Lack of parental instinct is exactly one of the reason I dislike Yehua and BQ. So many times in the drama they were going to die or do some other things without even pausing to think 'I'll be orphaning my child.' It was always about them about their love and willingness to sacrifice for each other which is fine and dandy, but soooo selfish considering they made a life that they have a responsibility to.

I really hate Hua Qian Gu and her clingy personality. The number of times shifu tells her to leave him alone and she ignores all of it. She's like a vine sticking onto a tall tree sucking the life of out it.

Wow a drama where Zhang Vin is main! I can't wait! I absolutely adored him in Love O2O and in Eternal Love, he has such expressive eyes.

I have a love/hate relationship with this drama right now. Sometimes the characters and plot just drive me up the wall, I hate Hwa Shin sometimes but love him other times. Pyo Na Ri pisses me off royally, how can she not know which guy she wants to date and marry? I am not having a good time watching this because whenever the plot/charac aka Hwa Shin or Na Ri do something totally ridiculous it makes me want to drop this drama, but then another part of me want to see their happily ever after. It's taking me 5x longer than normal to finish this drama lol.

He was so cute as KO. I hope he takes part in more of those shy quiet type roles it's perfect for him his eyes do all the talking.

I would pick Moyuan to be honest, Yehua strike me as too young as Bai Qian tends to tease him. It shows in his decision making too, he has a martyr complex a mile wide, keeps secrets from Bai Qian, don't know his own limits and he abandons his responsibilities for personal reason. Just count the number of times he almost die (4) shows he puts no value on his own life and how can anyone feel comfortable living beside someone who keeps throwing himself at death?

I kind of got the feeling High Gods are only limited to the descendants of the primordial ancient gods. Like Moyuan, Yehua are dragon clan, Zhe Yan is phoenix, and the fox clan are all direct descendants so they get a chance to undergo trial for high god. Other immortals can only become gods at max, at least this is my interpretation.

I don't like crime kdramas but maybe for Lee Bo-young I'll give it a try... I Hear Your Voice was a good one although that was more on the supernatural/melo side of things.

I don't see why not. Her role in Legend of the blue sea is similar personality wise and even more comedic.

Seriously this drama is so heartwarming I feel like my heart melted into a puddle. Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Min Ho have excellent chemistry <3 I'm seriously surprised at how well I liked Lee Min Ho in here. He's improved his acting so much and actually emote well now, he's not a blown up wallpaper hangup anymore.

Finished phew this drama was definitely a long haul. The pace was too slow between ep 5-12, if they gave more time to the ending it wouldn't have felt so rushed for me. This is my first time watching a 16 episode drama with each episode being 1hr17min long and it was a bit of a pain. Overall a 9/10 for me.

Personally I feel the main character in eternal love is but a puppet to fate and destiny which controlled who she fell in love with ended up with. To me this is a sign of a weak character, but it all depends on what you consider weak/strong female leads.

Reading the novel that this drama is based on really disappointed me. Compared to the drama the novel is really inadequate. Everything was told only from Bai Qian's perspective and she remained in the dark with regards to happenings around her 90% of the time. I'm really amazed that the screenwriter managed to piece together all the events left out of the book and created such a impressive storyboard for the drama. I heard there is a sequel retelling from Yehua's point of view, can somebody tell me the name of this sequel?

I second this. Poor Shifu his expression when he woke up and found out his beloved 17th student was engaged and to his brother no less! I cry. The setup for the ending was horrid as well, Shifu was nowhere to be seen. After Yehua died I did a mini cheer because I thought somehow this meant Shifu would unexpectedly rise to become lead in a surprising ending.

Just when the female lead becomes strong, she loses her memory... Chinese dramas are always like this so freaking sexist *sigh*

On episode 6 and I still don't know who she's suppose to be in love with. Usually by this point the drama makes it more than glaringly obvious. So I suppose this is refreshing except I really want her to fall for her teacher.

The fat guy annoys me so much I swear. His greed almost got him and everyone else killed so many times and he doesn't learn.

The first half of this drama got my expectation up so high because it was witty and funny, but the second half just went to hell. I thought the comments were exaggerating but no, the second half and end is just beyond bad. If the first half scored 10/10, second half totally got 1/10. Hence my 5.5 rating.
