How about we acknowledge that you don't need to be physically strong and independent to be a worthy female lead?…

The FL here have high EQ. Also depends on your definition of strong FL. For me, she’s a strong FL, she’s not…
You have summarized that so perfectly ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I think it's called Ben Zou in Mandarin
i doubt, its a matter of right or wrong.
i have seen several ways, how western non-chinese fans have been written this phrase. so yeah, both how i spelled it, as well as how you did spell it, has probably been used. plus lol, some other spellings.

after all, its not as if mandarin chinese is based on western letters.

i was just realizing, which is actually like the English / European equivalent of the pronoun, that DF uses for himself, like I remember somewhere here in the comments section, there had been a minor discussion about this:

the phrase "Ban Zun" when he is referring to himself, is akin to what European kings and emperors would say with " We, royal us " !!

its explained here :D
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_we

this is so cool / funny!

wow i found this Gem way too late! I thought it was one of those draggy ones with bad CGI. I was wrong! It's undeniably…
I thought the same in the beginning, because this drama was like not being talked about ANYWHERE at all, and i never saw any of the cast prior in any other dramas..

but just after the first ep, i was like wow, how did everyone just did not mentioned this? did they had no advertising at all???
of course, you see talking about all the A-List stars, but this was more than just a gorgeous surprise!

(though i do think, the trailer for CLJ was only ... mehh. its been nice, but didnt capture the gorgeousness sufficiently)

Something just occurred to me today. So I was browsing tiktok and saw these edits of Thranduil (Legolas' dad from…
hahah you are not alone, i thought through watching entirely the same!
like, of course, the long hair does give all any any chinese drama immortals ( no matter which side they are on) some elves vibes.

but in this case, yeah,DF and Thranduil really were like... the sneering, the arrogant attitude , the I am better than you all vibe!

and hahah their pointy hairpieces! they would need swords, just take that and stab their enemies is like sufficient ( i mean, most enemies just would fall for the beauty, and submit anyway, whats the point in fighting?)

I dropped LLTG twice..part 1 was soooo slow and draggy But I’m glad I stuck it out and went back to watch it..wow,…
After such a msterpiece, honestly, its Hard for everyone to move on. I am not even trying. Either the next great thing will come along or i will watch CLJ on the loop.

ohh and the soundtrack of CLJ was just.... wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh last time i loved a OST that much, was probably Long ballad! and SSS.

but i was thinking of another older drama, that had similar gorgeous cast and costumes, ice fantasy from 2016...
that was gorgeous too. even though the story was harder to follow and a bit more convoluted.

very true, the battle scenes in both dramas, were great, albeit for different reasons.

CLJ was naturally heavily rely on CGI due to the fantasy setting. while LLAG , well would be expensive too, coz of the setting rooted in real landscapes.

its sometimes more than hard with stories. like SSS and Joy of Life or Nirvana in Fire, i enjoyed every single minute, and i hardly did any skipping or FF.

with IS and LLAG , i was like, urgg damn... why does nothing happened? why is everything like repeated three times? even if both those shows had the cast of CLJ , I am afraid, that would not have helped me through them... i would rather watch still posters of Esther and dylan instead LOL

even with leo being a great actor, could not save LLAG for me, sadly. the story, which is more or less a family and political drama, was just too slow and uninteresting after CLJ.

but so far, nothing more interesting than CLJ came out, so i will just have it run in the background, until at least something remotely interesting like love a thousand years might come...

Is the S2 confirmed yet?
is there even news or rumors about S2?

the story is concluded, as far as i see. i dont see any sequel necessary.

sure, it would probably be cute, and if the script is great , it might not even ruin S1, perfect as s1 was.
but with the chances of a bad script, i rather not have S2, and having the actors given the chance to explore complete new roles.

Anyone watched miss dragon? Is it good?
i have watched a few eps back then. it was boring to mee, and both in the cinematographie as well as dylan himself, the acting got him lots of critics.
the story & dresses & music and so on, the entire FX, CGI wasnt nearly as compelling as CLJ.

thats about the general opinion.

i think, you should simply dl a few eps, and see if its your taste. everyone feels different with every drama, ratings are sometimes a good indicator, but not always relieable.

I hope you are just being sarcastic here, because it's a fake news made by haters, hope no one will believe it🙏https://twitter.com/sayangshuxin/status/1567175185337561088?t=z5appkNJ43CZbD3xv4AP4w&s=19
it doesnt actually matter to me, whether those rumors are true or not.

so what if he is a billionaire that can put out money for this child?

its not like it works differently in Hollywood or anywhere else in the world? why are people so upset about this?

its not like the son of will smith got all his roles, in those hollywood movies, coz he had only talent? having a father with the name Will smith made it.

same for lots of other stars.

people are stupid.
yes, its unfair, and no its not different in all other areas in our lives. if you come from a rich family, you are able to buy apartments, flats and houses in cities like London, Paris and new york. your rich family is allowed to support you.
why should it be different in movie industrie? as long as the person is talented as well, this whole being upset biz is just hypocrites.

I really hope there is not a Season 2. I’m worried about there being stupid misunderstandings and noble idiocy.…
ditto. this was so perfect, any continuation or sequel might ruin everything!

i would rather having them , actually all the cast, take this opportunity, to make other dramas.

I almost dropped the drama because I was getting annoyed by how often the FL would betray the ML and him constantly…
compared to other dramas, the 2 or 3 times, she run away, or rather was lured away, is like nothing.

from all dramas with this kind of trope, CLJ already has the best track record, how the FL and the ML fell for each other.

i cannot think of a single drama, that handled the transition better.

you have any suggestions for other dramas, that have a similar set up with similar tropes that are better?

definitely joy of life. both dramas are supposed to have the same script writer, i think, the humour in both dramas…
Sorry but i cannot. The Person who gave the link to me asked me specifically not to post it here either in the comments or discussions section.
