Couldn't wait and ended up reading the novel over the weekend, it was worth it. I liked that the novel gives us more insight into ML's pov, which is rare even in English romance novels. That both of them represent strength (in their own way), quiet but active support in a relationship. There is a selflessness in the way they both love the other.

Agree, the nationalistic propaganda is painfully heavy-handed which ironically undermines showcasing their country's artistic talent. Really impressed with JBR's ability to emote so well.
Where I'm watching it, the subtitles are making me cross-eyed. Both regular and lyrics are formatted the same size, colour and font against black rectangle. And when there are both lyrics and dialogue concurrently, the dialogue is overlayed on the lyrics and you can't tell where one starts and the other ends. 🤦😤🤦
Anyone recognize the ring from any of the episodes in season 1? The way Ha Joon is targeting the team, seems like he's on a revenge mission, wondering if he's tied to any of the characters in season 1 and the end scenes zeroed in on his gold signet ring twice.
My favourite couple is not in the list, but I have voted other that I loved a lot: Louie and Bok Shil :)
Who is your favourite couple? There were so many, in the end I narrowed it to couples with happy endings and contemporary couples (though some fantasy ones cross time periods). Even then I prob have left out quite a bit, might try to add it later.
Leads have good chemistry and are quite cute together. Prince Wen Ying is a hottie, hope he remains a good guy and doesn't become like his father. Prob won't happen but I can see him and Chi Lan together, Qi-Qian marriage alliance ;)

I really want to interepret the ending as this, but then the note doesn't make sense if they were working together. Would have been so much more satisfying if they had shown us how they turned the tables on Eun Hyo.

Seriously needs an epilogue, especially when the few cute couple scenes were all in a dream sequence and not reality for the couple.
Another C-Drama with a rushed and disappointing ending. I did enjoy everything prior to the last 2 episodes.
