I did not know it was physically possible to put as many tropes in a single episode as they did in Ep. 2.
no worries, you'll see it in all the episodes after as well (I'm only on ep 9 buuuut...I feel like I get the gist HAHA) the writer really did go off the prompt: "put as many tropes in a drama as possible, while still achieving flow of the storyline (for the most part)"
watched 2 eps...full of funny and second-hand-embarassment moments. love it also, I really like Wang XuDong playing these secretary/silly best friend roles
have to say...leading up to when he found out (ep 21), I was skipping through 5 or so eps bc it was getting a bit boring. But now I can't wait for ep 23 (and the rest of the drama) to come out!!!
yesss the time skip was so weirdddd it just says "1 year later" in the drama but it's hard to believe that ML…
that might've been one of the reasons but another one was definitely to give the ML and his crew a chance to interact more with him to gain more wisdom (for example, Chen JingDian saw a lot of growth and it brought back DouZi; ML was able to study for the exam) I think another was to build up to the ML/FL break (they had their issues before, and this time ML really marinated on it but FL just took his odd behavior as stress from Manager Sun...and didn't realize until he brought up the break)
and yah ML's demeanor really did change a lot! although, I think they put that last bit in just for laughs (when they guy asks for time off and ML is like "wuat, y u again")
finished it finally, just wondering how many years before the timeskip since i find it bizarre he was already…
yesss the time skip was so weirdddd it just says "1 year later" in the drama but it's hard to believe that ML became manager already I think I came to terms with it, though, after remembering that the Manger Sun was out :(. So maybe they had a temp manager and Manager Sun recommended ML (ML probably took the Star Training Program...I think he mentioned way earlier that it takes half a year to complete...which probably fast-tracked him)
wait if they just started filming December last year (2021)...I have a feeling we won't see the turn around time that quick...looking at the quality of the poster
maybe someone else can answer?
but also EP 3 AND THERES ALREADY A MINOR PLOT TWIST ooh I'm so excited for the rest
iqiyi is slowly releasing them with subs (you get more eps with VIP but its still not fully dropped yet)

seems like a melodrama though...(someone correct me if I'm wrong!)
