In reality, there's a new restaurant that sells brains and he thinks the brain grooves are too shallow and he doesn't like eating shallow-grooved brains so he didn't go to that new restaurant. The best deep-groove brains are from the school cafeteria. But she heard him out of context.

I think it has to do with how she grew up
(when she was young she was bullied for being "ugly" despite her name meaning "beautiful person" and she was always top of the class. now she wants to build her persona around being pretty rather than ugly and smart. So even so once in a while her "nerdy" side comes out, she's putting high effort in being pretty and cute...and cute is classically associated with ditsy) it's a really basic character/personality layout so I don't blame you for thinking it's dumb.
I'm just watching for the lightness.
but also I think it's part of her "revenge" bc she recalled him standing her up in college, calling her stupid, and saying he doesn't like stupid people. So she's trying to get him while acting stupid

but I'm deaddddd they are going to make Shi An (40 yo) act as a student? and Ross Chen (30 yo) is a student too LOLLL. They don't look too old in the pics and it doesn't look too obvious in that 720p trailer...but it's probably going to be obvious somewhere in the drama

yah the way her character is written I guess makes her act "cutesy" on purpose (and show that she is by over-dosing it and having those slow shots) which is definitely more annoying than having a cute and happy-go-lucky personality not on purpose

she also talks like that in other dramas too...Moonlight is one of my fave dramas so I've just gotten used to it
but yah, its kindof her real voice (like preferred voice? not everyone has just one voice/way they hold themselves)

like it just makes his character so 2D
