Wow oh wow!! This drama is one of my favorites out of many other dramas out there! Nothing too much to complain about it at all, just wishing for more to the ending! The ending of the drama was beautiful and worked out well. The 2 main leads sacrifice themselves for one another & for the greater good for the 3 realms! I'm still in awe with the graphics and design work for all the realms - both the heaven-fairy realm, the moon realm and of course the mortal realm. Each to awesomeness level of portrayl of each uniqueness of the realm themselves - to the point where it feels so real and amazing! Plus the time when Rong Hao & Chang Hang - when they met each other in the painting - 2D wise was quite cool and very surreal - to the point they both can still drink and talk, etc with one another. As well, the Arbiter place - was done uniquely for each realm & location too! All of this blew my mind and left me in awe - definitely all the scenery was totally breathtaking!
The 2 main leads life story is so cool and very special. Love actually prevailed all things in life and that's how the ended up beating the strongest evil thing in the world! It also goes to show that the 2 realms that used to fight against each other actually worked together to win over the "evil matter" in the end too!
As well as each of the side supporting characters with their story too - has their own unique background/history too + their final destiny of their life too with one another. The fate of each person in the story made this story so much more compelling and yet at the same time interwoven into the final 2 chapter/episodes of all of the story as a whole. Well done everyone! Great job!! You did well Dylan, Esther, Ling He, etc! A round of applause & hats off! These 36 episodes went by so quickly that I couldn't believe it was the end of the whole drama itself! I long for more - at least a few more episodes or even a second season for the main leads as well as those who are close to them!
It's such a remarkable story and I was surprised that I ended up liking such a story like this.
My 2-cents worth of a rating -- of course 10/10 -- 100% worth your time watching it! If you haven't watch it, I recommend that you do so!

No magical creatures, zombies, immortals...etc. the ending was an open-ending: left up to the viewer to decide if it's really a happy ending or a mere final dying man's dream of what could've been for the 2 main leads.
Like everyone said -- I feel unsatisfied with the ending. Too much has be censored out. I feel like DYQ decided to commit suicide in order to get rid of Tian Long as well as any traces of Kunlun Mountains. The final ending scene where he was with WS & his servant - and seeing a picture of He Biao & FengLing and as well as LYS & SSX in the war against the Japanese sending a letter to them saying they are well... I feel that is only a dream that DYQ had before he dies in the HQ with TL. Therefore, to me I don't think there's really much left - since they cut out so much from the original 48 episode down to only 36 episodes b/c of censorship...which is quite sad result. It could've been better and satisfying if those other episodes weren't left out/censored out. It feel incomplete story. Many unanswered questions of each person left. I cried when DYQ decided to split up with WS and send her off with her brother LYS - and that he stayed behind to deal with TL and destroy the HQ...cause I saw when he had tears falling down from his eyes and in his mind telling his dad that he couldn't protect the Heaven HQ's - it's like he knows that his end is near. There's no escape route out of that place. No magical portal or anything like that. We can only guess that what we saw in the last few minutes of the drama - was really just DYQ wishes/dream of what could've been for him & WS in the future if it wasn't for this Kunlun Mountain thingamagig and TL or the mysterious Ladyship causing problems throughout the end of the story.
Also, I think the ppl he tried to save - the Yu sect and the others all died too while fighting against the army that was sent by the mysterious Ladyship. Nobody got out alive.
The only ppl that really survived this all was WS, LYS, SSX, DYQ's servant, Ms. Cui, He Biao & FengLing. While the rest all died including DYQ...b/c I didn't see him move at all once the whole headquarters started falling apart when he set it off. But it's all a guess - cause other than the HQ falling apart the water would rise and closed off the cave - unless DYQ has super powers to escape everything & survive is another guess that anyone will have to think about. It's like the ending is sorta partial cliffhanger. Whether or not he really survive that whole ordeal is an open-ended ending. Left up to the viewers like me to guess the rest of the story b/c of the censorship and the lost of the many episodes that could've survived the censorship/not be cut off are missing. This story should've a second season to really help wrap up the final truth of what truly happened to DYQ and everyone else.
Therefore, my two-cents of review of this drama in my opinion is only a mere 7 out of 10.

Yes she is his supposedly "lost - dead sister of his". She was taken in by the Master who she for over 20+ years thinks he's a caring person but actually he's manipulating her to hate the others.
