https://twitter.com/coconutcococo_/status/1464151558929588227?s=21 I’m ded, this is so quintessentially Ida. like the fondness and literally heart-eyes but also mischief and wanting to tease…and the fact that he’s making this face when Aoki is not looking at him ;___;
Oooooh I guess this is why I saw a post somewhere that says last episode will be on December 18 (I think from…
oh I see! if it says that in tv guide mag then I’m relieved. cos it says 最終章 on the preview which mean “final chapter” but not “final ep” so I was confused...maybe it’s like first part of the final chap or something
also am I misunderstanding from the preview that ep 9 will air on 12/11 (so skip one week) and it’s the last ep??? gdi if it’s not even 10 eps, I’m gonna hv serotonin withdrawals for real
I've been obviously enjoying all the episodes so far but I can't help but think there's something strange about…
they pointedly changed every scene in a public indoor setting outside of school (stores, restaurant, train, cafe, movie theater etc.) so it’s def the restriction
The manga is a very slow burn shoujo. The top Skinship I believe we’ll have it will be they holding hands and…
tbh if it was published in a BL mag there probably wouldn’t be any Akkun/Hashimoto at all and they would have to be reduced to mob characters, and that’s probably important to the author. I can’t recall any BL labeled work that has an official BG side couple.
cackles I really like the drama’s interpretation of “Aoki likes a lot of people”. the way Ida said in the manga feels just like a passing comment without much intention but the expressions and tone of voice in the drama is really satisfying. also Ida’s bff kinda watching over them lol
omg the sudden speed up for next ep?? they’re skipping quite a few things so now idk where we’re gonna land at the last ep
OK, this is still my favorite thing airing, but I was starting to find it tiresome Ep 6. There are a lot of funny…
unfortunately that slowness is Ida’s main character flaw in the original work. they started dating in chapter 11 and Ida only understand what the hell he’s feeling in chap 17. (and this flaw continues down the line in their relationship into issues like initiative and intimacy etc.). so if they’re intending on staying a close adaptation it WILL be dragged out.
I get the frustration though, the manga has the next 10 years to pace their relationship, this drama has 10 eps so viewers want to get to the lovey dovey part faster
this ep is just basically compilation of how cute and relatable Aoki is. honestly there are many moments in the manga where Ida is such a blockhead about love that it gets me huffing and puffing, and it’s playing out this way in the drama. but what’s a man without some flaws lol. if anything I want the drama to change, it’s to speed Ida’s progress up also really awaiting Hashimoto’s plot too. it’s just one ep and I already miss her
OK the only thing that bothered me a little in ep5 is the way they have been paired as Ida+Akkun and Aoki+Hashimoto…
yeah I totally agree. if the teams were self-selected logically Aoki would be with Akkun and Hashimoto would be with a female friend. (and although I think Ida’s volleyball friends are in a different class, he seems to have other guy friends in his class too)
it made sense in the manga bc skiing was an individual activity and Hashimoto and Aoki was separated from the other 2 due to ability. so I would prefer the forrest activity to be along the same line too and not what basically is a scavenger hunt. (except idk what what it would be though, I’m not outdoors at all lol…).
btw I only just found out but our side couple had filmed an mv together before with many lovey dovey scenes https://youtu.be/kbhTgWE1G-0
there’s really not much time to flesh things out but I want to see them become official by the end as well. sigh, why does the runtime have to be so short ;_;
ah my weekly serotonin boost! halfway through and we’re official! I love that the lighting was that dark and we can still tell Aoki’s face is on fire when Ida asked him out. this is probably where they’ll diverge more from the manga to get to the end
although I really noticed the extremely fluctuating quality the directing noticed. ppl found there are 2 directors based on the credits: one directed 1,2,5 and the other directed 3,4. it seems the first director has no idea what camera switching is. I have never seen a confession scene where only a front shot was used lol. and I thought they would slow mo the hell out of the hill roll but it’s blink-and-you-miss-it. I loved Ida protecting Aoki’s head with his head in the trailer
For me it doesn't matter if it's a bl or straight drama, once I have watched so many Japanese dramas I can say…
it’s fair to not like cliche tropes, but I have to say the part about the “average Japanese guys” is so funny. I’m pretty sure most young male actors chosen to play romantic leads aren’t gonna look like the “average guy”, and I can’t understand why that would be a detriment lol
to anyone who has read the manga tho, how's your impression so far? are there any thing that made you disappointed,…
I read the manga before the drama aired and I’m happy so far. the drama follows the manga very closely, so unless you are someone who expect an adaptation to follow every minute detail of the original source (like down to the the sets and the filming angles etc. bc I have seen complaints about that lol) then reading it should be fine.
date -> Ida’s house -> “break up” -> cold war at school -> Christmas
Aoki being teased at Ida’s house part is one of the freaking funniest scenes so I hope they include everything

there have been a lot of comparison pics but this one (and of course the hoodie) is my fave so far
