Title Rookie Cops
where to watch this legally if you are in US? (i hate watching on third party sites with ads)
On Our Beloved Summer Feb 24, 2022
Good thing I usually watch drama out of whim and not read reviews about it first. It’s a simple yet satisfying romantic drama I have been looking for a long time. I have been in drama slump in awhile and this got me out of it.

Now I need to fill the void. ughh it’s been weeks and I still can’t move on. Anybody have recommendation? I watch kdrama, jdrama, cdrama, even thai - just don’t recommend me a cheating plot (and not 2521, planning on watching it with when there enough ep to binge)

where did tu post it?
it’s on her ig story, not sure if it was still there, you can probably find the video on twitter if it’s no longer in her ig since she posted that sat/sun
On F4 Thailand: Boys over Flowers Feb 23, 2022
Seeing the scene where Tu posted Thyme wiping Gorya’s tears. I’m guessing she prefers that version more? If I were to choose, they could have worked out with that version and Thyme choosing to give up because he sees her tears and her struggles.

I understand Gorya with all my heart, her reaction to Thyme & Lita kind of reminds me of Irie Naoki of Itazura na Kiss. I remember he was pissed off and annoyed at Kotoko because he was jealous.

Though I understand Gorya, I hope she realize that letting go of Thyme and pushing him to Lita doesn’t just affects both of them but also Lita. In the long run if Thyme wouldn’t be able to learn to love Lita (which we all know he won’t), it would just hurt Lita more than ever. As it made her a rebound as this point.

What I love about Ren in this version was that he didn’t use Gorya as a rebound, and ultimately he didn’t push Gorya & Thyme without knowing their feeling to each other. Ren was away when two develops feelings, he came back not knowing where they stand, but instead of immediately helping them get together, he had make sure that Gorya does have feelings for Thyme, and playing a game to make Thyme admit his feelings for Gorya, he then decided to drop the bomb about Gorya having feelings for him. He made sure both side are in this together and not just Thyme or Gorya have one sided love.

This applies to shipping real people as well, we can support and say “I would be so happy if they start dating” but it would be toxic to push them together and be like “please date”

Has the ML in any version ever proclaimed he's calling off the red-cards? I don't think so. The red-cards are…
I agree, the other version didn’t really close off the whole red card thing/bullying. It just got forgotten throughout the process of the story.

ML here also seek approval/validation from his mom, he is seeking that love and does everything to be what she wants him to be. I remember when MJ would tell him he cross the line by giving a girl a red card, and needs to stop, he would have a flashback of his mom.

I have been in a bible study with people with such messed up background that it scares me, but with such group, I learn that people can easily make mistakes and do so many terrible things, hurt people around, but are very much capable of change.

We are forgetting that these character are in their youth, they have so much growing up to do. Even those in prison are given a chance to change to be the better version of themselves.

Change. We are constantly changing, one time you love chocolates so much then later on you aren’t as into them as you did before.

We were shown the destructive character of Thyme, we were shown how he accepts defeat, we were shown his will to change, but unfortunately, most people has only remembers the violent part, it’s like the the rest of the episode didn’t happen.

We all might as well be Gorya who yells at Thyme of his incapability of change.

How hard it is to change? when no one around you believe you are able to. When people only see the dirt of your past and never the attempts to change. It’s 2022 and we as society had transform into a whole cancel culture because of past mistake, we as society just choose to see mistake, and no amount of stories is able to change someone’s mind esp when they are close to see another perception beyond what they see in their little circle.
On F4 Thailand: Boys over Flowers Feb 6, 2022
I remember Tom Felton’s interview about his character Draco Malfoy. He said something along the lines of Draco having such a messed up personality because he grew up in a messed up household. Speaks so much of Thyme’s situation. His mindset are the way they are because of the way he was brought up, but the beauty of his character is his growth.

Every villian story has a messed up background making them the way they are, but their redemption is what makes the audience root for them. Contrary only few people in each fandom root for the MC that is just all nice and heroic. I see this a lot especially in animes, or even in popular fanchise (ie Marvel, who Captain America was never been a fan favorite, or Harry Potter, who barely anyone would choose Harry as their fav character)

Redemption and Character development is what drives the story. We see character growth, we feel their character more. The first half of the story focuses on Thyme esp since we need his redemtion arc in order for us to root for him. This version did such a great job to show his progress.

Ep 8 marks the end of the first half of the story, one more episode and we are halfway through. We see Gorya in Thyme’s lenses. If it isn’t obvious, we see constant angles of Gorya in Thyme’s pov. I’m hoping to see more of Thyme is Gorya’s pov this time. We see a glimpse of it on this episode, and it’s very satisfying. I know with the challenges they are about to face the story will shift more on Gorya’s character.

not thyme almost punching gorya lmao the bar is in hell
I think you missed the point that even with his full rage mode, with all that anger, he was unable to hurt her.

