A very run of the mill, easy to follow rom com. Keep your brain in the fridge and you might enjoy it on a slow day. Leads are likeable so the show is watchable.

In order for X to empathize fully with Y, X has to KNOW what they are empathizing with Y for. Sheesh.

When did she abandon him ? She 'broke' up because at that moment she thought that was the right thing to do considering everything that was going on. Human flaw. Even 'right' after that she made sure that he didn't face any issues at work, got to the bottom of how things broke out and kept tabs until they reconciled. So no, he was not abandoned, not even for a moment. But he felt that for a short amount of time. And she was there right when he needed her.

The rating is quite justified. It is a rather simple modern romance with all the usual tropes but they are meticulously executed. Very very few dramas can achieve that.

Do continue. As the leads start to navigate and deal with their feelings in the real world, the VR relevance slowly fades. Think of the world of VR as the mind of the male lead. You will know as you watch on.

Fair. Aside from Ruipeng being a rather unscary demon lord, the drama is good, should you decide to watch it sometime. Of course, I have my own issues with it.

It's the same in Moonlight Mystique, but the dude is easy on the eyes so, that's alright for a lot.

I think she did in the original story. But the parents were crazier there, much crazier.

Quite understandable considering the situation she was in. They toned down the drama a lot from the novel due to censor issues but boy she's a strong one.

Everyone in this drama is flawed but that's being human. ML was understanding. He started to soften up when he saw her making an effort trying to break out of an impossible situation, realizing that he has not quite moved on and trying to push her away wasn't gonna work. He was understanding enough to not reveal to her about the whole ordeal knowing how that would totally break her.

It is baffling that China are producing better shows recently even with 500 different censor laws that they have to navigate through lol. I hope K-content producers get a reality check.

With the entry of Netflix, Disney plus, amazon prime.. garbage ratio has increased a lot.

Netflix has an algorithm of producing content. It's an open secret. Basically they use big names, throw a lot of money and use extravagant set pieces yet the content is hollow, and still make good money. Most of us who watch something on netflix, we pay half attention towards it. But it keeps on playing in the background while we are texting someone. Stuff getting streamed, makes them money. Netflix knows this, and doesn't bother on deep writing.

They do have some good stuff but most are just empty inside. Netflix K-content has more popular IG and YT reels compared to the actual show premise.

Not a whole lot of good kdramas taking place, mostly mediocre, while cdramas had some bangers come out one after another. So that side is more buzzing.

You can blame Netflix for that.

Being laid back adds to the rewatch value. One can enjoy it feeling good without reliving emotional turmoil lol
