this cast is one of the most interesting dating show. cast out there. i’m amazed that ALL members are such good friends until this day, 1.5 yrs after filming, despite of all the drama and haters. the fact they literally took these vids just yesterday, and 1 final couple still rock solid, and the other couple circled back around to being endgame.

what is is about the 2nd season of dating shows that usually end up hitting absolute jackpot with casting lol

unless they filmed extra backup footage in anticipation of the ban, or calls the cast back for reshoots, I don’t know how it’s possible to rearrange this plot into a romance with Shimei. I have seen some very spoilery leaks and they are keeping Shimei’s identity the same as the novel. there is no ~love story~ between that character and anyone lol.

I feel like anything that has 2 male leads is in a tight spot regardless of whether it’s BL or not. looking at the roster for the upcoming cdramas, the only thing safe to air right now seems to be explicitly hetero romance.

maybe I’m blind or didn’t backtrack far enough, but I was expecting a fandom fight starting not just ONE negative overlapping commenter for such bold blaming lol. but I agree it is an annoying comment

I’m okay without a kiss too bc I thought the way it happened in the manga was good. I mean the real manga timeline literally took them 6 months from when they start dating to have a first kiss (winter school trip to summer vacation), and that’s just who they are as characters and I’m fine with that. but I bet it drives some viewers/readers crazy lol

it’s niche bc of the late night timeslot but it’s the most popular in the category for this season, and Ida and Aoki can rank up against the golden timeslot dramas’ characters

I actually don’t recognize majority of the scenes in the preview lol. looks like they’re going off the grid quite a bit for the ending. but with certain hints from this week, I’d be very surprised if they don’t end with a kiss

even just based on what the drama showed, they’re clearly at the beginning of their 2nd year and Aoki started liking Hashimoto in the winter, so it’s at most 6 months. I guess that’s kinda long a teenager but I wouldn’t think it’s a deep burning love or anything lol

was it really that long though? the cupcake thing with Hashimoto was valentines day and the story started in the summer (for the manga) and fall (for the drama)

ngl I was surprised when they announced wanting to adapt a shoujo manga that’s not even 30 chapters yet. I foresee Kiekoi running for at least another 5 years

oh I have seen plenty BL and GL where the main character is straight as a rod except for the “one exception”., and they announce it every time. it’s fair if you have a problem with the genre as a whole, or the gender of the author/readers etc.

I don’t know if things got lost in translation or what but Aoki did not say that. he said “ 誰でもいいじゃない” which means “I don’t like just anyone”. he did not deny that he likes guys or imply in anyway that he is straight

the association between same-sex relationships and promiscuity/prostitution made by the teacher was shown to be wrong and that’s why Aoki called him PREJUDICED. the teacher regretted making those assumptions bc he realized he’s wrong, not bc he thinks Aoki is “straight”

I hear sometimes Jdramas use that terminology for the last few eps and not the very last one.

the special ep interview also kind of revealed there is a Christmas lights scene and it doesn’t fit anywhere in ep 9’s preview.

Aoki accidentallyspilled tea on Ida’s shirt and Ida just casually took off his shirt to change clothes in front of him lol. ofc Aoki freaked out covered his eyes and Ida teased him even more

lol I didn’t want to say it…I mean the drama itself was great but his character was truly the WORST in that one

the ramen shop scene was great. the Okano plot shows that not everyone can be like Hashimoto and Akkun. Okano not a malicious character, just someone who is prejudiced and ignorant, but can change with exposure. and I like Ida wanting to protect Aoki. and Aoki standing up for himself
