sad...the ending was totally a cliffhanger - incomplete drama again... similar to the full length drama that i've watch in the past "Princess Agents" was a cliffhanger too. a bit disappointing b/c of this fact. sigh... also the eng subs are poorly done too.

I agree with you too. Her flat-mate is more suitable for her. He's been there for her all these times. As for the main ML - he keeps on letting her go on so many occasions with no promises during those times that he will eventually return to her. I find it quite ridiculous that he's making her feel more guilty of their relationship - when in fact, he's the one who hot potato dropped her out of the relationship (during his darkest times). Plus, left her in the dark as to what exactly happened to him. If it weren't for others telling her about it, she eventually wouldn't have known about it and then for him to go a roundabout to have her understand him in the later actions - just doesn't cut it for me. I totally side with the FL esp in terms of him letting her go (break up with her) when she thought her relationship with him wouldn't fall apart again -- b/c originally he promised her that he wouldn't let go no matter what again - but in the end result during his toughest/darkest times, he did. I would never trust a guy again like that if it were to happen in real life - we are supposed to be there for one another - through thick & thin, etc. But that wasn't the case at all b/w the 2 of them. I just feel like the last 4 episodes they'll try to savage their relationship. As the FL is currently in no mood to get back together with him again - she stated if he keeps on pestering her, she will leave. Only way that she thinks is OK b/w the 2 of them is to only just be friends. No more, no less. She's tired of his lack of communication with her/trust/respect too. I too would feel the same if a guy does that to me -- it's like a pure stalker who wouldn't leave you alone - when you already told the other party - that you are over with them to begin with - when the main ML said - lets breakup.

My 2-cents worth on this drama thus far -- as the title states "Almost Lover" ... it does signifies that the 2 main leads relationship will not get to the stage of a "lover" again. I dunno if that will hold true to the end or not. But, i'll put my take on this. The main ML - did not tell things to the main FL in his most darkest times - did not help their relationship. Again, as he was the one in the end who said to end their relationship during that time - the main FL agree to it. After hard thoughts, even if all his mess is clear - she's no longer in the same spot as he was when he gave up on her at that particular time. She's tired of being tossed around by him - his lack of communication etc. Like she said time and time again - he dropped her out of his life when he thinks the other things in his life is more important than her and she stated it clearly - she doesn't want to be treated that way anymore. Even if he says he will not do that again. In the past when he came looking for her in Wusu, he promised her at that point - he will not let go...but when things go ugly in his family side of things - he let her go again. So, what does that signify to a girl -- like that...being mistreated and not giving her the full explanation is plain ridiculous - if this was in real life - I will never go back to a guy like that - that continues to give false hope of "not letting go ever", not communicating with me the problems they faced in their own lives either. Communication is key in any real relationship and both of them don't have it -- especially the main ML. To me, the two should just remain friends and that's it. But if it was me, I will never remain friends with someone who is so untrustworthy and unreliable.

Anyways this is my opinion - don't bash me for it.

I don't think he's a con artist at all. In episode 10 where I've watched up to...it shows that he was working in some big foreign investment company and that he had a lot of control as to what to do to save the company when it was in trouble. But I think he lost his job eventually and stay at home with his family - is b/c his previous superiors or boss - is jealous of him and made him fall hard. Cause in that scene - when he (the ML) -- was calling the shots to "take all out"cause a certain company was actually doing poorly/was fake - the guy standing at the doorway of a room seems to be smirking at him - to see him fail (cause I think that guy cause him to lose his job at that time)?! -- that's my interpretation of what the main ML used to do in the past.

My 2-cent worth of opinion of the story thus far (watched up to ep 18)...please don't be critical of me. Just how I feel after watching most of the episodes out so far.

Omg!! Seriously that Chen Fei Er should get lost and leave the 2 main leads alone. I really got a feeling that the 2 leads will break up because of many misunderstandings between the 2 of them - probably cause by Chen Fei Er too... so mad at the main ML - he should just let go of everything in Hu Pu and be with the main FL in the other city instead...but then it's gonna be hard for him to do so because of his father's condition/situation of his health which could possibly lead to more trouble down the road. I hope that the main ML will tell the truth to the main FL about everything that's going on in his life (like come clean with it all) and help her rebuild her confidence in their relationship...otherwise I don't know how long their relationship will last. Plus I hope main FL will become stronger and not let the main ML's absence affect her daily life when he's not there for her too.

Also, I am beginning to not like the main lead's brother either. He has lack of confidence too and sooner/later will turn against him (the main ML) too possibly. But I do hope that will not happen either.

