i couldn't agree more. i understand people not liking the makeup but seriously,,,,they casted correctly. the dynamic between JJY and all the others is something rarely executed right and for people to say "oh she's a bad actress, whiny and leechy and not strong enough for wuxia, she'd break into half if someone hit her" like wow shut up-could it be any more obvious that it's biased criticism? idc if wen bin is girly, that's the point, and the need to body shame JJY is totally not needed. truly disgusting.

understandable, and well said. i totally agree that the deaths are frustrating and painful to watch, i felt it too. i just don't want people to think it's a bad drama because of that and it lowers the quality of everything else. it's good to feel emotions when watching a drama, that means the writers/directors did well to get the audience attached to certain characters.

It's not really the director's fault. In multiple dramas he's stoic and unable to interact with the FL well. Example, The Love Lasts Two Minds or Legend of White Snake (the one with JJY). ofc maybe his characters aren't fun loving and immature, but it's just a fact that his acting isn't that great. it's not all the directors fault lmao for him to score as ML is already impressive

i mean like yeah you can be upset about characters dying; that's the point. the writers did good if you're emotionally invested in the characters and feel dreadful when they die. maybe the story is a little depressing but no need to trash the drama. ofc i get it,,,but calling the drama/writers "bad" just for making ya feel sad isn't it.

i mean it's just toxic hate at this point calling her "fake" and stuff. all idols and actresses are (from some extent) manufactured images. they were forced to be something whether they like it or not. esp. for JJY, she always has to try to do things her fans like and just go with it.

i don't know what episode this was in but i remember shen leqing blaming the shen family for her parents' deaths. she has a personal grudge i think. but forgive me if i'm wrong, i forgot things here and there.

sometimes cdramas just don't make sense like that. i don't think they're trying to "milk off" actors/actresses, but yeah i see a ton of people complain about the bad guys not getting karma. this happens because it's reflecting off of the time period in chinese history where nothing made sense and evildoers roamed the court. in the world, not all evildoers get what they deserve. that's just how it is. but agree to disagree i guess.
