not sure which 50 episode you saw...but mine actually said "the end" at the end. the web release of the drama only has 50 episodes because they time it differently

LOL just realized the drama ends in 4 episodes...wow the happy ending starts when the brother fixes his problems (it better have a happy ending...I didn't suffer for nothing)

just saw the sneakpeaks for the next episodes! Have a feeling that the brother is gonna get his turn around in 3 or 4 episodes. And it seems legit too.
also I used to think that the ML mom's misunderstanding was completely uncalled for. But now, just watching ep 40, with hearing more details that I can see where she's coming from.

This drama is definitely a treck but I like how things aren't just magically fixed.. I feel like in reality, you need to be "woke" multiple times to make significant change.

Mmm I think that recently feminism has been on the rise in China...I think that culturally, its now less acceptable to only favor boys of the family. The Chinese gov does censor a lot of things, but there's always gotta be a villain. Also, he is the way he is today partially because of the patriarchal mindset of the dad

Her selfish motives included moving herself up in society and helping her family (I think she wanted to be more affluent for herself, but she could also claim that if she is better off, then her family is better off too). The sinister thing is that she chose to cheat people of money (while looking like she works hard to gain their trust). Nothing wrong with trying to make more money to help your family, but she just did it the wrong way.

I do have to say, I thought she was more sinister too, originally (I thought the guy laying in the bed wasn't even her dad lol)

no recommended/similar dramas so far...no other drama has this amount of toxic characters. no one can compare
