Well said, you make really good points! After reading this, I've changed my view of her a little.
I love how Changge is portrayed, she's a really good character. It confuses me a bit when ppl say she is either too capable/invincible or just useless. Were they not paying attention when Luo Yi or A'Dou died, or when Gongsun Heng had to sacrifice himself? Even Mimi shielded her in the end. If she was so capable, all of these characters would still be alive. Also if she was so invincible she wouldn't have been hit by Ashile Sun's arrow during that stand-off.
But she isn't useless either, her actions saved many. Like when she shot the cup out of Li Shimin's hand. She also helped save Mu Jin and the others in Eagle Division with her actions in Mobei, and she saved Ashile Sun from being executed too. Like you said, the things she did initiated change in the world.
Imo she is a perfect, believable portrayal of an extraordinary, strong woman in a historical setting.
(Except maybe the part when she's shot in the shoulder and survives that crazy fall! 😂 but this is Dramaland so I can look past that lol, for the most part her character is very believable.)
For example: she is strong, but in a fight, you will never see her completely overpower the men in this drama with her physical strength. She is smart, but she doesn't outsmart everyone. There are many characters that are stronger than her and smarter than her. She makes mistakes and learns from them. She GROWS. She wrestles with her own personal feelings and her duty to Tang in a very real way, like she feels so human, not just like a drama character, you know? Reba did such a good job too.

this dude. first of all, 99% of the time he has this constant look of smug superiority on his face, it's like every single scene! the remaining 1% is reserved for that blatantly mocking smile he flashes every time Ziyu tries to exercise his nonexistent authority. 😅
and his lines... "Don't accuse others of treason just because you can't live up to the Sword Wielder position" This single sentence is enough to end a man's whole life, not to mention his career. How is Ziyu still alive after that 😂??? It's even worse than that PAUSE he took before the needlessly savage backhand(!!!) slap.

and now he has gone out of his way to point out that the elders are changing the ancestral Gong precepts for Ziyu, so they should change them for him as well. and if they don't... *CUE THE OVERLY DRAMATIC MUSIC* ...he will just LEAVE the Gong family because "In the vast martial world, there WILL be a place for Gong Shangjue." 😆!! bro just stopped short of saying he can join the Wufeng clan at any time. 👀