Wow, Fengling in this drama pisses me off - she is mentally messed up! She should be locked up or thrown in jail for a long, long time. She thinks that the Ladyship is someone to trust but no of course she's not. She's the one who also got involved in killing Luo Jiu Tian indirectly plus also b/c Tian Long is also partially involved in his death too. Fengling is literally a whiney loser grown up who can't handle death properly and incapable of telling the true difference b/w who is trustworthy and who is not. There are so many times where I want to kick her hard and smack her many times. She puts everyone in danger and doesn't care if she hurts her own family members who are trying to protect her. I feel like she has no brains at all! Complete garbage! She even put He Biao who likes her to close to death! Definitely a complete loser, whiner, brainless child who grew up the wrong way. Pathetic! Also over jealous of WS and DYQ's relationship and completely mentally unstable to lead a proper life b/c all she wants is "power" that's not her's to begin with and which makes her over "power" hungry in life. Everyone gave her chances to change for the better but her stubbornness and patheticness is the ugliestness of her incapabilities of doing anything properly. As well, every time someone wants to protect her & dies - she goes a blames it on someone else - not herself at all. I believe that if I was a character in the story - I would have said karma will get her back ten folds and more. As well, no one should even bother protecting her. She should get hurt and learn the hard way what death could possibly feel like. Being too over-protective of her is useless and works against all odds of putting others in danger instead of herself.
As for the others - DYQ - he has the toughest life on line plus Wu Shuang too. WS is pure blinded to the fact that her Master is not a good person at all. He's been faking all these years in front of her while behind her back - he's been killing everyone in the Penta-sect b/c he's the biggest mastermind of everything! He's the greediest one who want to take everything from K.L. Mountains. He faked his death, etc. He doesn't really care about anyone at all. He uses everyone by manipulating them to make them think he's innocent when in fact he's the cause to all the leaders death from each sect! Indespiciable person - makes me boiling mad too! I feel like both he and Fengling should die too and her Ladyship too - b/c all 3 of them a greedy people who wants the things inside K.L. Mountains! Selfish and greedy ppl are the ones that should be locked up forever in jail or to be killed off.
I'm so glad that LYS woke up from his mistakes and learns to be humble with everything - I think he's the one aside from DYQ who has a clear conscience of what is actually true meaning of life - in terms of protecting the ones the love. Having SSX supporting DYQ all the time is the best too.
No, Ye Hua and Mo Yuan are twins. Otherwise how can Mo Yuan get revived and live at the same time as Ye Hua when he revives too 3 years later after he sacrificed himself too - and return to Bai Qian? But before Bai Qian finds him in the Peach Blossom area (about 3 years later?!?) - it was Master Mo Yuan that told her that he's alive while she tries to find Ye Hua --> that he is alive.
OMG...I've just finished ep 30! All this time the 2 leads were in love with one another -- and then towards the end of ep 30 -- ML decides to change his mind & sacrifce her b/c of the upcoming war and he needs the Hell - fire back. Not only that he wants to control the so-called "evil spirit" thing which his brother says that's not a good idea. I have a feeling that Little Orchid will die and her other powerful personality will return instead. Whether that will be a good thing or not -- I dunno if the two will really end up together at this rate. So sad watching this episode. Wanna cry. Esp when Little Orchid went through so much to become the Moon Queen and to supposedly marry him too.

Well finally finished watching the drama today when I am not busy in my life. This drama was well worth it! Definitely recommend it to those who haven't watched it!
All 56 episodes definitely will put you through an emotional rollercoaster - but everyone acted well. NN & HBY got their happy ending. L.S. although he was injured -- in some ways he was accepted by NN's family - as part of family/close friend in the end - when L.S. came out of the tent wondering what all the commotion was all about. - Well technically the commotion was that NN & HBY were married (although not shown) - NN's parents approved of them both - and so did NN's rest of the family members too. Although, the Emperor was upset that they got married in Hou county without his presence - I'm sure deep down, he's glad that they did ended up together finally.
As for the rest - those who were on the wrong side of everything - karma got them good & their lives end up cut short - it's what happens when jeolousy/power/revenge etc gets the best of them in the end.
As for L.Y. - glad that he was able to accept his current wife as who she is and their child soon to be born.
Glad to know that the 3rd prince is a kind person willing to fight & remind HBY who he should be saving/protecting in his life. As well, glad that he was the one who saved him - when HBY fell down the cliff.
Lastly, we all know that what we really wanted to see was NN & HBY's marriage - but that was not shown in the end. Just only mentioned by words that they are now married and that's it.
Anyhow, it was definitely worth it and some of us want more to the drama. But let's face it. It's the ending that we all wanted - a happy one and it is one happy ending.

OK, I'm not saying that he's doing it the wrong way - but NN also wants to investigate the situation too, but he's stopping her from doing so.... Then again, I guess he's doing that b/c he doesn't want to be seen as some tampering with possible evidence I guess by NN.
