And now I'm thinking about how he refers to her, and I don't think he ever actually calls her name while talking to her. 🤔 The only obvious time was "Xiao Xi" when he was treating her like a maid, lol

I like to think/hope that it's intentional breadcrumbs to keep us guessing and see if we pick up on the clues, which would be great as opposed to other dramas that belittle the audience's intelligence and spoon feeds everything. (please don't let me be overestimating the writers here, LOL)

Haha, it does! It caught me off guard at first, but I couldn't come up with anything better. Her nickname for him is like this half sarcastic, half endearing moniker, so the direct translation "Black Fox" would've came off far too formal and wouldn't convey how at ease they are with each other.

I agree. And good on him not forgetting his promise to make her dinner! And I loved the dinner scene and their talk afterwards. She knows why he didn't tell her before and doesn't hold it against him. They clearly understand and accept each other without needing to make a big fuss out of things. I'm getting the impression that HFX already knows BFX's real identity. Given how quick he was at clarifying the name of his maid on the boat to prevent her misunderstanding, it would be a bit inconsistent for him to talk to her about another woman, unless he already knows it's her and he's just teasing her/trying to see her reaction. Plus, with his information gathering capabilities, it wouldn't be impossible for him to find out.

Clearly ML built the country's most extensive intelligence network just to keep tabs on his crush. 🤣
