I've always wondered.. why don't production companies sell the rights to these BL dramas to overseas streaming…
my best guess is, they fear retribution of the goverment. even if there is no official rule, you know this is a party ruled country. if those production companies sells those stuff that is banned in china? this could be seen as circumventing the chinese regulations, and fans would always find ways, to get the dramas from overseas.
if i were an hardcore communist party member? i would punish the production companies for such an act. money means a lot, but money doesnt mean everything in the eye of the party.