Either way - it is a very conflicting situation that the Emperor is in. It's true like you said - that he doesn't want to be seen as someone giving favoritism & pardon her family from the possible "wrongs' her father could've done (but this is where the hunt for evidence is important)....as there are many ppl involve in this mess.
Like it or not -- in my opinion - I'm just saying that "poor NN" is constantly facing a lot of "suffering" in her life and I just wished that she can live a more "peaceful life instead of all of this palace mess".
As well...the endless revenge/hate in this drama is quite painful to watch at times. I mean -- revenge doesn't completely resolve the problems. It just brings more and more sadness/pain/anger etc in a constant loop. If I remember correctly NN never want to be involved in such a mess of "revenge" -- but if she gets pulled in by it - she will do anything to find ways to protect the ones she loves including herself too.
Hmm...just finished watching the latest episode of this drama - ep 18. DFQC finally learns the full truth of why his dad in the past did what he did to him. Eventually, DFQC accepted this ill-fate and decides to do what he wants to do. That is accept all the pain & suffering of an actual person supposed to have. He also learned to forgive his bro for his wrongdoings & accept the rest of the "lightning strike punishment" when his bro couldn't handle it anymore. He is also learning how to be a better person. Whether this would be a good thing or not -- we'll wait and see.
TBH, I hope he really changes for the better and continues to learn more from XLH. Also, I hope that the 2 will be able to be together and that XLH will not betray him either too. Otherwise this story will be another historical sad ending drama which I don't like.

Back down the mountain - LYS - is becoming more "sane" in making the correct decisions from his family. Fengling is really messed up and I seriously want to smack her some senses! She's the one always causing problems and when one of her favorite servants died b/c of her stupid actions - she goes and blames it on other ppl. What kind of stupidity logic is that? Anyhow she's still bent on revenge and not completely let go. If it weren't for her older brother LYS -- I think she would have gotten herself killed many times. Very pathetic girl.
LJT - ok so, he's back from the "dead" - hahaha...great -- and he's the supervisor of the 2 of them --> LYS and FengL? Errr...that's just weird. Then him still wanna pursue WS and marry her -- err um...you're useless and besides WS loves DYQ and nobody else. Good that you did ended up letting her go.
I still don't trust Master Zhou. I feel like he's Tian Long - or related to him. Cause one of his so-called disciple tries to kill FengLing as a warning to LYS. Plus him locking up Master Lao in the mountains for 20 yrs?!? What's he doing that for -- he said something about trying to "get something from her' by using DYQ - cause he said that when he put DYQ underground trap area - it was in a way to test him - make a certain decision and then also locked him up in the mountain too for his own purpose of using DYQ to get something from Master Lao. I feel that Master Zhou is not who he say he is all these times. Cause when DYQ confronts him about how the Penta-sect got the blueprints of the Kunlun Mountains - he was surprised by Master Lao's answer. Therefore, I can't trust him still.
As for those working Under LJT - I don't trust those ppl either - I think it has to do with her Ladyship - whoever she is or with Commander Hu -- either way -- they are working behind the backs of LJT and trying to do something bad.
Next issue - can both DYQ and WS leave the place in the mountain safely (escape) or not. My guess is "yes" b/c he has been measuring the distance from the ground to where he is locked up on the mountain-side by dropping rocks - to figure out the "speed of velocity and gravity", etc.
As for Ms. Cui - where she is -- at the moment is unknown. Hopefully, she'll be back in action soon.

I really feel so sad for NiaoNiao in the recent episode I watched - ep 42. LBY went out to trackdown the Peng dude -- in his absence - her whole family gets framed as being a defactor -- and gone to be part of the enemy side of things. Obviously for NN, she doesn't believe it at all -- and wants to find her dad and proof that her dad never did that at all. But obviously the Emperor now is stubborn - partially want to protect her b/c she's LBY fiance yet it still implicates her that the rest of her family is stuck in jail - interrogated like criminals. So sad -- I was crying while watching this episode -- the CP and the Empress stepped up to support NN to gain access to the Emperor to have a talk with him. But when they both were discussing the matter of her family's issue --- the Emperor is very stubborn in not letting her get involved in resolving the problem.
I don't know what will happen in the future b/w her and LBY -- or even her family. I just hope that her family will be able to survive this ordeal and not be killed off. NN suffered so much and continues to suffer even more now esp when LBY is away - and after reading other comments -- ppl are saying LBY will kill himself?!? What in the world? Wow, seems like this whole drama is an endless heartbreak/suffering for NN the most. I do hope this story will end well. I really hate "sad endings".
