the early spring made me look for more of jing boran's works, and came across this movie with a good mdl rating. he's always been an excellent actor, his and zhou dongyu's performances were heart-tugging. the way i bawled my eyes out!
the first time i've seen and adored him was when i've watched one smile is very alluring—love o2o movie version—last 2020. he had a good chemistry with angelababy there, i also suggest y'all to watch it if you're in the mood for a light-hearted romcom movie.
SZT had also repeatedly kept a part of herself from him, that made him act/react in certain ways. I'm not justifying his past actions, but it was a pity for me that only LN apologized for his wrongdoings, but she didn't realize her shortcomings too in their relationship. Maybe it was because of shortened scenes. I still love my girl tho, she truly had a difficult time.
The show did great with fully immersing the viewers with their relationship, and I'm really happy to see these two imperfect people grow. They were so bad at communicating that explaining their thoughts and feelings were harder than saying harsh words to each other, but we get where they're coming from, and even in real life, not everything really gets an explanation. In the end, what matters is not who's right or wrong, but if they'll still trust and choose each other.

How was it bad for you? I mean personally, it wasn't the best but it still didn't cross boundaries. She's not implying her experience to her friends' relationship, and have kept a positive outlook on what the other person could've been thinking—they were not straight-up an advice one would actually praise, but also not one that would make Tao doubt her worth to Nian, so all's okay for me. 😅
Oh, to add up, the only advice I don't like was that she said "leaving some questions unasked may make a relationship last longer" lol.

Sun Yu and Tan Mian are good bff's / dating advisers. They helped our FL and ML through so much, I can't imagine this show without them. It especially warms my heart that they're not looking on the negative side first, but just purely supports the main leads' interests.
I heard this was original a 36-eps drama but they cut it to 24-eps. Now I'm kind of worrying about how the pacing will go, now that I'm still halfway in the show.
still at ep9 and wth! i just found out the real stage of their relationship. please tell me this is just at the beginning, and they will have "label" later on? cuz both needs smth they can hold onto, especially with all the misunderstandings that are abt to happen 😭
dropped at 17. started off strong but kind became boring. I had much more expectation. not enough intriguing
i also dropped it at ep17 when it was airing, but i picked it up again last week and it become a bit interesting again. i'm now on ep31. maybe try to give it one more chance? only if you'd like ^^
