Just started this and am already so lost. Who's who???
For those who are ahead of me, please enlighten me, is the Empress Dowager evil or just stupid? Her trust in that girl (for the life of me I can't remember their names) the one that schemed against Xue Ning with the paper, seems ridiculous. Like as a seasoned royal she can't be falling for that kind of weak excuses unless she too has an agenda right?
Why only one episode today ... the airing schedule sucks. If you insist on draging out a 24 episode series into a 36 episode one, then it should at least be 2 episodes a day no breaks. That way in minimizes the feeling of it being draggy.
I did enjoy today's episode with the MC. The secret is still humourous to me, I know they need the inevitable misunderstanding so I'm just resigned to it. What actually annoys me is the way she can't just be truthful with her mum, that makes zero sense. And it's what will make her look worse later, as it reinforces the idea that she was playing games. As opposed to if she's at least honest with her mum in front of him, he at least gets some assuarance that while she may have had an ulterior motive in pursueing him, she's serious about him now.
I wish Yu You would thaw a little faster, that his interest in Shi Que would be more overt by now. I really like Shi Que, she's pursueing her man fiercely but in a very gracious way, not desperate or entitled.
I've given up on the third couple, Ruo Shan irritates me, maybe they are trying to show independance but really she comes across as fickle and dishonest with herself.
Pacing isn't great. Last 2eps it was only YY and SY's relationship that held my interest. Ruo Shan is just annoying and amaeturish at this stage, actually feel sorry for Guan Ji. And our leads are just stagnating. They've stretched this out too much, hate to say it but I'm losing interest.
That moment when her friend warns her "No matter how much fun you have don't go as two and return as three" I kind of wish he had looked her straight on either grining or with an eyebrow lift cause that would have really flustered her but I guess he was going for aloof and sophisticated π
Out of the all the currently airring modern c-dramas (Rising with the Wind, The Furthest Distance, Love is Panaeca), the leads in this one have me the most hooked.
I absolutely loved the first 2 episodes, hence me stalking this page just waiting for the weekend. I just have one concern, I hope it doesn't turn out like The Real Has Come!, that started with potential, ML first came across as having a backbone willing to step up as FL's protector only for it to become some whiny makjang. Please please, let them have a mature adult relationship with proper communication but also a dash of swoonworthy romance. I haven't seen a well executed one in a long while. π€
Started strong but wasted last few episodes. Esp. ep 30, they could have at least given us a HE epilogue. They dragged out the dream and the coma period way too long.
Enjoyed it right up until the last episode where they had to have an unnecessary obstacle and the cringest ending ever. ML though is π₯ And SML is an entertaining idiot, actor played his part well.
Felt the same, I guess they listed all the barriers, so we now know what they need to overcome. I wonnder if this…
My fault for starting an ongoing drama instead of waiting to find out if it has a happy ending first, but I'll be so annoyed if this ends up a sad or open ending. Their chemistry is too cute to be wasted on such an ending. ;(

Jealous Dylan being my favourite π