Well, well, well -- so for ep 37 & 38 - read at your own discretion
The Emperor/Empress - all seems to realize the truth about things when 5th Princess came running in to go and tried blame NN for her traps that she set up on them. In the process of trying frame/blame NN by 5th Princess for her wrongs - things let slip through her mouth about what had actually happened to NN in the past - and also what she actually did during the Empress' bday celebration. To try to make matters worst for NN -- it actually backfired on her by a lot. As she was trying to get away with "setting NN with the 5th Prince" - First person coming in with power was actually Consort Yue - helping NN to clear up the mess that was actually caused by the 5th Princess! Haha, her grand entrance & the slap on her face was so "cool" and composed... later on when the Emperor ask for more proof that NN did indeed try to due something wrong with the 5th Prince -- then LBY came walking in with the servant whom he just grilled for the full truth -- trying to get her to tell the truth to the Emperor/Empress/Consort Yue and everyone present. In the process of this all 5th prince spill out the truth of what he witness - back when NN was shoved into the water the 5th princess' servant/friends and then also where they threw in "two snakes" to go bite her. Of course in the back of LBY's mind he was super furious of what happened to his fiance NN and what she actually suffered plus didn't tell him about it at all. But then again, NN still felt a bit insecure about her feelings towards LBY - still reserved about it. yet in honest truth she knows she loves him.
LBY revenge towards those 8 girls families involved in pushing NN into the water - was not all just about that. He also punished them b/c they were the ones "took all the money" from the emperor's storage bank/from other innocent ppl too. He said so him during one of the family's punishment period at one of the gates palace/family's home (I think). Where he had 5th prince witness it as well as his side kicks-aides and Minister of Justice - Yuan Shen.
LBY - receiving the punishment - was not just to push NN to confront her love to LBY but also to lower down the guards of those he want to dig info up at the Censorate by stealing the scrolls from them. Although I still don't think it was a good idea for the Emperor to set that up with LBY -- to make NN confess her true feelings towards him (LBY), I feel that the 2 really should just sitdown and talk it over properly instead of lying to her and making her confess feelings - esp with such a difficult past background of hers and his too.
Anyways, that's my 2-cents worth of the drama thus far with these 2 recent episodes being aired.
Ok going to say it once and leave it at that. Some ppl's voices can never change - even if they grow older. So, accept this fact and stop complaining about the FL's own original voice. Another matter- who are you to judge who is good looking or not as a female??? Excuse me, that very feminist and really insulting to all females in the world. Everyone person has their own beauties and deserves respect always. Respect others just as you want others to respect you. Quick to judge -- that's the worst way ever. This is where there's such thing as being a racist, stereotyping everyone the way you want them to be! Did you know what you say can hurt a person's feeling?!? Every time I hear someone complain about anyone (actors/actresses/artists) etc -- that's call cyberbullying! This is where all those hate - eventually will lead to these famous people to commit suicide at a young age. No one in this world deserves to learn about something that someone said - just b/c it doesn't fit their criterias or expectations!
As a viewer - you should only focus on their acting skills, their compatibilty with one another to make the story flow well and come to life (from novel to real life drama). If you judge a drama just b/c of the actor's/actress' voice, looks, etc. Then sorry, you should not bother leaving a comment about it -- that's consider inappropriate, hurtful and disrespectful to the actresses/actors/artists themselves. Have you taken any acting or singing jobs? Can you really do a better job than them? If not, then don't say you know everything about how much effort/time these actors/actresses put in to it or they shouldn't be in this drama - b/c their voice sounds so babyish or kidish or whatnot. If these are the points you don't like about them - then move on from this drama - don't watch it! Leave it to those who will appreciate how much time, effort, energy they put into this whole drama - to bring the story to life! Everyone deserves respect/praises/appreciation not the opposite of these points at all.
To wrap it up - the latest 2 episodes I watched - ep 9 & 10 were awesome and sweet. Then ending of ep 10 -- now that's a major plot twist - did she do that on purpose? or did she realize that she loves him? or did she do that - in order to trick him and later betray him for it?!? Tbh, I hope it's not the latter part of my guesses. I truly hope that they will really fall in love with one another - and not use the "name of love" to get away from things through trickery...guess we'll have to wait and see. Next issue - can both DYQ and WS leave the place in the mountain safely (escape) or not. My guess is "yes" b/c he has been measuring the distance from the ground to where he is locked up on the mountain-side by dropping rocks - to figure out the "speed of velocity and gravity", etc.
As for Ms. Cui - where she is -- at the moment is unknown. Hopefully, she'll be back in action soon.
Anyways, that's my 2-cents worth on today's episodes thus far.
