Yeah, I don't bother thinking about the trailers anymore. They keeping showing one-liners that sound so dramatic and ends up being resolved in like 1 scene since the leads actually communicate with and has faith in each other.

I sure hope you're being sarcastic because she is the furthest from being amazing. Being manipulative, sleazy and opportunistic may get short term gains but is terribly short-sighted. As soon as people figure out the truth, you'll bleed talent left and right. Li Dai has already figured it out and hopefully Qin Shi will as well.
Given how Chinese dramas usually play out, my money is on her getting some karmic justice served to her before the show ends.

I will add to this that although it's translated as "want or not", when you use this structure in American English, it often comes with a tone of annoyance. The Chinese version does not have this and is very neutral.

I don't see it. In fact, I think his social skills and empathy are top notch. He just seems like a normal introvert who likes to live in a clean place. God of Wealth is actually a pretty good symbolism of him. Whatever happened at his old job caused him to retreat into a shell and doesn't want to waste time dealing with people. Qin Shi is slowly getting him to come out.

Well, without spoiling specifics, I'll just say that Li Dai's core values are honesty and fairness.

Yeah, I feel like the entire point of the FL's second brother and his wife is to show how great the leads' relationship is. But why? We can plainly see how their relationship is built on mutual respect, trust, and caring. #relationshipgoals

The scene with the turtles was hilarious. But the cherry on top was how Qin Shi immediately figured out what he was doing with the turtles. 🤣

And Li Dai and Yang Hua working together behind the scenes in order to help Qin Shi is just so heartwarming.

I didn't take her line at face value, but rather as indirectly asking "we agree to pretend nothing happened last night, right?" and her surprised expression was to him disagreeing.

Ah, I see. Yeah, it's her last bit about performance that convinced me she was talking about how good it was. And she also basically said that if another opportunity presents itself, she'd be willing to sleep with him again, lol. 🤣

Right before YH's confession.

YH: "what happened last night was very important to me. I don't know what it means to you, but as a man, I have to say how I feel."
QS: "um, it's fine. we were both pretty tired and drunk. If there's another opportunity in the future, we'll perform better."

My biggest problem with him is his tendency to get aggressively physical with her. His actions are basically straddling the line of domestic violence and that does not sit well with me.

Because of the unfortunate timeline in Qin Shi's lie, namely that she has a 2.5 year old child when she only broke up with TJH two years ago. So basically, this is the assistant wanting revenge on QS for hurting TJH because she believes that QS cheated on him while they were still together.

Just finished EP19. I can't believe I'm rooting for Li Dai. I expected show to keep it simple and play her as the comedic relief villain. I'm all for this turn of events though.

I have no issue with the culture. I don't even disagree with that conclusion that on the surface, YH doesn't seem to be a qualified man for marriage. It's her mom's reasoning and logic that her daughter is her property that makes her an awful person in my eyes.
