short dramas have more flexibilities than longer ones - and less restrictions than the longer ones too - probably gov't restrict the longer ones from those "hot steamy kisses"... where as shorter ones can just get by without those restrictions somehow.

No kidding! They are annoying as fxxx - I want to throw them out of the country and leave the 2 main leads alone! They are already have too much on their plates -- selfish jerks!! If can't throw them out of the country - lock them in jail or put them both in the mental hospital - those two 2nd leads - grrr...

Love their steamy kisses whenever it happens between Dai & Chen!! Their chemistry too is so hot!! Love it all! Want more -- don't like waiting around everyday for just 1 episodes!! argh -- I want more now! :P

Lots of short drama couples do a lot of dramas together. If you watch the not mainstream ones - the ones found on Youtube tends to be together in many drama - the actors and actresses - Like Yu Long & Mei Mei, etc.

Hmmm -- that's why I hope that season 2 will be filmed and released soon for all of us to watch -- I honestly don't like cliffhangers and I do hope that XQA will retaliate and will not submit to him!! As for the special Second Sage sword - I hope it's not gone forever and will come to XQA's aid when he does plan to fight against him (his so-called dad - who is evil). As for the Royal Luck is still in XQA, I hope that he (XQA) will not give it to his so-called dad and that the Supervisor will step up his game to over-throw him too and break the 'forgetful spell" too so that everyone can return to the real normal state of mind - and remember XQA again.

I went through the cast list -- who plays the little sister/cousin of XQA?!? - As well I notice (not sure if the translation is correct or not) -- but the Mystic memory/forgetting spell didn't seem to affect her too much -- sounds like she kind of remember him - 'big brother' was mentioned. I could be wrong... - when the aunt served the chicken and put it into the empty bowl...

By the way, the drama was super entertaining and worth the watch! Glad I watched it after all the episodes were released -- and watched the whole drama in about 3-4 days when I am not working. Makes it easier for me, as I have been super busy in my own life lately. But definitely recommend watching it. Like everyone says - we definitely need a real season 2 soon. Not the spinoff movie - which is only about a side character (one of the bureau guy - who always have his back on us throughout the drama).

Anyways - worth it and enjoy it through and through. I'm pretty sure there will be more to XQA and his so-called "dad/sorcerer" who caused the "temporary mind forgetting" spell on everyone. I hope that they will break it and their memories return plus that Lord Wei can truly be revived again - since XQA did leave a book on how to revive ppl. I also hope that XQA will become stronger - and be able to use all the power he has to defeat his so-called 'father/sorcerer" who caused all these problems in the last few episodes of the drama itself. His so-called father is a liar too -- from the last part before the ending credits happened.... especially when he says - you can only believe in me. Such a joke/liar in the face. XQA reaction to what his so-called father said 'Dafeng was supposed to be ours." - seems like his father gain all these evil power was to revolt and take over Dafeng. Which again is not a good thing. Like the horrible 'Emperor' who is selfish and actually doesn't even truly care of his citizens of Dafeng - he was always the one reluctant to give any proper title/recognition to XQA for all that he has done for him and when he believes he is a threat - he wants him dead too -- his powers are not clean either - full of 'evilness" in it too.

Plus that XQA and Princess Lin'an will reunited and re-ignite their relationship - and as well XQA will reconnect with everyone properly again.

Probably in 2nd season his youngest sister/cousin will have grown up and the other brother of his and sister too. As for his aunt & uncle - not sure if they'd be around still or not.

Really hope to see the all the members of the Guardian of Dafeng + Bureau + Yunlu Academy + the special members of the so-called phone team too... return back to screen again in season 2 -- with the last scene after the ending credits - where he is back to the modern world - and the conversation between him (now as Yang Ling) - the person in-charge of the game/story-telling - it seems to give room - preview of a season 2 to come. Hopefully they will film it soon and release it soon too. Can't wait for the main full cast to return back to screen again.

Not related - it's not a season 2 from what I have read in here --that movie is just about the guy who always had his back turn on us.

There's a special episode that sort of wraps up the story a bit more - I would consider it a bit more open-ending to it.

Huh? Where are both Season 4 & 5 ?!? Are you joking?

I really wished there'd be an extra episode or so - showing that the 2 leads reunite after the pandemic. That would've been nice - but then again, we didn't know what the result would've been for the male lead - especially since he was the frontline doctor of the pandemic. In some ways - it was sort of a reasonable ending - but the two of them have to part ways. It was a nice gesture of the female lead/wife to have a great sendoff by flying him to the frontline with everyone - and getting that last moment together. Whether he can survive and return we don't know - but I guess we have to imagine that he did hopefully and that they really did live happily ever after if possible.

Can't wait to watch the whole thing soon! It feels like they are doing this variety show - to give the actual drama a better ending to their story!

Actually this one is considered a prequel rather than a sequel. That means this one is supposedly before the "Princess Agent" one was to happen?!?
