i think, in human history, most royal families, for them, the children were not "children" or at least , not just children. Not when power, wealth and anything else conncted to it, is at stake.

I am of Chinese origin myself, but would i be considered anti-China, if i say my family hates the chinese government? Or hatw anything related to communists? We are proud of being Chinese, but are not proud of the CPC, same goes for the vietnamese origin of my family. i think, every every watcher has the right to be critical of any show, or drama.
not just this one JOL2..but any drama, be it sequel or not.

i guess, the point is, is it just phrased in a respectful way of criticism or is the critic purely and solely negative to a point, that you want to badmouthing the entire drama for the rest of the audience?

we are all humans, and we are all entitled of having opinions , negative and positive ones.
the lines of what constitutes respectful critic and just plain negative spouting nonsense is often not entirely clear.

i mean, most of us probably dont get paid to watch any shows, so if i see someone said, its bad, and dont get into it, but then this person keeps on watching, and returning to share their negative findings of that drama, and to spoil the drama negatively for all others, who like it?
instead of you know, like any sane person, moving on, and finding other dramas, they might enjoy?
its seems such a waste of time. to fight or argue with others over something, that you dont like.
why do they do that?

the novel is , from my memory, a really huge mix of all kind of genres, thats why i guess, its been difficult to adapt into a tv drama in its entity. that would have required like 200 eps or something. i think, someone made the work, to count all characters, and the author could rival with Lord of the Rings or Game of thrones, i guess. like 600 characters in the novel. sure enough, lots of ones, that just appears once, but still.
imagine needing that much of a cast... uff.

BUT, we are entering the age of AI !
my youtube feed already has ton of fake trailers, of past and current US movies, with a cast , that the respective fan wanted, but never got.
in this way, my best guess is, in about 10 or 20 years, we all, can take all our favorite novels or dramas, no matter which country of origin, and with the help of AI (and assuming, we pay an international license fee, so that those actors faces and voices get compensated) we have completely tailorized dramas, movies and music.
probably, in the beginning, it will be a huge IP license mess, but sooner or later, things will sorted out, (as well as the mess is already here, with all kind of idols and female stars, gets their faces plastered on porn in some dark web spaces and forums , i stumbled upon some, while just looking for fanfiction! urggg, i just wanted written porn and romance, NOT visual graphics...).
we will probably insert ourselves in those stories as well. LOL, i will be 60 at best by then, no way, i will insert my old age faces into the dramas, but taking my pics when i was 20? why not?

lol, when back then, 25 years ago, i was watching matrix with keanus reeves, i was pretty sure, it was just a matter of time.
