I'm sorry you weren't into it. but I have to say it's really a shame for you to avoid any romance dramas with Wu Lei as the ML! he is an excellent, and versatile actor who can play cold characters as well as warm ones in a very believable and natural way, he doesn't overact. maybe you will prefer him in a more expressive role? I recommend Nothing But You, if you want to maybe give him another chance... trust me he is like a totally different character there. as for his looks, ngl I can't be objective about them anymore lol, needless to say I find him extremely attractive 😍

the FL is amazing and ZJM portrayed her perfectly. She is so cool when she competes, and so cute when she is in love. I love everything about her except the fact that she dodges some kisses 😂 but she is very cute when she does it, so I can let it slide haha 🥰

This is the kind of show that makes you want to rethink some of the high ratings you've given to other dramas... 😅 I read some ppl found it tough to hold on until the end because they couldn't wait for the leads to get together, but being a ZZ fan at the start I actually enjoyed his arc 😆. The more I watched, the more I liked all three of the guys. Imo they are all great characters, but my dude XW is really on another level... definitely up there on my list of fav drama characters. (this is coming from someone who was not into him at the start lol)
I love love love how this drama is filmed! All those hq close up shots of eyes, lashes, the slight movements of hands, mouth, etc. really convey the (sometimes hidden) emotions of the characters in a special way. It has a bit of a dramatic flair to it, but I loved it. The OST is so good. The plot and palace politics are great. The FL is not annoying and the ML always speaks his mind. The leads bring their A game in the kiss scenes and the camera doesn't shy away from it. The chemistry is sizzling (just takes a while to get there), and the ending is satisfying. also I'm in love with ZLH help 😂
