i tried LLTG ,but sadly not my cup of tea. i like leo wu, but he alone , well wasnt enough to let me go through those eps.
its not really a political drama, more like a family drama...in my opinion.
i suggest, you just watch through the first 5 eps, and see if it works for you. coz in my experience , if the first 5 eps dont work, its rarely that the rest until the end, will work for one.

How is LLTG? I love the leads but I’m hesitant to start it. I’m not really into dramas that are heavy in family…
i mean, its not always their fault, if they get the character type casting thing. if she got her initial success with that certain role, then producers and network will proabably use that formula again and again , to attract the fans.
of course, i wish for dylan to play another villain badass again, but then, i also wish for him to be able to expand his repertoire and for his career to take off, like ähh zhao zhan or wang yibo? i dont want them to stuck forever in their initial success roles..

its sad, but its true. no matter how hyped or good looking actors and actresses are, i need a compelling story, and long ballad worked for me, it would have worked probably, if other actors than leo wu and dilraba played those roles. coz i like the story.

honestly , i think each of us should judge for ourselves, how about you give both LLTG and IS like 5 or 6 eps, i mean, if by then the story and the couple will not work for you, then i doubt, it will work after 12 eps.
thats how i usually proceed. i really, really wanted Immortal samsara work for me, coz i like the male lead, but again, that actress ( i cannot even remember her name) just... she and i , we dont mesh.
i am not planning for getting over this show. in fact, i will rewatch all my fav scenes daily, until china drama land is giving me some other drama as a better drug, otherwise, i will watch this along with untamed for the remainder of the year.