If they show him punching the wall beside her and assaulting her like other versions did then that’s more likely to not like the male lead, just may personal opinion
On F4 Thailand: Boys over Flowers Feb 5, 2022
Thyme has anger issues, he’s like a wild animal, he is a ticking bomb, his character has always been this, we see him grow on each episode but the moment Gorya stops believing that he is capable of change, followed by lies, and then seeing them in intimate hug…

Are we really expecting out of character reaction? his emotions are all anger, frustration, sadness at the same time because he was gonna wait for her, but it was a slap that he had nothing to wait for.

During Gorya confronting him, the moment he heard Ren’s name out of her, it triggers him, he threw the chair (i have repeatedly watch this scene bec everyone says he threw it AT her but it didn’t seem like it bec her back is the white board not the cabinet?) to shut her up from speaking, and repeatedly tells her to stop talking, he desprately wants her to tell him she hates Ren just to give him hope that he can still wait, that there’s still a chance for him, and when he didn’t get the answer he wants, he was about to to take out his frustrations again at her this time but he stops because even then he can’t hurt her.

He sobbed, and tells her “You will never choose me anyway” this tells how much he was hanging on that hope of her to ever choose him one day.

I got chills in this moment, it gives you a moment of second thought if Thyme is something to root for, but this episode was the door of question to Thyme if he is willing to go back to his ferral old self or is he willing to work more towards his betterment, and by the end of the episode, he made the choice to end it once and for all.

In Thailand, more people on FB are Team Ren while on Twitter, more are on Team Thyme. Thyme seems to dominate…
TEAM THYME wholeheartedly
I’ve never supported ML as much as Thyme because he redeem himself early on and I can root for him all the way esp since the actual love triangle started.

I was never on anys team on other version except HanaDan since I love main couple in that version, but even then he’s still this toxic ML but a lot more tone down.

Meteor Garden 2001, I was on SML at first before he uses FL as a rebound.

but yeah team thyme for sure on this.
> 30 (says a lot since I have watch all versions during their time it comes out)

While I was kind of iffy with the whole asking her on date. I find it very on character. Thyme has said it himself, when he wants something, he won’t stop till he gets it. He has openly express how he wants another date (since after their first date), a proper one, he wanted to impress her with “F4 style date”.

The whole interaction of Kaning telling Gorya to just go along. Gorya saying she wants to say no, then later saying she kind of want to go, confused me. And if she really didn’t want to go, she isn’t gonna even try to go with his silly request. It’s like when Glakao told her “are you afraid that Thyme will be a trouble or that you won’t be beautiful?” like at this point Gorya is split into two, she herself doesn’t understand what she feels.

The date, she dress herself cute. This can be intrepreted that she prepared for that date as much as Thyme, thinking about what to wear and all that.

out of all the version, this Tesla guy did push my buttons, the urge to jump on screen was very strong on this one.

Can I talk how much I love the scene of GORYA LAUGHING AT THYME’S RANTING HIS ANGER AT THE STUFF TOYS ahh that is such a cute scene. The genuine laugh he can bring out of her is just everything I need at their dynamic.

Thyme telling her he will wait till she feels the same, and asking her not to give answer right away… that to me was asking her to give him a chance. And him pinching her cheeks, and she blush. We are seeing signs she likes him but she isn’t seeing it herself. THEIR CUTE SELFIE TIME AND THEIR SMILES AGAIN! ahh the chemistry is indeed strong.

I like that what triggers Thyme was when Tesla said “Can I take her next?” like dammnn I’m glad he got beaten up

Gorya and Thyme’s argument right after, I felt how much those words hurt for Thyme, I felt so bad for him because writers/director did such a great job showing his changes. It made the audience sympathize at that moment. The accusation of Gorya that he never change. Her words weigh heavy because it’s coming from the person who’s the reason he exert an effort to change.

Gorya’s reaction, although I was mad, I understand it. It’s an intial reaction, she sees him punching someone brings her fear. Her fear of his nature to be violent. It’s just sad that even after getting to know him, the moment he starts punching someone, she already put her judgement on him and did not try to hear his explanation.

At the end Thyme seeing them from afar hugging kind of intimately. Some would says, we’ll him and Gorya are not a couple. Put yourself in his shoes, sure he is aware of her feelings for Ren, but what excuse does Ren have? and the lie on top of it, as they are meeting secretly. It’s a misunderstanding on top of another misunderstanding.

Ren little hints of wanting to start dating Gorya even when, one, he still didnt fully heal from Mira, two, your best friend has clearly shown interest to this girl, if you suddenly felt like you want to pursue the same girl, the least thing you can do is talk to your friend about it? it’s such a turn off to me.
On F4 Thailand: Boys over Flowers Jan 30, 2022
The Highlight of the episode for me is Thyme talking to Ren. Like on all other version, I’m waiting for ML to talk to him simply because they are friends, and I love that this version it shows that Thyme really knows Ren, that he notice he change bec to me it felt weird that FL sees SML change but not his friends.

