no, the board had a meeting about it and stated that they have that intention to be “against” the genre, but there is no official regulation released yet.

I did. it’s really good. it’s not what you expect from the title and summary. it’s kind of a serious sci-fi and has some really deep themes about humanity and social commentary. I don’t even know if I would call it angst, it’s more existential despair lol

most big budget production xianxia dramas tend to take 1 year or longer after filming. Immortality, Mirror Twin Cities, and Pearl Eclipse are all major Tencent xianxia productions that filming wrapped in Sep/Oct 2020 and none has aired.

the only major xianxia this year Ancient Love Poetry also took 1 year from it’s wrapped date to air. you can search up filming dates and air dates for other big xianxia in recent years (Ashes of Love, Love and Redemption etc.) and will find this to be true.
