when the first trailer was first released, it was all about blonde hair smarty and college fluff. when I started…
I WAS ABOUT TO COMMENT THE SAME THING. only saw ep 1 so far i thought this was gonna be a fluff school drama but also the production looks pretty legit...will it match how legit the storyline will be? we'll see. I haven't read the novel
I've only watched the 1st ep & she's irking me already. She's the one that seems arrogant to me. Thinking he's…
yah it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that he left her the evidence and she's still falsely accusing him like that tbh I feel like they're just trying to feed the trope the misunderstanding doesn't go too far though
I just saw AvenueX's review on this and I totally agree!! (with a grain of salt...I like 80% sugar and 20% broken glass ratio...not a big fan of extreme heart-wrenching moments) so y'all should check it out if you're still deciding whether or not to watch
I was thinking about this too...I'm not entirely sure (and no, I'm not talking about the last 2 min...that's an…
yup! the real ending only kicks in after the ripple FX (after her and ML area walking with the kid back from a signing event and after she explains that he is a professor) so I think the ending of the book doesn't really logically make sense/align with a realistic timeline
if she were to explain all of this *after* the real ending kicks in, I think it would make sense. We know that ML is a professor (but if they had a kid in reality and second CP got married in reality; but no kid, and no 2nd CP marrying in the book) then, it would make sense bc there's a disconnect between the book and reality)
just that w/in the book timeline, having her go from just getting married and publishing the book to: having a few-yr-old kid, 2nd CP already married w/kid, ML already a full professor, AND a book signing which make is it look like the book was released just a bit ago (not years ago before pregnancy) it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense it *would* make sense, if the book signing was for her *second* book (like a sequel) but the book cover is the same so it doesn't add up
hmmm now that I'm thinking of it...*maybe* it could've been a special edition release of the book...a few years after the first drop...then it couldv'e made sense
I'm definitely overthinking it...but just in the spirit of discussion I'm being picky
hmm I liked that ending I feel like its even more unrealistic to just have that as the story. I think the story is strongly based on the author's real story (the emotions and some parts of their history). basically, just imagine the story without her being afraid of fire and him time/book traveling and being able to do martial arts because XiaoWuDi was based off of MaoXiaoJun in the story (as explained by the fairy), we know that his feelings, ways of thought are practically the same as MaoXiaoJun so we know that their real relationship journey was similar
MXJ likes FL the whole time (childhood sweethearts) but expresses his feelings like "Mr.Bad" and FL thinks that MXJ doesn't like her. But MXJ always wants to protect her. But then they figure out that they mutually like each other and they start a relationship.
rather than thinking of this story as a fantasy that all of a sudden deletes itself from reality, I think we can think of this as a modern romcom told in the eyes of a fantasy
this is so good!! quality acting and production. I also do like the ending...idk why people were hating on the ending (I actually only watched this bc I saw someone's ending spoiler and thought this was an ok end) I don't exactly like the "pseudo ending" though (iykyk) some things didn't exactly align logically BUT the real ending is solid so I guess it doesn't matter all that much?
I was thinking about this too...I'm not entirely sure (and no, I'm not talking about the last 2 min...that's an…
so in addition to how did he got his ID, I also think the timeline doesn't match up... we know that they get married, then the book gets published, then it shows a scene where they don't have kids and are talking about the book being promoted then all of a sudden, first *and* second CP have kids about the same age (maybe a couple years old) but then she's going to a book signing where she gifts her boss a book...but in reality, that book dropped a few years ago?? it doesn't make a whole lot of sense
and ML is now a professor at a uni...before, he was explaining how he needs to take the gaokao, then get into uni...and to be a professor, he needs a PhD. It might be possible, but timeline is a bit tight. If he takes the gaokao, then speeds through undergrad (taking summer classes and overloading all semesters), maybe he can finish in 2 yrs. And he can jump straight into a PhD, maybe he can speed through in 1 or 2 yrs? idk, seems really tight. Some people take 5-6 yrs doing a PhD, depending on their major. and I'm not even mentioning the time needed to work your way up from Assistant Professor to full Professor
but all that being said, we as an audience can glaze over it because the last few mins explain that it's just in the book (and the real ending is what they want us to care about)
quick question, how did he get a birth certificate and ID?!
I was thinking about this too...I'm not entirely sure (and no, I'm not talking about the last 2 min...that's an easy answer) I have to think the only way is with photoshop (like how he tried to PS his birth certificate earlier HAHAHAH) or I think the fairy probs gave it to him bc he knew that this time was going to be long-term ngl...a lot of the end of that story doesn't really make sense (I'll comment below)
this FL is giving me Miranda Cosgrove vibes?? this drama is so quick....there's literally a full 360 rotation going on LOLL but it's so short I don't feel like I wasted that much time
this is the second drama I saw the LiuTe as the ML...and oof same comment I had on the other one (Please Feel at Ease Mr.Ling) I was pretty excited based on the trailer and summary but the execution of the storyline is extremely mediocre idk if it's just LiuTe's bad luck or what...getting these half-done scripts (like a pie with a great crust but questionable filling) also LOLL at the second CP that went from 5 to 100 real quick I'm on ep 9 now...I doubt I'll have a change in opinion with the later episodes
ngl this drama had so many cliches, I was ready for FL to actually be the Yun Group daughter (I already thought of the story...FL mother and father divorced and FL mother brought FL back to China with very little money and fell ill)
1. They don't date til later eps (30ish) but in some earlier eps the FL asks ML to be her fake boyfriend in front…
and just to build off of that ^ 2nd CP has a lot of screentime in the middle but towards the end it gets more balanced (and obvi in the beginning before 2nd CP meets, they don't have screentime) so it's really that middle part
I think I would've had to ditch work if this dropped in one go
excited for what's to come then!

just a very mediocre modern rom com
so y'all should check it out if you're still deciding whether or not to watch
