the only thing I found disappointing was the first prince. I found the actor not really convincing as a hardened prince, nor did he have tons of charisma, which ok maybe my expectations were too high. having such a prominent uncle such as lord langya, messes with your head, ok.
this is the first drama after WoH, where I really GJ. but I didn't came for him, I was honestly just interested in BR as a whole. and damn, those fight scenes will haunt me forever, and set the bar for all and upcoming dramas of this genre .
i thought, when destiny brings the demon, would stay my fav drama this year, after most dramas failed to catch and keep my attention, and I was already thinking, well 2025? will be a sad year for my personal c-drama watching history , but then last month, blood river, sword and beloved, and whispers of fate started, and all three kept me glued to the screen, and cursing my job (which in this current world job market situation, is really... ungrateful, coz I am exceptionally privileged in a world, where younger folks are struggling) , and each evening coming home, to push myself to watch, and having like 4 hours sleep.
from all three, BR wins. with a large margin, though I also desperately love the other both dramas. Cheng Yi looks gorgeous, and leo is a mythical godlike being with the costumes and his visuals. both cannot hold against Su Muyu and Su Changhe!
especially Su Changhe or rather the actor, has been a REVELATION! wow, he starred as SML or side character in all three dramas, and damn, in each one, he is something completely different, and looks different, if I didn't knew, and looked it up, I didn't think I would recognize him.
I NEED HIM TO BE ML LIKE yesterday! as Changhe he is the hottest star on BR! damn, Patriarch, I would work as an assassin for you, and being a killer , without any payment. i am fucking 47yrs old, the last time I was collecting pictures of actors on my old school desktop computer?? was when untamed aired!
i would go on and on... but I want to rewatch the entire series. whenever I think, ok, maybe its time to return to US TV Shows... c-dramas managed to push out another gorgeous piece, and pull me back.

its a normal and usual thing in chinese lore, and mythology. either you get white hair, in romance stories, when you are in love, and the one you love, either died, or they betray you.
not the case here, so its only, coz TL is using his life force to keep the heart of Fangzhou alive , thus its been draining him like a battery. and since its battery is nearly used up, the hair goes white.
don't worry, after a few dozens of cdramas of this kind, you will get better in Chinese fantasy lore.

it was kind sad, coz some of her identities, she did so much good thing for fandom back then. she practically run half the fandom at that point, but too sad, she was psychotic.
i am pretty much sure , with mental health degrading the last 20 years, fans/ people like that, who have issues in real life, have turned into worse things online.
