I'm still on Ep10, and wondering why the other 3 actors are considered as main characters here. So far, they haven't really shown any relevance to the drama (except knowing that they came from powerful families). Looking forward to the build-up of these characters. :D

The synopsis seems to be somehow similar to Hidden Love, which makes me have lesser expectations. But still, I wanna watch it for my baby Lu Yu Xiao and Lin Yi. I'm in!

The poster alone is already captivating, and the synopsis makes me feel like I could expect something in this drama. And I'm not really a fan of HMH, but I absolutely love LYX in My Journey To You, Blossoms in Adversity and The Perfect Match! Count me in. :D

Where is your source there are not A-list? This drama is a adaptation from a Big IP, if the drama adapted from…
No. I didn't. But I do know it has a big IP.

Also, from what I know, A-list actors are those "on demand" who also have a huge fanbase and is highly sought-after by investors and advertisment companies, just like the Four Dan Actresses.

This info on reddit might also help with the classifications of actors in China. https://www.reddit.com/r/CDrama/comments/1799143/list_of_s_and_a_actorsactresses_rn/

This is the first c-drama that I've seen where the main leads are not A-list actors, yet so many people are waiting. Is the novel also that popular? Anyways, I'm so happy to see Zhou Ye and Ryan Cheng again on screen. 🥹

Finally done! Thankfully, Episode 12 explained the confusions from Episode 11. Now, I'm relieved that everything went well and that Yeom Hwa somehow redeemed herself (even though she doesn't really deserve it). I still feel like our main lead's precious moments were taken away from them (and us viewers) with all the time jumps, and I don't like how the Bong Su plot was dragged and the ending was rushed. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it overall—a solid 8.5/10.

The plot surely have down sides, which is the pay they must price for trying to make a somehow "unique"…
Oh, thanks for telling me that! I might have overlooked those aspects before, but now I'm convinced.

The writers have done such a bad job writing this. When the comment section is full of confused viewers, you know…
The plot surely have down sides, which is the pay they must price for trying to make a somehow "unique" world. But even though everything is a mess for now, some of us still find it compelling from the beginning to the end. So yes, the writers did a bad job at some part, but I think it was yet difficult to tell if the writer failed—though we'll know tomorrow for sure.

Petition to add at least two spin off's of their happy moments together! Please let them be happy, and let the viewers get closure. Tomorrow's ending won't be enough for sure, so let them be happyyy!

Title Head over Heels Spoiler
sooo as yeomhwa said that the longer the evil possessed, the higher chance of the vessel will die... looks like…
true, and i think the 100 souls whom Yeom Hwa offered to Bong Su (when he haven't possessed Gyeon Woo yet, which Seong A is yet to console) also made things more complicated 😭

now, i just wonder how are they going to squeeze everything in the last episode tomorrow without it feeling rushed. AAAAA

It was a great movie! Honestly, it would've been easier to catch up if you already watched Light Shop (other adaptation), because watching the movie might be a bit confusing if you didn't. Though, it managed to keep us guessing and guessing as we slowly unravel the clues of the entire plot.

I'll try to avoid spoilers as much as I can, so let me just note down here some pros and cons, as well as comparisons of this Chinese movie to the Korean series.
1. This movie is not really scary, but more on supernatural. The other adaptation is more eerie and thrilling, so if you came here because of the horror genre, then you might get quite disappointed.
2. One of the reasons why this can be confusing is that the time stamps did not much help. But I also think the director failed to elaborate more because the length of a movie—it's shorter than a series. This is why I'm suggesting you guys watch the Korean adaptation first.
3. In this version, the two characters who appeared in the first scene were not really included in the major part of the story, and they only showed up like thrice in the movie. While in the the Korean version, their characters contributed a lot in building the whole storyline.
4. Since the Chinese version is shorter than the Korean one, it has more loose ends. I won't discredit the movie for its efforts in tying up many loose ends, it already did a good job as a movie. I'm just saying some scenes could have been executed better or explained more clearly.
5. Even though the movie is shorter, it still had stronger points that I personally find more compelling than the other version. One of those is that the FL, Xu Nian, have been part of the supposed-to-be "shared universe," and the reason behind it made me sob hard even after the movie ended. It was not in the Korean adaptation, so it was unexpected for me and I surprisingly love that twist. There are more, but it would be a spoiler if I stated everything.
Extra: The GL will always, always, always get me! In the Korean series, Seon Hae and Hye Won really pulled my heartstrings, and here, it's Yu Shan and Jia Yi. All actresses did a really good portrayal, though sadly, their moments are a bit short especially in the movie, so we don't get to really explore their backstories.

That's all that I can think of for now! It's already 5am in my country and this movie made my eyes become puffy so I can't sleep. Anyways, hopefully this would help other people to decide whether to check this movie out or not. <3

Cho Eun Ae is a refreshing character, and arguably have the most depth here in my opinion.

In the eyes of the viewers, her story as the female lead in the first book was a classic sweet poor girl falling in love with a tough prince, and they faced countless battles and went through a lot of struggles, with a happy ever after ending—but no one knew how she actually felt as a person and how those experiences shaped her. I'm actually glad she turned out to be a character who's not pure good or pure evil, unlike what we initially thought. I watched this for both the leads, but ended up appreciating her character more. I also want to praise Kwon Han Sol for her acting, especially in the last episode. Her scream got me!

For me, she and Prince Seong Hyeon carried the show in the last few episodes. I still want to give this drama a mid rating though because Ep1-8 is enjoyable. It's not a bad drama, don't get me wrong, and it's not that I hate the last few episodes—but I started to lose interest, that's why I only finished it today. It was a solid 7.5/10.

The commenter saying gyeon u isn’t a like able person really pmo sorry 😭do you hate the fact his a normal…
Oh, I just scrolled through this page and... did not expect to see those comments. Some people really need to understand that not everything works the way they think it should. I might've been late to make a point, but still want to share these thoughts.

Not being able to understand why Seong A likes Gyeon Woo doesn't mean it's impossible to happen, even in real life. And not liking Gyeon Woo because he 'obviously' pushes away people around him doesn't make Bong Su any "better" than him. Atleast, despite the trauma Gyeon Woo experienced in his while damn life, he still has a kind soul that's worth falling for for Seong A. While in real life, people who experienced the same thing might even be consumed by the trauma and do worse things. Both Gyeon Woo and Bong Su surely suffered a lot, but they still have different experiences that shaped who they are.
