The stuff with the manager and the women was handled well because it showed how hard it can be for a victim to come forward about SA, especially from someone in a position of power, and how even if you are brave enough it can be dismissed. The president sucked so much, to just let that continue. But again, it was good how both Ren and Kazuma responded and reacted in that situation. (Kanada threatening to assault Ren while drunk was an unnecessary scene)
Didn't love how Ren's friend goaded Kazuma by saying really shitty things. But I appreciate that Kazuma said he's lying, not because he didn't want to believe it but because he chose to trust Ren. There was a lot of good in this show. Do I think it's a masterpiece? No.

This is way less of a trauma dump imo tho 😭 in Bed Friend the mc has a wildly abusive mother and is repeatedly a victim of SA from his own step father and others and we're witness to a lot of it. In this show Ren's trauma stems from his fear and him lying to protect Kazuma and the punishment from the parents for that lie. The threat of SA from the manager at the end was unnecessary, but nowhere near what Bed Friend showed.

I watched it way out of order, but I'll try to summarize my thoughts. 1) I watched ABAAB first bc it's not my favorite of the shows (still like it, but not as much) and it was good. Not the most memorable but maybe that's just bc I watched it longer ago 😂 2) I think second was Star In My Mind but I paused it to watch MSP bc I couldn't wait, and gosh the MSP episode is SO much fun. It's such a fun concept! I love how they went about the AU in such an interesting way. Would I have liked to see more of the regular characters? Yes, but this was lots of fun and I got more TiwsonPor so I can't complain too much. 3) I think I watched Bad Buddy/ATOTS third and,,, okay this was an interesting choice to combine the two shows and I ultimately liked how everything ended up but I didn't love how Tian and Phupha were fighting so much. It was kind of upsetting, but that finale was SO healing and wonderful. It made up for how ATOTS left things pretty open and left me unsatisfied. It was definitely the best use of a sequel since it just ended up being a continuation. For the Bad Buddy portion, it was cute and I love OhmNanon's dynamic so much, they're great together. I'm ngl tho I do forget a bit of it lol 4) I continued Star In My Mind. This one is interesting, bc I wouldn't consider it my favorite of the shows but then I see Daonuea and Kluen and I'm immediately in tears crying shaking passing out. No, but I always forget how much I love those two and then I see them and lose my mind because they're so adorable. As far as storylines go, I'm gonna be real with you this was one of my favorites because it was just SO no-nonsense. There was no conflict between Kluen and Daonuea whatsoever and was just wholesome moments. Having them prank their friends that they're fighting is SUCH a genius way to have conflict for plot without actually having conflict. And again, this was just so wholesome it made me cry. 5) I started Vice Versa but needed to watch NLMG bc I needed to see my boys. NLMG is my second favorite of all of these shows, I love it with every fibre of my being. The concept here was a little sad at first and the angst had me stressed BUT, honestly they really made everything resolve so so well. Having the knowledge that they're gonna be together even while Neung continues his studies made me SO happy. Also Palm looked so damn good (in the modern portions especially). And even the side story with the jeweler was so cute. I loved this one and I'll die on the hill of being the #1 NLMG, PalmNeung, and PondPhuwin stan. 6) Vice Versa. Okay, this one. Once again, the beginning but had some angst and made me sad but honestly I think this one felt the most in tune with the original series. Idk, but seeing Peung and Talay as fathers made me ridiculously emotional. And their little dates/special days in the beginning was beyond cute. And! I love that they fully had it be two papas, and never had any heteronormativity with that 😭 just two dads. In my heart they go on to have a child of their own and are the best dad's ever bc we saw proof that they would be. Jimmy and Sea are wonderful, they did such a lovely job and they look beautiful. I loved this, it was so warm and sweet and really reminded me of how special Vice Versa is to me. 7) The Eclipse. Okay, so The Eclipse is my #1 show. I love it so damn much. Maybe that's why these episodes weren't my favorite, bc I had high expectations? I loved it and First and Khaotung did an amazing job and I'll always be ecstatic to see Akk and Ayan but idk... The angst felt like we'd taken steps back in their relationship, I hated the stuff with Teacher Sani and that weird relationship, and it just felt a little bit disconnected/jumbled. Also, idk why Neo and Louis seemed more awkward here? Idk, just anytime Khan and Thua had an intimate interaction it felt a little stiff? But I wasn't too worried there. I felt like the conflict was glossed over and drawn out at the same time. In the beginning it seemed like Ayan just wanted Akk to actually use his words and express how he was feeling so he acted like he didn't know. I can understand that, just wanting Akk to really communicate fully instead of hinting. But it felt they kinda didn't go with that and idk how they resolved the conflict. I know these two have better communication than what we saw here so it was just a bit of a bummer that such a healthy relationship from the og series was having these issues. BUT, putting that aside they're still so damn cute 😭😭 and the scene by the river and the ending scene absolutely crushed me, those two have the best chemistry. First and Khaotung are both fantastic actors, and First especially gets me with how good he is at emotions (when he smiles and when he cries I get absolutely crushed, he's so good). Khao too, they're both fantastic with being expressive. And seriously that last scene 😳
Overall, this is a seriously solid show and it just made me really happy. I'll definitely be rewatching a lot of these, especially the Vice Versa and SIMM episodes bc those were the most feel-good. Srsly, Daonuea and Kluen are literally the most precious mfers I love how obsessed they are with each other cause I totally get it.
