now i'm even more excited :oooo i hope the drama airs soon T.T
ep 12 made me cry real tears of frustration. how broken do two people need to be to make each other hurt so bad despite loving each other? especially thit. what he did was low, and i am so angry at how stubborn he is. i wish he used just a bit of the common sense that a lawyer needs to check all facts, and used words to actually talk. jee heard him say that he will let go of the case and evidence if she sleeps with him, so what do you think she would do, especially after no one has ever loved her for her? i was so upset that he translated it as "i'm a woman with no dignity and i used you to get this far". one could hope he'd stay away from her after that to not ruin everything, especially after he shed tears and was (is) angry at himself, but no, ofc he is so into her already that he can't stay away but forces contact, goes from hot to cold and cold to hot, and even gets jealous of other men that are close to her?! and how convenient is that he can tie it all into him protecting his poor (read: crazy) sister, who is so sure jee is stealing her husband, when he clearly showed that he knows chaiyan and jee have only a platonic relationship. (p.s. god bless chaiyan, now that's a good man.) huge props to writers for creating a character so complex and writing his inner battle so clearly, and big credits to mark for portraying it so perfectly. you know a drama is good when it affects you emotionally and makes you write rants about it. T.T
My thought exactly. I was afraid to say it first tho. Some may roast me for being racist or something. Anyway,…
i took a look at your completed list, and i didn't see that much diversity or a large amount of c-dramas, plus you said you "never tried watching them in the first place", so i didn't know you've watched them since a long time ago. maybe c-dramas aren't the thing for you, but i don't think saying they're weird if they just don't fit your taste. i had a hard time getting into j-dramas for example, and i don't think they're weird, i am just picky about which japanese works i enjoy. i have seen some really bad j-dramas, which taught me what to avoid, but i've also seen a few great ones, and i'm always looking for more dramas like that.
I think the same, they haven't brought up the topic of adoption in the whole drama, if you're infertile and you're…
i think they mentioned adoption once in an episode, but it was a very short conversation, they basically just let us know that jhr has thought of it since she knew the requirements (?) for it. but they didn't bring it up ever again, that's why i think her dream of being a mother might include experiencing a pregnancy, not just raising a child.
i remember my first thai drama being hormones, and i was so disappointed i ended up dropping it. took me a while to find what i like but after loving hua jai sila and currently being obsessed with kleun cheewit, i think i have found my niche of things to watch. i don't like abusive relationships though so i guess i will have to be careful about my picks ._. but hjs and kc have made me more excited and motivated to explore more of thai works. it's just that now i know i should go for something more serious and emotional that youthful and super cheesy, if that makes sense, because out of the 2 thai youth dramas i've watched i enjoyed absolutely none. XD
i'm really annoyed with the kdramas style of breaking the couple up just before the final episode. maybe my lack of experience is not letting me understand, but i thought jhr and hys promised to stick together and find the way. i got so angry that he was talking about how selfish he was by getting together with her and still made a decision in her place that they need to break up. it seems like he started seeing his ex in her, and thinking that he needs to let go for her to be happy, and that is just dumb. the preview looks very promising and i hope they do find a way to have a baby. they could still go for adoption if anything, which is a good option in my eyes and i do not understand why they've been ignoring it so much throughout this drama. if her dream includes wanting to experience pregnancy then of course it would not be the same, but as far as i know even newborn babies are given up, so if they wanted to, they could find one to take care of and be able to experience the early days of his/her life.
This! And how is it Yi Sang's fault that he's infertile ? Ha Ri is also infertile. He's so annoying with his jealousy.…
true!! no person can choose what happens to their health, and no one chooses who they fall in love with. jaeyoung -- especially as a doctor!! -- should know better than to diagnose-shame other people. and it's ridiculous for him to disturb their relationship like this when he didn't need her for all those years.
1) a high schooler kissed a much older adult man who's also drunk2) there is a character that's doing blackface/cultural…
when i said it, i mostly meant the sexual undertones. it's a thing western tv show viewers are used to, and you can't deny that. most people who don't know anything about the korean culture probably didn't bat an eye at the scene where the prostitute appeared.
Why would they cancel it?Because foreigners don't like it?
i think the main complaints they have is that it's based on a racy adult webtoon and labelled as a 15+ family drama, high schoolers being sexualized and a high school girl kissing an adult man.
episode 2 was sooo much better. the scene of saetbyul hitting a passed out daehyun wasn't ok and the racist character (idec to remember his name) is still a big no, but other than that it almost felt like a different drama. i'm starting to think they really made the first episode like that just to get attention.
