I feel like this drama would be such a disappointment/waste to viewers if the OG actors and actresses aren't invited, so I honestly think it's a possibility that ZLS and DYX will be back. Imo the biggest reason why there's even gonna be a part 2 is because of how positively viewed the dynamics and humor were, and without the original actors it wouldn't be the same.

The ending was.....strange. haha

i agree! i watched the first 20 or so episodes on prime and it's pretty cool stuff. idk why but i don't like ran yan's VA xD i don't hate it but i'm reminded of the "i'm too smart for you" person y'know hahahhah

fr! the people who give bad reviews/don't like the drama solely for it's differences to SKK scandal go into the drama with an evaluation mindset, not an appreciative or "just for fun" attitude. i understand the FL isn't your perfect strong female character, but i liked how she was strong in some areas and weaker in others. it gave the character more depth. i honestly didn't care about the cross-dressing and how "unrealistic" it looked, the lipstick was a bit much but otherwise i didn't mind. for those who want to watch the drama just to point out how SKKS is better, well, suits them i guess. i personally enjoyed it since i didn't come in with a negative or very critical attitude. i'm not saying that comparison isn't allowed (obviously it's gonna appear) but to call out this cdrama's weak spots by just arguing that "SKKS did it better" isn't as helpful. there are weak spots in the drama, yeah, but i like to see people discuss it without bringing up the OG and its superiority. it's not exactly a helpful detail, imo.

it was pretty good, but lacked a satisfying ending. it doesn't necessarily make it a hot mess, but lacked here and there. clearly it doesn't surpass the OG in any way to people, but i didn't go into the drama thinking about comparing the two. i enjoyed the ambiance and dynamics between all the characters and the FL was tolerable. JJY's hairstyle whenever she wears a hanfu is actually really nice compared to most of her straight black hairstyles. the "inaccuracy" or inferiority to the original doesn't bring down the quality of this drama as a whole. if you watch this drama with the "i'm going to compare this with SKK scandal" mindset, obviously you're not gonna like it on its own. i don't really mind if SKK scandal is better, i just appreciate the overall vibe of this cdrama. the characters had personality (besides FCJ he was just a bookworm) and there wasn't a lot of filler episodes. the conclusion to the drama was kinda weak though, just a marriage and done. i wished there was a little more but i don't really mind.

yeah she kinda just got stuck in the manipulation hole. i just didn't really see HFX "find herself" because she was deliberately forcing herself to date LM and it felt so off that she had to keep a journal to record if she had feelings or not. she found some of herself, yes, but mostly she just found what she wanted.

i dunno if they have JJY but they might just convey their opinions in a less sensitive way. my point is, being rude in return doesn't do anything good. they had a point that could be elaborated on, sure, but it wasn't something aggressive.

I mean tbh I could settle for any ending and not be that pissed. I'm just that kind of person. Although I find the ending interesting, it definetly could have been better. The rather weak ending was slightly disappointing but didn't really effect my views on the drama.
