It's scientifically backed up, that viewers want actors and actresses younger than themselves. You are, and I am betting a million euro, the exception. Its great that you do, but it's just not the standard. You are entitled to looking for older cast, and the rest is entitled to look for young eye candy.

ah ok yeah, i gathered that much from the comments and the review. more like love scamming/love bombing sort of scam. so basically criminals, but worse, coz they not only steal money, but rob their victims of their emotions as well, so that they are psychologically damaged and scarred as well.

i am not sure, i mean, sometimes i do watch non idol dramas. but most times. .. yeah, shallow me wants a good story, with pretty faces. and not too heave topics, coz reality currently is too stressful, and i need dramas for escapism.

i think, its very human, to be critical towards everything. and comparing anything, not just dramas, is normal .

i do agree though, there are probably not a lot of chinese BL dramas, considering that chinese fans, on their sheer numbers, are logically, also have a sheer number of overcrazed (BL) and non (BL) fans, who are running rumpage, if their fav star / idol is getting some flack .
as far as i understood the drama history, dated back then to The Untamed, things went crazy, and such, the chinese governement had to crack down this craziness, and curb the excesses and heavily censor BL dramas. completely understandable.
