i hope we get more articles like this!! it was fun reading how the same dramas can have such contrasting opinions, and then comparing it to mine. i think i can relate more to city's thoughts btw! :D
the trio of xiaoju, xiu xian and kuanyong absolutely stole the spotlight for me. i loved them so much, they were definitely the best part of the drama. otherwise, i think the plot and the characters could have been more compelling. at least half of the characters were boring af, and i found the drama quite draggy during the last 10 episodes or so. 6/10 for me.
if not for the messy writing, this drama could have easily become one of my favorites. i adored the characters and it was actually very fun to watch. however, i cannot ignore the lack of logic and depth in the writing. 7.5/10 for me.
I thought it was pretty funny too I was just sat there thinking, oh okay you've just been murdered then revived…
i'd say he looked hotter before and now he looks more like a psycho. XD but tbh the writer suddenly announcing that "most people's souls aren't too different from their looks", that only the leads changed drastically, it seems like lazy writing. this basically means that since go seyeon got ~so much uglier~, her soul is worse than some serial killers' souls because their faces stayed the same... i want to facepalm. -.-
i'm really worried about the older sister, seoin tbh. her husband is suck a jerk,,, i hope she can get out of the abusive relationship she's still in. and now she has some sort of symptoms too, i suddenly thought what if it's not a pregnancy but like, an illness or something. :/// i really hope not though, i hope she can have a happy ending.
well, personally i did not know she would be the antagonist. i kept seeing comments how awesome all the women in this drama are, that's why i made this comment. it seemed like everyone else likes her. "lmfao".
if a korean drama has a rating below 8 on this website, it means it is really bad lol
no it doesn't? there are many good dramas who have an average rating of less than 8. abyss has its flaws, but it's still an interesting drama to watch.
it doesn't automatically mean that a drama is bad if it doesn't fit your taste, just like a drama having an average rating of more than 8 doesn't guarantee that you would enjoy it! :)
the moment when she said: "what can you do for me?" and he almost ran to her, oh my goddd. jung haein really knows how to do emotionally intense scenes, doesn't he. *-*
This is perhaps my favorite j-drama now; I absolutely love it. The characters were interesting to watch and the friendships were really cute. I found the main couple incredibly adorable, and I felt for them a lot. As for the basketball part of it, I do like basketball in real life, so I found it interesting too, but looking at it objectively, I think they showed all aspects of basketballers' life very interestingly and realistically. 10/10 would recommend!
btw was i the only one who thought it's funny that kwon soohyun had to basically cut his hair in the middle of filming his character's death scene? :D
also that ending!!! cannot wait for the next episode T.T

it's 6 eps for season 1, right? does anyone know when season 2 and 3 will air? ._.
because it really sounded like she'll kiss him
10/10 would recommend!
