I was so afraid to read this. If you said something negative, I was going to tell you to meet me outside! LOL It made me such a fan of Katsuhisa Namase. Thanks so much for reminding me of why I adore this franchise.
I was so scared when I fist read this. I don't understand why he needed surgery for a fracture, but as long as he heals up, I'm happy. I hope they finished the filming of Sinkhole. I hope he doesn't get replaced in anything like s2 of Live or s3 of Busted.
So true! I'm desperate for season 2, it's soooooo awesome! But it's probably never gonna happen 'cuz South Koreans…
Really?? Damn that always happens to me. I was the Icon of No Sequels with J-dramas and now here we go! I'm always surprised by the titles loved in other countries, but not in their own.
You have most of my favorite Netflix Kdramas on the list. I may have ordered them differently, but they were all good. I'm surprised Chief of Staff isn't on the list and I haven't seen 3 titles. I added Stranger and the one with Jang Hyuk the other day. Out of the 7 I've seen, I've recommended Arthdahl, Live, and Kingdom the most, especially to people who don't watch Asian dramas at all. I'm waiting for new seasons off all 3, but I'm most anxious for Live so that's my fave. Live final answer. :D
"Was there anyone besides me that was more concerned about the goblin and the grim reaper finding each other again instead of the goblin bride and the goblin reuniting?" No, my friend, you are not. Their bromance is the only reason why I finished watching Goblin tbh. Hana Yori's/Meteor Garden's F4 are a wonderful bromance (bromances??)! I've seen all of the adaptations. There's only one adaptation that kind of fails because they have almost 0 chemistry between the 4 of them.
I think Don Lee brings the chemistry. There's almost always a bromance in everything he does. He even had a semi one with Gong Yoo in Train to Busan. Who the hell gets bromancy running from zombies?! I can see where you're coming from with Bad Guys, but I wouldn't rate it high on a bromance meter. I think Squad 38's bromance between Lee and In Guk Seo is better.
Zettai Reido 4?? I was unaware that there was a Zettai Reido 3! Three and 4 don't seem to have anything to do with the original and 2. Interesting. I really like Ikki Sawamura so I'm really surprised. A few interesting titles. Thanks.
Weirdly, I disagree with Ki Young as Hirataka, but I'd like to see him in the role. Does that make any sense? No? Not to me either. LOL Honestly, I feel the same about Song Ji Hyo. I am no fan of Jo In Sung. I don't even like his personality in variety. I dunno, I just don't like the man. Kabakura is my favorite character. He deserves better. I wish Ji Sung were taller. He'd be my choice.
I have to admit that I kind of agree with the statement re: Japanese cinema. I just don't know if it's the fault of a franchise. Bayside sounds familiar honestly, like something I never finished.
Thanks. I only read the Japanese list. While I've seen quite a few, I haven't seen them all. I did peruse the other countries. Taiwan seemed a bit thin. I'm surprised I didn't see Mars.
I don't know why I still thought Johnny was 59 in my head. A perpetual 59 I guess. I'm sorry he had a stroke and wasn't home and peaceful as someone at his age deserves. Admittedly, I do hope some positive changes for the talent comes about.
So....Meitantei no Okite aside, you guys like melos, huh? (I hope Kyou Kara is beause you read the manga or watched the anime and wanted to see the live action. Otherwise, I worry for the both of you. j/p) I wish I had something to compare, but I don't. Meitantei no Okite and Algernon are on hold for me. I love both Shota and Yamapi, but I haven't gotten around to either drama. I do hate melos so someone will probably have to tie me to a chair or something to watch Algernon now. On the Johnny note, I'm kind of hoping now that he is dead they relax on their idiotic rules. I honestly think Jin's banishment was a witch hunt.
"To put it simply, the drama is like a rotten egg, that somehow hatched into a headless chicken, and proceeded to create chaos everywhere. " *DEAD!* That was the single most funniest thing I've heard/read this week. I tend to disagree with the ravings and love given to A LOT of dramas. I don't write reviews on such dramas (except 1.. I just couldn't take it) because I don't want to be bothered with someone trying to explain to me why I'm wrong like I'm too stupid to understand a plotline. Or even worse someone just crazy angry at my o-pin-ion. Seri? Did you write/direct it? Plus, given my personality, well... best to keep quiet. :) By the way, I am totally taking W off my plan to watch list.
