how our opinions have seem to have switched with CH's, first we loved YW and he was doubtful, now he's encouraging YW and we're doubtful. There's definitely a gap between what the editors are showing us onscreen and what he sees as a participant there.
I think if there was a couple that would actually genuinely start dating outside the show's 'endgame', it would have to be Yunha x Yoonjae. They just keep getting cuter and cuter, and personally I think the guy has to like the girl a little more for the relationship to work out, so he's definitely checked the box here. That couch scene kinda sealed the deal for me, something about it being so intimate yet in an open space gave me butterflies. I did have doubts at first but now I feel like it is genuine romantic attraction. I just hope they won't fail me like a Certain couple, still recovering from that so I'm not keeping my hopes up.
As for Seseung x Jungsub, I think there is definitely something special there between him. From what I seem to understand about Jungsub, he's truly treating it as a dating show, where he wants to get to know all the girls before making up his mind, but at the same time the natural emotions of real dating like jealousy and insecurity kick in so he's stuck in the mix of both, making himself confused and also confusing to Seseung. But Seseung clearly went in thinking there was genuine mutual attraction just between them (which she had every right to believe considering how he was behaving) and now is understanding that he's isn't as honest as he says. But there is still something of a connection between them, despite all of this messiness. I strongly believe that if they met more naturally, as in outside of a dating show, they would have definitely hit it off. I think the circumstances have pressured them to behave slightly differently than how they usually are in dating.
Jaehyung finally being proactive in a date is SOO satisfying. It took us like 10 weeks but wow I am so glad we finally get to see it. It's clear that despite this being a dating show, he's not going to just date anyone for the sake of it, he's completely following his feelings and that's so refreshing to see. And it's natural that you may not feel romantic attraction in a pool of 4 possible love interests. But gosh, the way he's brightened up around Jiwon is so nice, we don't know yet about how she feels but I am really rooting for them. Whether they find a good partner on this show or not, I am rooting for the majority of the cast to find the right person one day <3
i hope Yoonjae is not overdoing it and it's his true personnality,SS is so funny, i like how straightforward she…
considering how much Yoonjae's sister is hyping him up to Yoonha I think he is for the most part showing his real personality as a romantic interest. Obviously he's very different around his sister/family but I think we can say that about everyone. But from the way Jiwon is promoting him despite having small personal grudges makes me think he isn't being that different on the show compared to his real self.
Not far into the drama and idk if anyone else commented or share the same thoughts but doesn't the script/directing seem a little off? The actors are doing a good job and the storyline itself is very interesting but I feel like the way the scenes build up & unravel (?) could be done a lot better. And the 'funny' scenes give me a bit of second-hand embarrassment, idk what it is about them but they seem so forced. I know the actors are doing their best so maybe the directing/script shouldve tried harder to make those scenes more natural.
Is anyone aware about the YW issue on Twitter. It can upset many people but there's no proof if it's truth or…
Man, you never really know what these people are like irl. Him and choa honestly felt too good to be true for a dating show. I dont know if the rumors are true or not but it's a good reminder that what we see on tv isnt very accurate about who they are as people. Thanks for bringing me back to reality lol
- oops i see a crack between YW CA and SS JS , i think next episode SS and JS will done - my ship on JH JW , make…
Yup I really hope by the next episode Seseung can more firmly push away those lingering feelings about Jungsub and chose herself, her mood has been down because of him too much these past few eps
My heart was breaking for Jiwon, I can't imagine how frustrating and lonely she would have felt then. Like you can tell she's taught herself to be strong and independent from a young age through the way she behaves and the almost stoic expressions she has, because she couldn't rely on anyone but herself. She was her older brother's emotional pillar and he could rely on her his entire life, even in the show by her entering a new environment full of new people first and getting accustomed to it so that it'd be easier for her brother. She was always there for Yoonjae, and in one of the rare moments where she tries to open up about her own feelings and struggles, he manages to make it about himself. Just thinking about it makes me frustrated and want to cry bc i've been in a similar situation, so I'm not surprised it caused her to cry to, despite her strong exterior. Being the pillar takes its toll, sometimes they want to rely on someone else too. And she's the younger sibling too, younger ones usually get to rely on the older siblings. Her comparing Yoonjae to the rest of the sibling pairs made me so sad, she must've felt some resentment towards her brother seeing all of that like, "they all dote and care for their siblings, why couldn't you be like that too?". She deserves so much happiness, I hope she finds someone that she can lean on, even if it's not from this show.
The way I tried to watch this week's episode as soon as possible, I've been waiting for the age reveal for a long…
Everyone was a little older than I expected except Yoonjae, Jiwon, and Yongwoo (I thought he would be older). Cheolhyun being one of the older participants shocked me. You could tell he had a small age gap with his sister but still considering his personality and attitude I thought he was a lot younger lol.
Choa being a year older than Yongwoo definitely made Choa a bit uncomfortable, and it makes sense. A big reason as to why she liked him was because he gave off the feeling of a dependable, older man. So her being the older one is a little off putting, but at least it looks like it won't be too big of an obstacle between them. Definitely helped that Yongwoo didn't mind a bit. Some people have claimed Cheolhyun was 'manipulating' her away from YW but this episode just shows that she has already been having some hesitations about him for a while. It's the first time I felt something may get in between our YongCho couple, if a problem was to happen between them it definitely wouldn't be an external factor like another participant but instead a clash internally.