Watched up to episode 12 & i am so mad at the ML's father and older brother. They are pathetic and manipulative - the father has no heart to even truly care how his younger son is doing - rather he is constantly blaming him for the incident/injury to his older brother's leg in the past - due to a swimming incident. His father is really stupid/pathetic and mess up! Seriously get lost! He doesn't deserve to be his father at all. Selfish wrench!! Jerk! The main ML life is mostly ruined b/c of him. He gets stuck living in the hotel. Nobody to care for him properly. His mom died young and whatnot. His father constantly blaming him and mistreating him so much. I feel like the main ML is suffering from a lack of proper love - and in a way I think that's why he returned back to the main FL b/c he can sense/remember that she was the one he was supposely be happy with. As for the SFL - she's a fxxxx manipulative person too. She's about to get marry to someone else - but still drag the main ML around in front of the main FL. Seriously, she's fxxx up. Get lost and leave the 2 alone! I think that's why both main leads want to stay in the other city instead of Hupu.

I really hope that the 2 main leads leave the city of Hupu immediately together and just leave all those ugly manipulative ppl behind...so that they can live a happier life once more together.

Cute and fluffy - yes it may be hard to watch -- esp the FL - but tbh it's for fun and they did categorize it as a comedy / romance story. I like all the other guys too. It feels like an F4 (Boys Over Flower) story but grown up version of it or a bit similar to the Kdrama - "Cinderella & the 4 Knights". You need to watch both season in order to complete the drama itself. But I feel it needs either one more season - to complete the story properly or another episode. I feel that it was quite rushed in the end.

Having watched both Season 1 & 2 - I actually enjoyed both. It was funny at times, light-hearted and serious when need to be. I'm so glad the ending of Season 2 ended well too. Love the fact the 2 couples had kids and were able to celebrate New Years together too. Though I wished they shown Xiaobu and Feng Lie's marriage too...plus Ms. Chai's relationship and possible relationship for Shiyi --- as well as Mr. Han too. Well, wishful thinking like how Xiaoqi mentioned at the end - we all want another season - season 3! They deserve it!! Since Xiaoqi mentioned it in the drama herself!! Let's wait & see if they director/storywriter will fulfill that wish of Xiaoqi's or not.

But somehow that story (of season 1) has merged into 1. Let's put it this way, Xiaoqi did say she remembers everything from way before - in the past before she was taken back to her home planet - Cape Town. Also, they did mentioned that they married twice, broke up twice (separated twice), etc. So, in that sense - it does seems to "still considered" existed b/c of how they talked about that past before too. (That's my 2-cents of understanding of what they said to each other at one point in the drama too).

Well, truth to be told, I really enjoyed this drama - it's light-hearted at the same time as being serious a bit at times. Both main leads did well - so did the 2nd leads plus all the rest of the cast members in the story. Well done everyone! Yes the ending had a twist - but that's fine...got me a bit confused at a moment...then again I remember - right at the beginning it sort of mention that this was all but a story/fantasty at the same time plus real life too. Anyhow, I do recommend you to watch it if you haven't already done so. Watch it from beginning to end - do not judge a drama by it's beginning only - just like when you pick a book to read - do not judge the book by its cover - you have to read through the whole book to know if it's good or not. - anyways, I leave it like that. enjoy

Short, but sweet. They try to have some kiss scenes in it - but as always - b/c of the kid around - it's hard to do. :P Tbh, I didn't like the second lead at all. So annoying. As well as the main ML's father is a horrible man! selfish and try to break the 2 of them apart! Argh - literally skip those scenes just to only see the 2 of them together or with the kid too. happy ending for sure...though wished it was longer.

Actual I am surprised that I really enjoyed this drama. It shows what life could be during college years in the art school - what one can be struggling with in their lives - whether it be a family that doesn't support their child to one who had been abandon & has to get through a difficult & dark part of their lives - overcoming PTSD. I really found this drama quite special and unique. Reminding us constantly to not forget why we first pursue the career/dream that we wanted to pursue in life. Despite all the criticism & lemons thrown at us constantly and how to overcome them all with the support of our friends/classmates, etc. Some may find it cliche - but to be honest - I found this drama unique, fun yet at the same time some seriousness in it. Everyone did well and well done guys! I also love the OST in the drama - it was a perfect match too! Watch it at your own discretion and decide for yourself if you like it or not.

Yeah, I tried watching another ongoing drama - "A Romance of the Little Forest" which also stars Esther in it as the main lead -- but I find the chemistry between the 2 isn't enough -- cause it seems like their screen time is less compared to the 2nd couples -- her best friend & her boss (who is faking his injury - wheelchair bound - to go after her best friend) is really ridiculous seriously. I just can't seem to enjoy it as much as LBFAD - which definitely has a lot of fun chemistry in it all the way through & through including some seriousness in it too, Hence why I can go back again and again to watch it -- just like -- the other ones that I love the most (which I have already in my original post here).

Yes -- Maid's Revenge was a good drama too. Too bad it was short - but well done nonetheless.
