cant believe this, i'm logging into this website just to leave this comment; WTF is up with the writing on the…
The show itself revolves around dumb misunderstandings so they made sure every primary character has some role to play in them lol. Tbh when the dust settles, the BFF does admit that she didn't see it coming. As for the yiyang part, that was a generic advice, not a serious suggestion or anything.
I didn’t like how she was treating him…she really pissed me off when he had to ask her if she’s not going…
It's mostly an adaptation issue from the source material. Ning is more accurate compared to Wei. If they had adapted Wei more accurately, like much more psychotic, Ning's actions would have made much more sense.
not bro being so jealous even after having kids and kicking his own son 😭
In the novel, he is jealous of his own kids because they take a lot of Ning'er's attention away from him lol. So petty. But it also explores their married life in depth.
I don't understand if this is actually set in modern times. A novel written by a woman? Is this actually a modern-day…
Showing reincarnation after death or self inflicted death is absolutely a no go in China unless it is shown like that in the drama. Ignore the modern day bits, just couple of seconds added to bypass the censor laws.
As much as I love Bailu, I couldn't stand Shu Yi's character in this... made it hard to watch the middle arc of…
Her character is alright, only alive person among a bunch of zombies. She did her best given that the writing is so weird lol..plot: guinness world record for stretching several misunderstandings as lengthy as possible.
It really is how people say, the chemistry between the leads is great and it's worth watching for them, but the…
The plot indeed is ass. Legally Romance has some office settings similarities but with a better plot, better side characters and very similar chemistry between the leads (Song Zuer is an acting titan) but that show has exactly the same rating.
Probably because TTEOTM traumatized people, they use this show for recovery. Ass plot be damned.
If you had to attach an example to the term 'bang average', then it would be this drama. I'd say it's 60% Bai Lu and rest..everything and everyone else. At times, I felt like it's a simulated reality like the Truman Show, and every single character is a 2D AI NPC, and Bai Lu is Truman Burbank (Jim Carrey). The writer of this show was high on dried greens most of the time writing this. Also, 36 episodes for modern romance stories should be a crime punishable by screeching chalk sound on chalkboard. But the offbeat nature of it is entertaining, hence I watched it fully.
When will China ever gonna improve on their drama vehicle process photography ? It's shite in most dramas, notably in this one. They are still stuck with the 1960s rear projection. It sucks donkey bollocks.
I think this is decent, but what killed it for me is that they wasted 10 episodes with the girl crushing like…
I suppose we have interpreted things differently. It definitely wasn't a monotone for 10 episodes and then another for the other 6, unless you skip many scenes. To me, the progression was sort of like this..
*Bong Soon's crush of Guk Du was infatuation and idol like admiration (High school jock crush in Western style) rather than straight romantic feelings. Something she fantasized about happening but also knew it wasn't realistic given her secrets. In drama style, misunderstandings and missed chances.
*Then she met Min Hyeok, whom she thought was gay for a good amount of time. She wasn't the smartest tool in the shed after all. She could be herself 100% in front of him. She realized the feeling of liberty bit by bit. When she realized that Min Min wasn't gay and in fact sort of into her, her outlook started to shift. The Lomeo (Romeo) Juliet dreams were her paradigm shifts, shown in drama style.
*On the other hand, since Bong Soon started to be around Min more and more ..Guk Du started to see a side of her he had never seen before. So his impression of her started to shift as well. He always cared for her but perhaps, not seeing her real side prevented him for pursuing her in the past. As for when Min and her got together and Guk's realization hit at the same time, that's just a drama being drama.
Also the drama is a bit dated so one needs a decade old glasses to see this for what it is.

It didn't feel like that at all to me. Firstly, Bong Soon's blind crush was one sided, the guy had no clue whatsoever and moreover, treated her like a fragile doll. She still crushed over him anyway. You can call that infatuation, admiration, but not love. But the moment she entered the real professional world from the over protection bubble that she used to be in, she started to experience what it feels like, to be cared for in exchange, what it feels like to be her true self around someone and not being treated as a freak. So for the first time she experienced genuine care and eventually, love. It wasn't a sudden 180 degree. Also, seeing a nice man winning over your family with ease can do a lot to a girl's psyche. So day by day, external and internal (her mind) factors helped her cross to the other side and one day, she crossed the ocean of fantasy to the land of reality..and just gave in. The first dude had a lot of chances but he just was too late.
it's better than Goblin, ppl are just nostalgic about Goblin
Bruh. Goblin plot might be simple but the acting performance..if Goblin is Training Day, My Demon is A Madea Christmas. Gong Woo and Kim Goeun are acting titans.
SML know from the beginning ML and FL have feelings for each other but still dude went on with his feelings and…
I get what you mean. But look it from this perspective. Usually when you know you have feelings for someone who is A, does not reciprocate but respects you and B, already taken, you would distance yourself and keep minimal contact for your own sanity. U Tak could not do that. As the fate of dreams bound the trio together. And all 3 of them were needed for the story catharsis, and of course proximity like that, the feelings got the best of him. But still he did not really cross the line.
The hug that you talk of, there are debates about it. Some agree it was friendly, some say it was way too friendly. Perspective. Personally I think, it was his way of letting go.
I absolutely did not feel one shred of evidence of great chemistry between the leads. To me it felt like two actors…
What do you mean no chemistry. The male lead is introverted, the female lead is very young so, their interactions were unconventional compared to people let's say, are used to relationships. She also knows that the guy doesn't talk much, shows love through subtle displays of affection, so she adjusts to it accordingly. It evolved quite well. I mean, when the FL calls the ML 'My Queen", that was kinda electrifying lol
The writers were high anyway.
I agree with the 2ml issue. In the source material, the dude is a background character. So trying to reinvent him, the screenwriter fumbled.