Love that he tried to cheer him up in his own silly way. I mean Thyme could have ask Kavin or MJ’s opinion more since those two are more of a dating expert, but he try to find a way to cheer up Ren just a little bit and ask him AGAIN if he’s okay. They imply how he ask before but just didn’t want to say anything. He probably want F4 to hang out so they can talk, but they ended up bringing girls to the party which he already said that no girlfriends, in turn he become loner with his phone lol
On F4 Thailand: Boys over Flowers Jan 30, 2022
Did anyone else felt chill about the mother? like I’ve always felt how evil the mother on other version but this version I felt chill from her like I’m legit scared of her because we see that her children really are afraid of her. Tia on all other version stands up to the mother, you never felt like she went through an arrange marriage against her will. This version highlights how both Tia and Thyme doesn’t answer back the mother nor try to go against her.

She mold her children the way she wants to, she call them perfect when she can control them. She’s this mother who sees her children as products that needs fixing when they don’t act like how she wants them to. She’s indeed that villian that you felt like swallowing hard just being in the same room.
Replying to Chibi Jan 29, 2022
See this is why some changes can be a hit AND a miss....Thyme's observant and sensitive side makes him extra cool…
Idk why but I actually felt worst this version, maybe because we see him trying to change for her, being open to her, being parient like he just said then bamm we get something out of Gorya how she still see him as that villian.

It hurt me bad because it feels like everything happen in between just vanished, that feeling that the person you values the most didn’t see how much effort you put in.

then he sees his best friend and that same girl who will never see him as nothing but a villian.
Replying to zleighz Jan 29, 2022
Oh lol. I heartily disagree.  I empathize with the FL the MOST when she's struggling to know how she feels and…
in HanaDan, Yuki said “If you don’t like Domyouji, you should turn him down”

I think this speaks a lot even though I’m sad they didnt include that in this version.

She agrees to entertain his feelings with going on a second date with him, but then kiss another just kind of turn off. Imagine you confess to another guy, and you guys went on date then you see him kiss another girl? that’s kind of disturbing.

I’m all for figuring her feelings, which is why the whole date with Ren was essential part of the story for me bec by this time she & Thyme had cut things off after he turn the whole school against them. That date didn’t bother me or even if they kiss during that would be fine. It’s about how the timeline of events.

To me it played well when Makino dodge Rui’s advaces, it speaks how she herself may not realize it but her heart says otherwise.

that’s just me, but I see your points 😊
Replying to irene K Jan 29, 2022
regarding point 1...I don't think FL actually considered it as a date..atleast in this version she has clearly…
I’m talking about the second date, on all other version she ask him to go on double date with her best friend & his boyfriend
On F4 Thailand: Boys over Flowers Jan 29, 2022
it’s only few hours before ep 6 and I’m really anxious because I know it’s gonna end with Thyme seeing Gorya & Ren. I love this version so far and I’m afraid for it to become dissapointing.

If they do a kiss or not, this will determine for me if Gorya is that female lead I can root for wholeheartedly

I’m not into the whole Ren/Gorya kiss :

1. This is the part where FL gets indecisive. Like going on a date with ML then kissing his best friend later just doesn’t sit well with me. The only reason I like HanaDan above the others was that she actually dodge Rui (SML) attempt to kiss her which is to me a huge plus points.
2. Ren kissing Gorya while he’s still in process of healing his wounded heart from Mira? No that’s just wrong.

I’m into angst, but I don’t want this show to be just all about it. Till this day, everytime I hear “Broken Vow” song I’m horrified, they prolong that amnesia arc just for angst. Sorry but everything is about limit and balance. I can’t take this show to be a whole angst fest.

FL becoming the most indecisive character ever had left distasteful taste in my mouth, it got too hard for me to root for the main couple. I remember on chinese version, I was delighted to see Dao Ming Si and Yuan Zi (fiancee) kiss just to see Shan Cai gets hurts bec I’m very much annoyed at her lol

in Taiwan version, she kiss Lei twice, the second time during the time she was already in love with Dao Min Si, like I just stop caring at this point lol, In 3 version, Taiwan/China/Korea I had learn to like the fiancee more than FL
Replying to taofiqa sultana Jan 26, 2022
I think it will be a misunderstanding because from the hit of other clips , Gorga and Ren will not kiss but probably…
I remember a scene where Thyme took the fiance’s hand by mistake thinking it was Gorya, it was during the party, so if I’m seeing it properly, I see Lita running at the party as well.

Thyme realizing he grab the wrong hand, I know he left her on the street or something, he most likely went to Gorya’s house afterwards then Gorya called mom to tell her Thyme is at her house.