I don't know what will happen in the future b/w her and LBY -- or even her family. I just hope that her family will be able to survive this ordeal and not be killed off. NN suffered so much and continues to suffer even more now esp when LBY is away - and after reading other comments -- ppl are saying LBY will kill himself?!? What in the world? Wow, seems like this whole drama is an endless heartbreak/suffering for NN the most. I do hope this story will end well. I really hate "sad endings".
The Emperor/Empress - all seems to realize the truth about things when 5th Princess came running in to go and tried blame NN for her traps that she set up on them. In the process of trying frame/blame NN by 5th Princess for her wrongs - things let slip through her mouth about what had actually happened to NN in the past - and also what she actually did during the Empress' bday celebration. To try to make matters worst for NN -- it actually backfired on her by a lot. As she was trying to get away with "setting NN with the 5th Prince" - First person coming in with power was actually Consort Yue - helping NN to clear up the mess that was actually caused by the 5th Princess! Haha, her grand entrance & the slap on her face was so "cool" and composed... later on when the Emperor ask for more proof that NN did indeed try to due something wrong with the 5th Prince -- then LBY came walking in with the servant whom he just grilled for the full truth -- trying to get her to tell the truth to the Emperor/Empress/Consort Yue and everyone present. In the process of this all 5th prince spill out the truth of what he witness - back when NN was shoved into the water the 5th princess' servant/friends and then also where they threw in "two snakes" to go bite her. Of course in the back of LBY's mind he was super furious of what happened to his fiance NN and what she actually suffered plus didn't tell him about it at all. But then again, NN still felt a bit insecure about her feelings towards LBY - still reserved about it. yet in honest truth she knows she loves him.
LBY revenge towards those 8 girls families involved in pushing NN into the water - was not all just about that. He also punished them b/c they were the ones "took all the money" from the emperor's storage bank/from other innocent ppl too. He said so him during one of the family's punishment period at one of the gates palace/family's home (I think). Where he had 5th prince witness it as well as his side kicks-aides and Minister of Justice - Yuan Shen.
LBY - receiving the punishment - was not just to push NN to confront her love to LBY but also to lower down the guards of those he want to dig info up at the Censorate by stealing the scrolls from them. Although I still don't think it was a good idea for the Emperor to set that up with LBY -- to make NN confess her true feelings towards him (LBY), I feel that the 2 really should just sitdown and talk it over properly instead of lying to her and making her confess feelings - esp with such a difficult past background of hers and his too.
Anyways, that's my 2-cents worth of the drama thus far with these 2 recent episodes being aired.
Ok going to say it once and leave it at that. Some ppl's voices can never change - even if they grow older. So, accept this fact and stop complaining about the FL's own original voice. Another matter- who are you to judge who is good looking or not as a female??? Excuse me, that very feminist and really insulting to all females in the world. Everyone person has their own beauties and deserves respect always. Respect others just as you want others to respect you. Quick to judge -- that's the worst way ever. This is where there's such thing as being a racist, stereotyping everyone the way you want them to be! Did you know what you say can hurt a person's feeling?!? Every time I hear someone complain about anyone (actors/actresses/artists) etc -- that's call cyberbullying! This is where all those hate - eventually will lead to these famous people to commit suicide at a young age. No one in this world deserves to learn about something that someone said - just b/c it doesn't fit their criterias or expectations!
As a viewer - you should only focus on their acting skills, their compatibilty with one another to make the story flow well and come to life (from novel to real life drama). If you judge a drama just b/c of the actor's/actress' voice, looks, etc. Then sorry, you should not bother leaving a comment about it -- that's consider inappropriate, hurtful and disrespectful to the actresses/actors/artists themselves. Have you taken any acting or singing jobs? Can you really do a better job than them? If not, then don't say you know everything about how much effort/time these actors/actresses put in to it or they shouldn't be in this drama - b/c their voice sounds so babyish or kidish or whatnot. If these are the points you don't like about them - then move on from this drama - don't watch it! Leave it to those who will appreciate how much time, effort, energy they put into this whole drama - to bring the story to life! Everyone deserves respect/praises/appreciation not the opposite of these points at all.
To wrap it up - the latest 2 episodes I watched - ep 9 & 10 were awesome and sweet. Then ending of ep 10 -- now that's a major plot twist - did she do that on purpose? or did she realize that she loves him? or did she do that - in order to trick him and later betray him for it?!? Tbh, I hope it's not the latter part of my guesses. I truly hope that they will really fall in love with one another - and not use the "name of love" to get away from things through trickery...guess we'll have to wait and see. Excited for the next episodes to come -- long wait for it though.
