Erm ok. So I’ll just imagine the last 8 minutes never happened. It’s like you bought a really nice looking antique table on eBay but then when it arrives it’s an origami table the size of a blueberry. Other that that i found it to be a really fantastic show. Good acting, good story, good humour and some good conflict.
it is really intriguing 'cause it sets a moral question... but there was and there is a specific reason we created…
When the law fail to deliver justice, those who seek it may seek deliver it themselves. By whatever means necessary. We created laws. But often laws fail to be just. Those we elect fail to be just. The line between justice and vengeance can become blurred.
8.1 but people are 😳with ending? What is so bad about it?
all I can say about the ending is that, it could have been better. But it could also have been worse, like they could have done a cliffhanger at the be very last scene, where it’s revealed that the AI is actually in Jiang Yu’s body. Fade to black.
Classic move made by Western studios. Setting up a second season that never happens because of low rating.
Hey gurl!! I decided to watch this drama because of all your positive feedback ant this ...but I just read this…
i mean I can totally see it. There are moments where the mom’s like….this kid really reminds me of my ex. His action, attitude and words reminds her of a man she once loved. It does get a bit weird and cringe in a few scenes. But of course nothing happens.
Can anyone explain the ending? Is Chen Bida alive? A ghost? An imagination? a hallucination? I'm quite confused.
at first I thought Chen Bida was in Jiang Yu’s body. The way Jiang Yu was talking to him like he was there, but also wasn’t there. But then Gao Wenming showed up and I’m so confused. I think he is dead though. He can’t be in Gao Wenming’s body because that’d be way too weird. But then Bida asked his son to put in a good word for him to Jiang xiaoli. Why is there a need to do that? it’s not like they can get back together again.
In the end I blame Jiang He. He had so many opportunities to set things right and instead just sat there while…
it really is all of Jiang He’s fault. His one decision, and cities burned, whole families were massacred and the kingdom thrown into war and turmoil. That is some achievement
You really didn't understand the LZS character. Remember the hidden meanings in a work of art. A character sometimes…
the only thing I understood about his character is that he lost his moral compass.
His past was indeed tragic. But many people’s past are. I’m sure his character could represent a number of things. But one of them is ‘evil’. He was not born evil but life turned him into an evil person. The world showed him no compassion so therefore he has no compassion for the world. Did he really not have any other choice. A path that did not involve bloodshed of tens of thousands. He represents a victim, who suffered so immensely . He wants justice. But for that justice, he was willing to burn cities. His savagery is unmatched in the show. He had a hand in almost every massacre starting with Yangzhou. He was willing to kill 300,000 people in fell sweep. Think about how many families, how many fathers that is.
Everytime I start to feel sorry for him, I can’t help to think about the lives he stole. One wrong done to him he repaid 10 fold. 10 wrongs did to him he wanted 1000 fold. I’m not quite sure what else there is to understand.
So our 3 families . The Zhou’s, the Ye’s and Gu’s have all been hunted and massacred. Because of Jiang He and his cowardice and Luo Zi Shang and his madness.
I would have called it a perfect ending if father Gu was alive. He would be so proud of his son, and he would have loved his grandkids so so much.
And If Zhou Ye had a chance to marry Qin and have a daughter with her. But I guess they didn’t have time for that, with the world in turmoil and all of them on the precipice of death, it’s not a great time to being a child into the world.
wow LZS is really a supervillain isn’t he. He’s not satisfied just bringing down the Gu family, he wants the whole world to fall. He was ready to kill 300,000 people in one go. All to satisfy himself. Think about families that is. How many fathers he’s killing. If he had 100 lifetimes, he could not even redeem himself.
If Qin survived, she would have been princess and eventually queen. But much like the late elder Madam Ye, she is a warrior not a princess. She’s like Zhou Gao Lang in this way too. She excels on the battlefield. Would she truly have been happy in the palace? But she is still young, perhaps she would have done what Madam Ye did, give up her sword for family. Zhou Ye would not have had a harem so it’s not like there’s any concubines for her to manage. Would there have been anything for her to do inside the palace?