I was also worried about Yoonjae x Yoonha considering YJ has only dated younger women and liked to stay in the 1-2 year age gap, but surprisingly he is still genuinely very interested in YH. Age can definitely be a make-or-break in relationships so it's nice that he's willing to go out of his comfort zone here.
The sibling duet was a cute way for everyone to show their charms. For the most part, the older siblings were more competitive and serious about it compared to their younger siblings that were more go-with-the-flow, and it's so funny how that kinda thing can be so common in sibling dynamics. Personally my favorite was Jiwon & Yoonjae's duet. I just found it so funny how they were supposed to sing a serious song but the tiny vocal changes and Jiwon's reaction and their behavior in general made it a lot funnier than it was supposed to be. I think the editing played a part too, I couldn't stop laughing. And Jiwon's voice omg, she was so much better on stage than during practice. I'd say the opposite for Yoonjae, which was a shame, but something about Jiwon's singing was so captivating.
I was reallllyyy hoping Seseung would pick someone else for the plane date, particularly CH, and I'm sure she must've felt a little regretful about it too. I was also rooting for Jiwon x Jaehyung plane date considering they are both curious about each other and Jaehyung doesn't have any feelings for Juyeon. I'm looking forwards to seeing how things will change in Singapore, plus YongCho finally has a massive date instead of their usual brief ones yay.
The way I tried to watch this week's episode as soon as possible, I've been waiting for the age reveal for a long long time lol. It just really changes the dynamics of the group and the couples too. And honestly I think I was as surprised as the cast. There were a couple that I expected, like who was the youngest and a certain pairing being the same age, but other than that I was really thrown off. [rest of ep 9 thoughts in my reply]
I think CH need to get away from his sister business . It doesn't matter if he help her or not but one shouldn't…
He is invested, I agree, but I don't think he's manipulating her, or even trying to. He knows there are sides he only sees from the male contestants as a guy himself, plus Choa's work schedule means she isn't spending as much time with the contestants as the rest. Considering how incredibly close both siblings are, since they literally had no other family to rely on but themselves, they truly just want the best for each other. And by the way Choa responds, it seems like she is listening to what Cheolhyun says, but she's not completely making her decisions based off of his words. Like even with him encouraging something with Jungsub, she never really developed any romantic feelings for him and remained attracted to Yongwoo. Let's give these people some grace, I truly think Cheolhyun just wants the best for her and Choa knows that. She may consider what Cheolhyun says, but she will ultimately make her own decisions based off her own feelings.
Totally agree with your thoughts on the 'sibling sacrifice date phone'. Just to add that i really dont like this…
I agree, it's a shame we had so many dates lined up and it got cut down to one. But I think finding out who gave up their date for their sibling and who chose themselves gave each other some insight about how their future date was feeling about it, or at least some of their dynamics with their sibling. It might be a stretch but maybe some even felt relieved by not going on the date since it was the sisters that chose for each other. Hopefully we get a chance for dates where both sides actively want to do it.
[ep 8 thoughts, warning kinda long] The thing with the sibling-sacrifice date is that FOUR people have to individually agree on one choice without talking to each other to make one date work. The probability of that is very low so it makes sense that only one couple 'survived' it. It heavily relies on how you feel, and how well you know your sibling and their choice. I like that even though Choa and Cheolhyun didn't really synchronize their choices, they both knew exactly how the other would respond in both rounds and still made a choice depending on their own feelings despite that.
Things have become a lot better after the siblings have been revealed. Everyone is a lot more comfortable in their own skin, and it's good that Yoonjae appeared now after the reveal because otherwise I think he would have struggled a lot more. At least now he can openly depend on the comfort of his sister's presence considering his awkward and shy personality. I had seen a couple comments about how Jiwon and Yoonjae wouldn't be a good fit in the group soley based off of first impressions, but I'm glad they proved yall wrong. They are fitting in really well, and they are both lovely, warmhearted people. From today's episode, a couple female contestants expressed how much they like Jiwon and honestly that says it all. She's a girl's girl, so you know she's a good person.
I think it was nice of them to introduce the 'none' option. A lot of times contestants would feel pressured to choose someone, even with no big feelings, just because they have to. This makes the texts a lot more authentic, because now the recipient knows "you didn't have to choose anyone but you still chose me". This opens up the possibility of more genuine romantic relationships to grow. It was cute seeing all the sibling pairs have their one-on-one talks all in different areas of the house. That's one really good strong point about this dating show compared to others, you always have that one person you can rely on no matter what. You'll never feel isolated or lonely because you have your family there with you. And I'm glad Cheolhyun finally fixed his misunderstanding of Jungsub/Choa/Yongwoo lol, at least now he'll start helping out with the right couple.
I love Jaehyung, and I hope he actually comes out of this show with a love partner. I feel like his full potential…
From my eyes, it doesn't look like Jaehyung has much attraction to her at all, he's just thinking about the possibility. I wanna see how he'll be with Jiwon, since theyve both said the other reminds them of their ex.
But it's a tricky line because the panelists are all pretty well known people, most of them being celebs, and…
Like the other commenter said, there's a contestant that starts becoming pretty controlling over her ex, to the point she starts arguing with him because he didn't listen to her instructions (which barely even made sense, since he had to make a decision based off his feelings not her words), and she basically says to another contestant's face that she doesn't like the fact her ex is interested her, making things very uncomfortable.
