Personally, FL's cold expression fits so well with her character. I didn't know that some ppl have problem with her being the dominant character over ML. I really love the roles reversed here, that's from the usual dominant ML character, even though both ML and FL are smart and cunning, but ML will come out as more smart, cunning, etc. in the drama. In this drama, FL is the dominant one and that is just so good. She was brought up to be the head of the Rong Family, so every step she took had to be calculated. When she senses something is suspicious or doesn't seem right, she investigates quietly. I understand her character and her position. I think some ppl just feel bad for ML and started to dislike FL. Also from the opening, the audience should have an idea that this is going to be a female centric show.

It is not a bad drama. It's ok, I guess good. But I was waiting for them to go back to heaven to settle the score. Like damn, FL is the legendary ancient Phoenix that even Heaven is afraid of, but she's just go on the run and not fight. She will just be hunted by Heaven since her power can destroy them and on and on for all lives and can't reveal her true form. We need the Heaven Arc where FL is in her true form and fk Heaven up.

I forgot FL entered the faked one. I thought they didn't want to change history, so that FL and ML will exist in the future. That's why Zhao Ming repeated his actions from 10,000 years ago. The same for Pearl and Fate. Fate destroyed himself, that basically erased Fate from history. That did change the course of order in history.

The ending doesn't make any logical sense. They have to follow the same course for things to stay in order for the future; yet, Fate destroyed the Book of Fate (himself). The Book of Fate appeared several times in the the future (current timeline) and had interactions with both FL and ML. For him to destroy himself in the past timeline, that means he will not appear in the future; which means it did change the future becuz he will not exist in the future anymore.
For Hao Tian, I understand becuz he doesn't have a physical form. He is just air. So for him to exist or not, it's still just air. But Fate has a physical form. FL and ML also had entered his Book of Fate. Other humans also had interactions with him as well. All of these had changed/ will not happen anymore becuz he destroyed himself in that past timeline. I guess since we got a HE, we'll just have to forget it.

SML has the saddest character in the drama. His character carried the most weight on his back while getting hate. He did all he can to save the world from getting destroy by Hao Tian. In the end, he still got a tragic ending.

This flashback is taking too long. 5 eps and it's still not ending. >.> We only got 6 more eps left.

I think so too. Did you guys see when she cut CZ's dad's hand and then she used magic to make his hand grow back? Before the flesh showed, the hand was like some white cotton.

He has always been an Eternal. His parents are Eternals too. They're from Lanling. His parents just disguised themselves as bum sellers when they came to the human region. Chong Zhao had been a student from Lanling since his was a little kid. They just kept it a secret and didn't tell anyone.

FL and 2ML seem to be a couple in heaven? But due to something, maybe 2ML did something. She jumped down and he tried to grab her but didn't make it. So he has been chasing her, like life after life.

She is strong and smart. She can read people and the situation and adjust accordingly. FL is basically the strongest in the drama, beside the monk but he's dead long ago.

Thanks for the link. I didn't see anywhere that say he is a main. They listed the 2 mains: FL and ML and the rest down. Cui Yan, the paper maid is also on the same tag as him. How is she not considered a main but him? I watched all 40 eps and his role is just like another other dramas where the captain/head of guards do their jobs. Nothing much to make you think he is a main. I was looking for the 3rd main ML when I first started becuz of that MDL list. >.>

Can you link me the Weibo post that said he is a main? It doesn't make sense for him to be credited main but was basically a support in the drama. The 2 paper maids have more potential to be considered main than him. And I don't hate him or anything. I'm just wondering why credited him main when his character in the drama isn't maining.

Whoever put the cast/credit, Lu Ying is not a main based on the 40 eps that were aired.

The ending was rushed. After all what ML did, I didn't feel bad nor being emotional for him. Ik it's supposed to be emotional at the end, but I just couldn't feel for him. >.>

ML deserves a hard punishment for his dumbass. Don't tell me he's NAIVE and KIND, his dumbass piss me off. FL just kept calling him and was happy to see him even tho his ass was helping that damn Bai Ze. I need to see her BLAME him........... The fact nobody blames him, OMG. And what's funny and ironic is that ML never blames himself for helping the villain. What a btch. A hypocrite 1 becuz he always blames FL.

I actually was wondering about the hate for this drama. I almost didn't pick this drama up becuz of the hate and negative comments. But I'm glad I did. This drama is better than some of the dramas released this year.

ML isn't strong as in martial art/power but he isn't weak too. Not sure about the ending yet.

ML is kinda annoying. He seems smart but then also stupid. Being naive honest.........asking FL questions/questioning her right in front of those bad guys. Ask her in private at least >.>

Some popular dramas had worse CGI if we're being honest.....even some new ones. This drama is low budget and it was made couple years ago. I saw ur other comment about Tencent could've made the editing better for it to even be a "decent" drama. This drama is already decent/more than decent for some ppl. And it definitely doesn't look like it was made 20 years ago. For them to have better CGI/editing, the company will have to pour in more money when this is already a low budget drama.

I caught up to all 11 eps on air atm. It's fun and good. The negative comments and the drama are actually 2 opposite. The only thing I agree on is the CGI. It's a low budget drama, so I understand this part tho. The wigs and clothes etc. don't bother me. At first I thought the wig was kinda funny on ML because I read the comments here on how bad it was. But it really didn't bother me and I didn't think it was really that bad. The drama was enjoyable and I eventually forgot about it. It probably comes down to preferences. "QUALITY/GOOD" to others may not be quality/good to you vice versa for "BAD/WORST". I'm watching the other dramas that are on air atm too and I don't think they are WOW or miles away from this drama overall. If you pick like 1 or 2, etc. bad things to talk about then yea every drama has problems even the high QUALITY/GOOD ones.

The actings are great. I love how the FL is the main focus of the drama as she is the titular character. Often times, we see how the Title is literally the FL's name but the ML got more focus. Or FL\Female centered drama would focus a lot on the ML/males rather than the FL/female. ML is such a cutie. It only took FL to say "Be Good" and he already smiled and blushed and forgot to be angry at her, LOL.

P/S The plot twist for this White Tiger segment is also sad. The character you thought is bad and hated could be innocent while the one you cheered on could be the culprit. If I have to rank, I'd say I like this segment better than the mermaid segment- 1. White Tiger 2. Mermaid
