Excited for this season if it follows the book should be about their stay in the modern era. Not sure if they are concluding with this season or will follow up with more seasons, the book is super long and the mains hop to over 6 different 'worlds'.

Song Wei Long looks so fine with long hair and historical cloth O_O! My mind is boggled, he looks like two completely different people with long and short hair. His whole aura is elevated with this current setup wow I don't know what to say other than excellent choice for Rong Zhi he fulfills 90% of all the checkboxes. He is the only reason I'm watching this drama but not for much longer I think. I was never a big fan of the novel and this drama adaptation seems worse than the novel in many ways.

Crystal's acting increased by many levels since I last saw something of hers, she is so much more natural now with her expression and not always making faces at the camera. I consider her a very legit Bai Qian equal level to the drama. Yang Yang gets negative marks however, every sentence coming out of Yang Yang's mouth sounds so fake I can't even tell if they just dubbed his voice that awful or it's his acting and no amount of dubbing can help. Although his facial expression is equally as bad as his voice, most of the time he is making face at the camera to look more handsome.

I watched both the drama and movie and both are good in their own ways. The movie overall is more beautiful from customs to fight scenes to the scenery and actors (Can't deny Yang Yang and Crystal's face). The story the movie tells is rushed and seems to focus on showing the emotional parts so the overall result might be confusion or tears I guess it could depend on who is watching. I give this movie 7.5/10.

Out of the three main characters, two have happy ending one has sad ending.

Wew this drama is really good as a stand alone and also as advertisement for the web novel. I started reading the novel when episode 12 aired because I couldn't wait to find out what happens next and let me say the novel is 1000x worth reading. The drama did a really good with casting and keeping most of the important romantic checkpoints from the novel but also added more conflict, shortened the plot and sped up the story by alot. Overall I really enjoyed this drama and I recommend everyone to read the novel if you can read/understand chinese. Use google translate's audio feature if you only understand chinese but can't read. Hehe.

I tried to like this drama, it started off alright with some interesting headlights like Xing'er training to be a spy and her past(lost memories) but the way this drama progressed completely ignored those subplots and just became another drama where the main girl has two men liking her and etc etc until one guy wins the girl. By episode 46 I just completely give up on this drama, everything is predictable and cliche.

My bad it's 4 episodes a week, 2 each on Monday and Tuesday >.<. I thought it was 8 because mdl's aired timeline is Jul 10, 2017 to Jul 25, 2017 which means it should end next week. But I checked the Chinese release dates and it's only 4 episodes a week so there's no way this drama ends next week.

The chemistry between the main pair is off the chart. I have a hard time believing Xing Zhao Lin is only 19. They have the ideal couple height it's perfect. Liang Jie's acting for the split personality is super good as well, I have no trouble telling the two personality apart just from her facial expression.

It's 8 episodes a week! Monday and Tuesday 4 episodes each, today the raw has up to episode 12 so going by this pace this drama should end by next Tuesday.

I like the casting for this movie version. Yangyang and Liu Yufei fit my image of their role as described from the novel better than the drama version at least. I had a hard time getting used to Mark Chao as Yehua.

He has to look into eyes to read their every thought but he can feel strong thoughts if they directed at him. His brain is like a scanner if he doesn't look into people's eyes his brain will scan his surrounding for thoughts to pickup. If he is targeting someone he gets 10x output. LOL (just my personal opinion of how his mind reading works)

Am I the only one who thinks the ending (where she lose her memory and they live happily ever after) defeats the purpose of her dying and cursing Bai Zhihua to eternal live without pain, injury or death? I mean there goes the impact of death. You died? I'll just resurrect you and take away all your painful memories and let you live in forbidden sin with your teacher anyways. Oh and all those people who died for you, you know those people... yea just forget about them and enjoy the rest of your life with your teacher. *sarcasm*

I'm not feeling Yang Yang for Yie Xiu but I'll keep an open mind for now.

I'm so confused with the plot of this drama. Like what is with the two evil dudes and the purple crystal and evil overlord? The romance was advancing so well but the side tracking of the (useless) story is interfering so much with my enjoyment of this drama.

Really enjoying this drama. The female lead's modern personality is funny and she has excellent chemistry with the male lead! I also like the relative fast pacing of this show compared to other C-dramas, in just 4 episodes plenty has happened whereas other dramas would still be on the prologue.

Still not completely satisfied, I guess I won't be unless all 5 girls are hitched and married while I'll be sniffling in the background. Wonder if there'll be a season 3, there seems to be enough material left for another season.

Zhao Zanilia is too cute looking even when she tries to look stern it just doesn't pass on her face. Not sure if it's just me who has trouble taking her role in this drama seriously.

Chinese names are usually three letters, the first letter is surname, middle letter traditionally has been a generation name, and last letter is unique to the person. In this case Jing is the generation name, each family has a calender of middle names they cycle through and in this generation for the King's family it was Jing. So that's why all the princes names start with Jing, the only exception is for Jingrui who is not a prince but it was explained in the drama the King honored him by bestowing the Jing name to him. So he got special treatment and also why he is seemingly close to all the princes, not only because his mom is the King's sister.

I don't remember LiuTao's dubbed voice was like this in season 1. I really hate the dubbing for her voice, it sounds like a constipated little girl who can't speak loudly for fear she will scare her dog.
